FITT: Blind Tuning Challenge! Congrats to Bowtie-muscle & Otaliema! Tuners Revealed!!

Testing results posted always brings out the banter lol.
Choices choices have two tunes polar opposite of each other in terms of they behave, one is be nice or see where you just been but it's blistering fast the other is beat this to ground and it keeps on going but around half a second slower for max but a average lap is lower than the other.....
Can the testers get the faster one fast is really the question you have to ask, or, can they get more than you think out of the other.:sly:

In order to tune the car to be faster you have to discover how hard you can push the car, time spent learning the track is never wasted 👍
That is true. I have found only lately that pure control makes for the best and most consistent laps, as well as the giving the driver all important confidence.

The key to a fast lap and a fast car is managing weight transfer, each driving input is made with the aim of getting the right amount of weight on the right part of the car in order to generate grip and go faster. First you need to work out what the car is capable of, then you need to work out how to make it better. 👍

It is GVE Reverse, did I give a lap time for there or just a random lap time? :sly: Guess we will have to wait and see.:mischievous:
I may have ran a similar time...that may have been at a similar track... that may have been in a similar car...but who knows right ? Then again, that may have been before I maybe completed the tune and my time might be maybe a little faster... I think I confused myself now

Yeah, my S8 is pretty slow, about 3 seconds off. Wait, I'm still on Comfort Tires, doh. :P
I had the opposite problem in the Tuscan vs. Esprit contest a while back, hopped in my Tuscan and it was suddenly really quick and only getting faster. I couldn't work out where this 2 or 3 seconds had come from until I retraced my steps and remembered I'd been grinding cash in the Red Bulls with SRF on and hadn't turned it off

I've done the same thing many times, now I'm a bit paranoid every time my laps are not what they should be :scared:. BTW you've got mail .

I'm closing in on a 54 but I might need to back the car off a little bit. 55.1 is my best so far but running fairly consistent mid 55s

: 54 fantastic time. best I could. 55: 257 ***.
and not my favorite but challenging circuit, as this event allows not say which cars will be chosen by the participants is interesting, but we have a car practically known, he that doeth:. 54 *** lololo
