Sounds great :) I don't think the Merc 190E makes it to 500PP?

And shotgun on the Jags. Though I'll need someone to send me a broken in XK Luxury and XKR if we're using all the cars in that set... :ouch:

I see, excellent. Count me in whenever that happens.

Wait, would it not be better to just ban all the OP cars at 500PP? Or was there a logic to your choice?

Just trying to do something a bit different.
- pick FR cars that seem to be similar in performance (weight, hp)
- eliminate the typical over performing cars
- have variety, not have four Corvette ZO6 '06 tunes

BMW M3 Coupe ’07
Holden Commodore SS ’04
Infinity G35 Coupe ’06
Mercedes C63 AMG ’08
Pontiac GTO 5.7 Coupe ‘04

hard to choose depending on the circuit a yields more than others:tup:

I know there are a lot of contenders which have been left out of that set list, so to maximise choice and variety, would banning a list of OP cars and making a rule that no two tuners can tune the same car be better?

I think letting at least two tuners the same car is fine (fight within a fight), but no more then that.

Also I really like the list MCH has made. Great, typical cars with a few nut jobs for me to tune 👍:dopey:

Back to the future baby!

Yeah, 2 max to one car seems good. :)

But there are more nutcase cars outside of that list! :P I agree though, that list is great.

I know I'm not a member of FITT, but if the tunes are properly laid out, I'd be able to test if needed.

You do not have to be a member of FITT to take part in events.

FITT is just a place for setting up shootouts, and general talk about tuning and the way we do things. All are welcome, and all can take part in what we do 👍:dopey:

There really aren't very many tuners still playing GT5. One tuner per set of cars will work. Would just like to see a shootout with no duplicates.

I would rather consider adding a few cars here and there if someone feels that a car within this range has been left out. Listing the "approved" cars allows for me to build one of each and check the stats in an effort to keep things close and fair. A wide field with a banned list is much more difficult to control.

How many tuners do you think we would actually have participating this late in GT5? I am thinking max of ten, if the word gets out.

I see Hami, fair enough.

Just a thing I noticed, the M3 '04 might be OP. Maybe put the 330i instead? Or have you checked all of the ones on the list already? :P

Depending on the time frame, I'd like to try a tune. I'm back off to China here in a couple of weeks though. I'd sign up to do a car that no one else has chosen so there aren't any duplicates.

:idea:and an idea
It would be easier to draw a car for each tuner you created a random room for cars up to 500 pp and called each participate in the raffle of cars up to 500 pp hugs

Good idea. Tuner choice done by random pick vs. first one to speak up. More like a fantasy league draft.

I also began building the cars in the list. I think 500PP is too low for most of the cars on the list. If I raise it to 550PP, there will be a few cars that cannot achieve that. Thinking 525PP might be the right number.

I have also added a number of cars to the list. I will rebuild them all to 525PP then post the list for additional comments.

Wait Hami, do you mean we pick, and if we don't, we get a random car assigned to us?

I think random pick would be better (even if I don't get to participate). I like tuning cars for the fun of it. I was requesting requests in my tuning thread, and only got a couple requests. One for a drag car and another for a TVR at 550PP, but it didn't want to go where I told it due to its light weight. I still shaved off about 4-5secs of Monza time compared to stock.

If you don't get enough people tuning I wouldn't mind taking a spot, and if you do I wouldn't mind doing an exhibition car where it was in the mix, but not actually in the official running

Random pick just means who picks first. You pick the car set that you want but we need to establish who picks first.

Toss all those who want to tune into a hat and draw the order. Post that and let the tuners pick in the thread. You shouldn't even need to monitor constantly.

I have been building the FR car list for my shootout. Nearly all cars that I have selected can easily reach 550PP. Only the Delorean can't do it. It tops out at 540PP. I kinda want that car in the competition so thinking about making this 525PP

SS should definitely be enough tire for that. Could drop to SM if you wanted to make it a little "interesting". :D

Honestly the Mustang sucks no matter what tires you put on it. Hoping the Shelby in GT6 is a good platform to build on, but PD seems to hate the live axle in these.

It sounds very good 👍... but isn't the Delorean a RR drive car?:sly::lol::dopey:

I don't have any really good objections, however I'll bring up that as we go up in HP and PP it becomes more difficult, however slight, to both tune and drive. I'm not necessarily expecting loads more people to join that haven't been here before and know what to expect, but I think we should at least keep it in the back of our minds. :)

Either way, I'm ready to go!
