Has anyone heard from DigitalBaka regarding his roadsters @ 450pp event and when he will be starting it/posting an event thread with details?
I'd like to know more about this one![]()
So would I!!

After what I've read about the DLC so far it looks like the only part I will be getting is the tracks and I still feel I'm getting ripped off. PD has managed to produce a real batch of junk and try and sell it to me.On second thought, I may not be buying any of the DLC now. Or possibly just the track, we'll see if they can change my mind.

Had my doubts about some of it but thought it might be interesting and worth the money over the long run. But having to buy multiple copies of the DLC for cars, paints and gears is just an example of corporate greed. Add in that half the cars are ones I'd never use and the rest don't hold a lot of interest for me to be honest.
Sorry for the rant, just disappointed by something I thought might be interesting.![]()
Well the DLC got pushed to October 25 (in the US anyway). I don't drive the touring cars I have, so more might not be too useful. I did think maybe a GT300 type shootout could work sometime though.
Now that everyone seems to have touge fever, I'm curious what events are on the horizon. Hopefully something on SPA with fast cars...
I'd forgotten just how fast a track Spa was...SPA with fast cars......![]()
like a Toyota GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) '99
Toyota MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V Race Car ‘89
Nissan R89C Race Car ‘89
Nissan R92CP Race Car ‘92
Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Race Car ‘98
Mazda 787B Race car ‘91
Audi R8 Race Car ‘01
Audi R10 TDI Race Car '06
Peugeot 908 HDi FAP '10
ets etc etc.....
I love the idea !!
Nothing against the LMPs per sey but think it would be good at some point to run a shootout for the RM, tuner and concept cars that so far have been excluded for the most part.I'd forgotten just how fast a track Spa was...
For any of you that haven't gotten to try it out yet, it's absolutely phenomenal. Graphics are second to none, not even the Nurburgring in GT5 is even close IMO.
And I'm very much liking your idea Praiano, very much.👍 I'm thinking RS tires for user friendliness this time though, any thoughts on that?
LMP's at SPA!

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat, not having the track yet, I just joined an online lobby running it last night. (Yes, you canAmazing yes madame!!! Just need the track to begin to practice
I remember it from an old Formula 1 game on PS1, it was so good, how enormous can it be now ?
Hello my friend. This track have one point that need very fast cars. Eau rouge left and right left raidillon. This is the soul of this circuit, and i think that with a slower car you will not have any difficulty and consequently any sensation to pass there.
Only who already have the track like madame can test this and tell to us.
Can you make a report about this later dear madame CSLACR ??
Sounds like a great track for cars like the Cadillac Cien, VW Nardo, R390 (either the road car or the race car) etc. Looking forward to getting it.Unfortunately I'm in the same boat, not having the track yet, I just joined an online lobby running it last night. (Yes, you can)
What I can say, is speed is IMO, a necessary element for driving pleasure at this track.
It doesn't have to be LMP fast, but if it is RM's, it would likely have to be limited to the ones with the most downforce, TVR, Corvettes, LFA, but there's not many to choose from.
If it's standard cars, drivers attaining them could be an issue, unless GT300 (cheaper) cars, or GT500 cars. In either case, a GT300 car on Spa would feel like an eternity, probably full throttle 95% of the time, very fast track, with long sweeping curves the benefit from downforce and power is massive.
Cars like the Zonda LM, Zonda R, Ford GT race cars, C5R, Team Oreca Vipers, Citroen GT Race car, could be an option also, if people have them. (Level 22 ticket gives them out also)
I don't know, just throwing more ideas out there, I like the idea of GT300's, I just don't know how much fun it would be slowing down on flat-out sections like the uphill on the first straight, which slows down 500HP GT500 cars.

I got a chance to run Spa tonight for the first time in a free run lobby hosted by a racing buddy of mine from Down Under. Ran all kinds of cars but the most fun were the LMP cars. GT500 cars at stock hp were really kind of slow here, with their big downforce and relatively low top speed, it's a big track and most of the curves are big as well. I think you need to look at 600+ hp at Spa to have much emphasis on driving and tuning.
Something that might also be interesting at Spa is a 600pp shootout but limited to cars with no front downforce to eliminate the 458, the Lambo's etc. I think if you do that, the field will be much more wide open, and the tunes will really need to be special.
Don't forget the Prius Touring Car!On second thought, I may not be buying any of the DLC now. Or possibly just the track, we'll see if they can change my mind.
Don't forget the Prius Touring Car!
(Drives great but the sound.......omg!)
More like a one dolla.....Does it whine like a two dolla ho..??

Sorry for being away so long folks! Work and the kids have kept me pretty busy of late. Rest assured, though, the planning of the Roadster Battle is nearly complete! I will be sitting down tonight to finish typing up the details and to finalize the schedule. I will run some of the details past X this weekend. Think I have just about everything worked out as far as rules and restrictions and such details but I'm prepared for some changes and edits if necessary.
Hope you all will find it entertaining!
I got in a pretty bumpy crash today fellows, while my car didn't damage at all aside from some scratches, here's what I did to it when I caught it:
Mine wasn't a fender bender or accident, I was 🤬 hunting.Yep, planning to start mine up next week Friday, so soon indeed!
You guys have better fender bender stories than I do. Some day I'll post pictures of my destroyed GTI from my highway crash...sad day that was.
Okay finally got around to updating the OP, F.I.T.T. Rules and upcoming events posts.
Thanks to everyone for the input and sorry for taking so long to update stuff.
speed_zero had his PS3 die so his/CKRs shootout has been at least temporarily canceled. Hopefully either the other members of CKR can sponsor an event in the near future or speed_zero can replace/repair his PS3 and get back to us here.
CSLACR you said you had decided not to get the DLC cars, are you still planning to run a Touring Cars Vs. RM's@SPA shootout?
Last thing for now. We made it through the list of rules I had posted as examples, are there any other suggestions for additional rules? Also is everyone satisfied with the OP and its current layout or is there suggestions for improving it?
Just added link to your Roadster battle in current events.Have at it folks! The Fall Roadster Battle is up and underway!I hope everyone finds it to be entertaining.
Well, I have the DLC, couldn't resist after all.Okay finally got around to updating the OP, F.I.T.T. Rules and upcoming events posts.

You aren't alone in being unable to resist getting the complete pack so I'll be looking forward to your shootout.Well, I have the DLC, couldn't resist after all.
But, it's gotta be LMP's at Spa. If you like LMP's at all, Spa is just a fantastic track to drive them on.
I haven't worked out exact details yet, but I'm thinking of an offline shootout, just because they're so much easier to do, especially with expensive un-tradeable cars such as these.
And racing softs will be allowed for user-friendliness.
Got a date for your next shootout Desperado? I'm in no rush, just curious is all.
