I'm afraid I tend to avoid trailers until after I catch up with the broadcast episodes.

The team's spiritual advisor Kurt Wagner has got to be the wisest and most emotionally intelligent character in all of X-dom '97. The words DeMayo and his writers have put in his fanged mouth make him sound like a cross between Yoda and Mr. Miyagi.

He's always been my second favourite character after Spider-Man. Two of the most humane characters in Marvel.
Not to mention Nightcrawler's name and the way he's drawn have always been cool.

I've stopped skipping the intro sequences to X-Men '97.

In this week's, the fleeing humans at the end just before the title have been transformed into nano-infected Prime Sentinels.

And I'm sure I wasn't the only one shouting "Groan, don't end it there" when the end credits started.

Yeah the subtle differences of the intro from each episode were a nice touch.

Cool to see the classic suits before everything went down.

I’ll just say the Deadpool franchise, Loki and X-Men ‘97 have saved the MCU.

ETA: Supporting mutant's rights to rule over humans is admittedly the very opposite of social justice. The Shaw and Selene panel seems on point to me, though.

Just watched X-Men ‘97 Assembled. Really good, but so weird watching the voice actors. Me and my wife were bugging out saying they dubbed the voices of the voice actors.

Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man is pretty decent so far. Lots of character introductions in the first two episodes.

Oh wow, three episodes of Spider-Man tonight.

I just watched the first three episodes. This toon may not be quite as fan-panderingly accurate to the source material as X-Men '97 but I think this is a good thing.

I like the animated style, the direction and acting (Kari Wahlgren usually plays weirdos like Starfire or Harley Quinn, so it's great to hear her sounding so human) and am so glad this Spidey isn't the overwrought sad sack who plagues so much of his comics run. They managed to work the supporting cast in with just enough soap opera to keep the plot moving without the melodrama of making him take a big loss at the end of every episode while a huge web is drawn across the sky.

Loner comics Spidey would've turned down the offer of help but this one realises he can do it even better as a team to quote the hip-hop opening theme. Norman's hairstyle looks better on a black guy IMO. Oh, and get Nico the Staff Of One already otherwise why have her in the show? Is a heroic Tombstone too much to ask for? If Lonnie gets powers I hope they play him like Titan, the rocky antivillain guy in Invincible. Meanwhile I hope Wittman doesn't become a supervillain like his comics counterpart. He's horrible. Ditto Cho. I guess they have to save something for seasons two and three, though.

Comic Book Guy may be busy giving this show one-☆ reviews all over Rotten Tomatoes but speaking as a lifelong comics geek myself I'm not sure where this is going next and appreciate Trammell and his team shaking up the status quo a little (OK, maybe a lot). In fact, I'm surprised to find myself actually kinda excited to see where they take this, and isn't that what the MCU (or not U in this case) is supposed to be all about?

Damn if the Lonnie subplot is a better MCU gangsta drama than Luke Cage. I like the way Rhino didn't waste any time before he started smashing stuff up too.
