Don't worry about increasing angle right now. Worry about line and smoothness. Period. Angle will come as an almost side product of a smooth drift with a good line.

So, it's LINE and SMOOTHNESS. Worry about nothing else for now.
Yeah, so I'll try to smooth my line were I can cause I see no other option for that 180 degree than too enter it drifting it the "middle-out-far out and long" instead of "OUT-in-out" and ruine the next opposite corner

HOOWEVER, since my school started today:yuck: I almost have NO time to practice, also because I'm changing my room a bit........well...........VERY MUCH to prepare for the DFP I wanna buy if I've got the money from my games that I'm trying to sell:sly:
Maybe my smoothenes will increase immediatly after I've got used to the wheel:tup:👍 So it's gonna take very long before I'll be able to send your guys a vid. as I did earlier, with the progress I made, sadly:guilty: But my smoothenes is about to be perfect:tup:

Well, I thought I HAD to post SOME vid. to let you know how I'm doing and if you see any improvements or maybe some steps backwards, I have posted my newest vid. in the first post so everybody can see them when they enter this thread, let me know what you think.

I just posted this AVERAGE lap wich I usually do instead of capturing my best lap as I did before. That can be improvement cause I didn't do these kind of drifts in one try but now I do. It's just also for showing my REAL progress instead of getting posted a, for me, "TOP-DRIFT" VID. I have for some reason managed to get the black bar away that sat in front of the throttle and steering icons in the previous vid. so you can give a better advice and more precise. Enjoy it

PS. STILL don't have the DFP, I now have 117,- euro for the 149,- that's needed for buying one, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Downloaded, watched it, no comments or help yet... gonna watch it agoan tomorrow and edit this post after that :)

BTW, i think i knwo whats cousing that black thing on the screen... close EVERY auto thingy from your camera, auto focus, auto lgiht adjustment, everyone you find or atleast that auto light adjustment or what ever its called... also, try recording from straight from the tv, not form up ;) might help :) 👍

Just because I really want to get things explained to beginners easily, so that anyone that doubts on beginning drifting or for people that give hope up because they can't drift, well I've got a few tips for starters and FROM a starter that thinks he can drift pretty good (hehe:lol: me offcourse):

-First you need to know something about drift settings and how these work, so that you can understand and adjust your settings or settings from somebody else, I recommend the thread/guide that has been stickied in this section, from Bryan C.
-If you start to adjust your settings, I recomend you save the original settings, and if you are already adjusting, to save your old settings first in case you have ruined your new settings
-If you just start your first drift or second or so, keep in mind that you should keep a pretty low speed, that means around 80km/hour when coming in(and that means for my Nissan Silvia) in any case, you shouldn't go fast at least
-Personally I think that you should start with "feinting" if you don't know what it is, well it has been described in this thread of mine cause I apparantly didn't know what feinting was earlier too. If you try that, I can advice you to keep a just low enough speed to turn and feint quickly and high enough so that you can at least make it through the whole corner
-You might have problems to get youself to countersteer later, cause you must be used to that if you were grip racing a lot. So LET THAT GO!!!
-As I said in an other thread, when already going sideways in a drift: TRY TO LOOK AT THE ANGLE OF THE CAR, IMAGINE THE WHEEL ANGEL FROM YOUR CAR WITH THE COUNTERSTEERING, AND COMPARE THE ANGLES TO THE PATH YOU WANT TO GO THROUGH!!!!!! You should say this about 10 times BEFORE going into a corner or start drifting, because you should do this automatically when ACTUALLY drifting and going sideways. The looking is maybe the most important cause this will be the base for what you will have to do, and explains most of the FEEL that is needed in the drifting
-Maybe you can try to first spin your car in a drift, slowly enough so that you can feel when it's going to spin, and then try to get your car under that so called limit of drifting

I can also recomend the Midfield track for learning and the lines needed for this track, all the numbers of tracks start after going over the start/finish line.
I can't tell you how much the racingline is different for other cars, I'm just using my Silvia for this and may post my entire Silvia tommorow with the settings and with the track details, and this will be for feinting. I'll update it if I discover a better line. But since I haven't got much time now, I'll do that tommorow:tup::)
SO DDDDOOOONNNNN'TTTTT GIVE UUUUUPPPPPPPPPPP:crazy:!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try to apply this in my second fourth video, but I think I still have to film from a bit up, because if I don't, the light that comes from my TV will be too bright and you'll have the whole vid. white, but maybe this changes with the auto-settings turned off, you'll never know.................well you WILL so don't worry about that:lol:

Turn one looked a little better the second time around. Keep practicing, you're bound to make a breakthrough!

Yeeeeeeehhhhhh:happy::):):):):D
So if you should rate these vids. on a scale of 1 to 25, 1 to 6 being useless and hopeless, 7 to 9 a bit of hope, 10 to 15 you're doing well, 15 to 20 your very good at it and you can start comparing with others, and 20 to 23 being REALLY good, and 24 and 25 almost PERFECT AND VERY PROFFESIONAL :)
Where should I be????

Don't rate yourself bud. Just go for improvement. Leave the "rating" for challenges and what not. Just keep on getting better, don't worry about how far forward you've come as long as you keep going forward.

Alright, just needed it because I might like to say some things like advice to others although I don't really know if I'M good enough to advice somebody else, like with the long post from me where I've put aNOTHER few tips in from me, so I'm not sure I'm advicing the right stuff.................and offcourse I wanted to know a bit more what more can be improved without GOOD smoothenes, wich I'll probably get with the DFP. But I slowly realise and begin to think that it's just a matter of style, some 360 degree tricks or wathever and just, as a basis; drift PROPERLY AND NICE, so I might know already that I maybe must go for some cool pics instead of wanting to do REALLY perfect drifts. I gues that THAT'S more what drifting is all about: beautifull, stylish, smokey drifts that's about it:tup:👍

For anyone looking for an easy drift here, try a CLK600 Mercedes, pretty damn fun and it's very easy to drift on great angles while maintaining a LLOOONNGGG drift, b.t.w. I use the DFP now and I first thought GT3 drifting was just out of the question but now I've gotten used to it:tup: I'll post the settings if someone needs it:tup::)

I'll post a vid. soon with a very fitting music that sounds a bit like the progress I made, well anyway it fits really well but now I need some drift "material" to make the actual vid. I hope it's finished before I get GT4 because then I won't be here at the GT3 drift section for a LOONG while:lol:

Untill then, and get the DFP!!!👍
