FITT Fall Battle 2.0 - Coastal Concept Challenge: Praiano wins!

Why can't Ridox share the Viper , Onboy tunes it and tests it , then saves the tune on the paper and so. Then on the shootout , Ridox makes the Viper and paints it like Onboi wants and voilá, Onboi's viper is with Ridox.

That if Ridox doesn't need the viper.

Because I want the Viper, blockhead.

(I'm kidding about that last bit.) :P

Anytime you want the car, let me know:dopey: I painted with dark ruby red and white wheels.

Eh, will do. The ticket is such an absolute 🤬, it cycled through every single available car of the 22…bar one. :grumpy:

Edit: 1:33:03AM, 2 hours, 17 minutes and 03 seconds after beginning my cycle, I have finally, FINALLY GOT THE 🤬 THING!!!!! WOOOOOOO YEA!!!! Now, it had better not disappoint. :D

Regrettably, I'm going to have to pull out.

My PS3 RLOD'ed again. I suspect it's on its last legs now, as I've repaired it several times now, but to no avail.

Is it a FAT PS3?

If yes then the money you used to repair it should been spent on a new PS3 Slim. ;)

Noooo…I was gonna try and take you off the top this time round too…:( Hope you get it fixed.

Anyway…I'm not disappointed. The Viper's right up my NSX's backside with just a new gearbox. :D

What he means is, since +60 is effectively a drift tune setup, going the other way with an impossible -60 would give you an extreme grip setup (supposedly). He's indirectly saying that the Viper is an uncontrollable murderer with no grip.

He's wrong though. Because the Viper is AWESOME. Yes, in caps. The grip is…for a car like this, stupid. I think I'm in love…with of all things, a Viper. And one which can't have its wheels changed, nor the stripe removed.

Yes. And I didn't spend any money on it, the repair was me opening the PS3 up and doing a reflow with a heat gun and some thermal paste. It worked for about 3 months before it began getting less and less effective.

I see  too late to laugh, but still ,

I've heard more horror stories about the Slim than the Fat to be honest. I've had my PS3 for the good part of 6 years now without fault, until very recently. Doubt the Slim could do that.

It can, I run the 1st gen slim without the top cover, the fan never blows higher than boot up speed, often run it more than 24 hours. I did put some nice thermal paste about a year after I bought it, so it stays very cool.

Sorry, a bit off topic

Got some news on the Citroen GT front. Started process of tuning. Got an okay setup that's better than stock (I hope), now I just need to dial it in and refine it a bit. It's still rough around in certain parts. I finally got rid of the exit understeer but I still think I should dial in a little more slip to the front while reducing oversteer under power. Also got two new PRs.

With Full Suspension Installed: 1:37.854
With my tune on it: 1:37.038

No idea how much any of these times are due to modification or perhaps due to my skill varying from yesterday to today. In any case I do think when I arrive at my final tune, a 36 should be on the horizon. It's really hard tuning this car especially for this track. There's still one section where I'm having trouble so I do think if I take it well, that should net a good .3, or so I hope. I have very little experience with bumpy tracks (Or ones with lots of curbs) and the car is just so good stock. Saved ghost replays.

OP: "Be aware that because these are concept cars, they are not all created equal. Some will have ridiculous amounts of grip or no grip at all and some will have hidden or unadjustable downforce. That is just the way it is. If you are worried about someone having an "unfair" advantage then this way not be for you. If you are going to enter make sure you understand this."

So , what's the decision about this ??? I've spent time on this Citroen GT road car. Please tell me if it will be ok or not.
Thanks.

The OP means it's ok to enter whichever car, it's merely stating that some cars will have advantages. I think at least. DB?

That is correct. At any given PP there will be some cars with an inherent advantage. With concept cars it could be more pronounced due to the fact that there could be programming hardcoded by PD that would be advantageous such as abnormal grip and downforce. I don't know which cars they might be but I'm sure there are one or two in the mix.

That is all I was trying to put out there. I wanted to make sure that everyone understood that the concepts may not tune or drive the same as a normal road car. The Citroen is certainly allowed in so no need to worry about it getting nixed. :) I will not be removing any cars from the list other than the few race cars that are already gone.

Hi DB,
A couple of questions about the rules please:
- will grip reduction be "real" or "low" for testing?
- is steering sensitivity the same for everyone or do testers use their preference or can I specify it as part of the tune?

Thanks,
Simon

I am leaving these factors to the testers individually. As long as they are running the same settings for all tunes I don't necessarily care what they are.

Regrettably, I'm going to have to pull out.

Well that sucks but if you have no PS3 then that would make things difficult. :nervous: Hope you can get it fixed or replaced soon.

My RX8 i tuned and after i changed the oil and make miles on it become very bad as it had more HP on it now and its sliding in each corner and i can't get it down than 2:47.201 :( its very slow as i saw some drivers doing 2:37.xxx :crazey: .

So i decied to change my car and it will be the same as trackripper if it still the spot open ? Sorry DB for changing the car .

( Acura HSC Concept '04 ) :dopey:

I may still be in with a chance yet. Pulling an RJ from the previous shootout, NEWDRIVER is helping me tune by proxy.

Reserving Mitsubishi HSR Concept please.

Nothing can kill Trackripper! It's always a sight to behold when tuners team up to help each other. 👍

Ok , my citroen gt road car is out..... but i'm in again with "Nissan GT-R Concept (Tokyo Motor Show 2001)".

It can be driven automatic for testers that don't use shifter.
No aero downforce , right in the middle for PP without playing with dirty oil....

So this will be my car. Nobody chose it for the moment, better for the difference.

:):) Have a good sunday !!!
