FITT: Blind Tuning Challenge! Congrats to Bowtie-muscle & Otaliema! Tuners Revealed!!

Indeed

I think it's going to come down to what car the most people find the easiest to drive.
Its certainly going to be interesting to see how this one pans out and how people approach the tuning. So far I've found that almost neutral handling seems to be the way forward, if it understeers then you lose time on entry and through the bends, if it oversteers too much then you lose time on exit.
Due to the nature of the track you can get away with both traits but I think the car needs to lean slightly one way or another to be fast, which way it needs to lean will depend on the drivetrain and characteristics of the tune.

I've found in the past that when I tuned for ease of use it backfired. I now tune mainly for speed because even if they have trouble with it, most drivers can get that lightning lap out of a car.

Yeah, same here.
Although I still want to try that one I said I wanted to try.
Wish we could have been able to play with the celica and is350 Weddsport cars. I always use those for gt300 races instead of the regular ones, they perform better to me anyway.

Edit;
just a side note. In my garage is a tune for a gt300 car, I just wanted it known that I did NOT submit that tune. The one in my garage was designed for an entirely different track and weight split. Just wanted to throw that out there as we are trying to be all secretive and such ^^

When I was testing for suitable cars I found the GT300 RX7 to be way faster than the rest, bit of a handful but has a lot of potential

mgo
If I get enough time I will try to tune the 3 of this class and submit to 2 best results
I really like this challenge. 👍
Keep in mind please, you are free to tune all the cars in the class, but you may only submit 1 tune for review. If you want to submit another just for the sake of having others see and/or try it that is fine, just please do not submit until after testing is complete. The idea is for your tune to be unknown, if you submit tune of car A, then a tune for car B or C, it can then be assumed that one the tunes for car A is yours. So, in the spirit of the challenge, hold of on the others please.

Keep in mind also, all tunes are to be submitted for this challenge through PM only, to myself for The Duel, to @DolHaus for GT300 Time Attack.

it is right I haven't thought about it :banghead: 🤬

I used a light weight drivers helmet and hes only got a tshirt and shorts on to lower it even more.
He was really upset when I told him he had to pee and poop before the race to get rid of that extra 2-3 lbs.
Thanks for the cue 👍, I hadn't thought of that. Might try to convince mine to drop the shorts and t-shirt, it should give me a little more edge, I'm really going to need it :odd:.

More like every day lately.

No idea:irked:
I guess this is what happens when people are waiting & waiting & waiting & waiting & waiting ................
