FITT Fall Battle 2.0 - Coastal Concept Challenge: Praiano wins!

Break the engine , then do oil change , wash it (you gain 1km in top speed) , do engine restore and chasis re-enforcement (GTAuto). Fullly tune it and you might get 550pp. ;)

Official entry for TUNASHIP!

No idea what I'm going to tune. Tried Nardo out just for kicks, It turns in 36's but unfortunately can't go down to 550PP.

Not really…I've got 2:44s already without even trying. Unless you're using the OFC/IROC-Z like you said you'd be doing.

And doc…I'm scared not by your entry, more by you demanding I play piano again.
The day will come you play piano for me, even if it means that I'd have to travel to hongkong.

The car is 0/0/0, which why I felt bad doing irreversible mod to it. I did oil change when I had 500pp, going to break it in 1st.

Hmm…while you two bicker over how GT5's oil change system works, a bit of an update from my side. Though I've not really taken this car as such, but the NSX-R Concept did a 2:41 in my hands, and I was being chased around by a mosquito on this lap so there's more to be pulled from it. I wonder how the Viper will stack up to this now…

Just tried out the NSX-R as well...39.9 in my hands.

I think I'll tune it, I don't have that much time to look for cars and this one looks promising (456HP 1066kg - 15 Aero - stock suspension). If there's already 2 other tuners doing NSX (including you), then obviously I won't but..

Put me down as a tester, if it's allowed.

Absolutely, if any tuners want to test that is fine with me. 👍

I am sorry if I may ask, which Cape Ring track is it for the event ?
Full course, I assume.

Yup. 👍 It's definitely on the long side but I think it is one of the most fun courses in GT5.

EDIT: Nice looking OP btw

Thanks! :D I get bored easily so I was goofing around with Photoshop one day and came up with those banners. I will be adding links to the FITT thread eventually so that others can use them as well.

I'm glad no one has opted for including the photo poll from what I can see. I don't believe photo polls belong in tuning contests...lol.

Adding to the OP:

Photo poll: All tuners named Johnnypenso must submit photos of their cars from 12 different angles for inclusion in the photo poll. Losing entries will have their cars disqualified on account of "I said so".

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Juuuuuuuust kidding!

Well...I'm currently waiting on Cy to get me the lvl 13 ticket for my Viper GTS-R which I plan to use, so if when I get it and am somewhat happy with the pace, I'll give you the spot since it's me and MCH using the NSX-R concept.

Or alternatively, you could try the equally good HSC. I've got a few lying around, I think. But they're all tuned, though it shouldn't matter since it tops out at 560~PP at best.

Okay cool. I have an HSC so no biggie.

Onboy could you send me one of those HSC's? I presume they're broken in? Revert them to default settings if you can.

If not, then there's only 2 cars I can realistically tune, as I have both, broken in: 2001 GTR Concept or the NSX-R. It looks like I'm going to be forced to the GTR.

Unless I dig out the Cadillac again...

Had a wild thought and tried my Miura - It felt incredibly taxing to drive, even after I tweaked it. Crashed / wiped out half the laps I attempted. Got a 39.7 in it but I don't think it's a good idea to go Miura. Might kill the entire tester population :P

Your Miura was awesome, I'd like to drive it again :dopey:

I agree that it was awesome at 460PP - At 550PP however it's a different story. I can share the car if you like - You'll see what I mean. It's too much car, even for me. If I don't end up finding something faster I'll go Miura but I'm pretty sure I will.

Please do share, I'll drive it when I get the chance to play, thanks.

Just bought a Citroen GT Road Car - Tested it - Got 38.3 in it. Gonna tune this car. Pretty sure this is my final choice. Me and you Praiano - curious how you'll approach the car.

:)👍 yes !!!! 38.020 after a quick tune. The problem is the power limiter.
I bought a new one with no oil change and it was ok, but i change the oil, i did not read first the power limiter 95% . so i have to buy the car again or to Bspec oval during some nights...:)
I did a tune for the ring too, faster than my 458 . 550pp sport soft 6.51

Very fast car....

I suspect the GT's might run away with their adjustable front downforce...

I can send you one , it has had the rigidity improvement installed on it though.

I'm not sure whether that will be any good, but is there any chance you could send it anyway? It has to be broken in too. Thank you so much!

It has 380 kilometres on the clock , I"ll let bob have it for an hour then send it.

Also bought mine new. It seems I had the other two versions purchased but not the road car. I'll also have to run mine to break it in and possibly make the oil a bit..dirty. So far I like the car in it's stock version so I'm not really sure how to approach the tuning but I'll figure it out eventually. Good ring time 👍
