Esoxhntr, I resent a FR to you if you can accept it again. You were on my list and then not. :odd: Yours is the last I am missing besides my own. Gonna go back and do some of the first drives again and see if I can get 550 in before the deadline.

Any updates from the remaining 550PP testers? Any deaths to report or such? Also, slacker, this is a stupid system for distributing results, I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms since this has cut me off from my usual supply of feedback.

I agree. Hide the times and the DC all you want, but the feedback should be posted IMO.

Well if you're gonna hide the feedback and DC, you may as well hide the times too, since aren't the results based on times and DC? I mean, we can tell already who's winning from the times... But if it was just feedback we wouldn't know. Right? :P

There's the danger of being lulled into a false sense of security. My car has placed reasonably well in terms of time, but that's only due to our alien fraternity. I've a feeling it's going to get savaged in the reviews, probably rightly so too. Whilst the emphasis is on the times, I expect that DC ratings will make and shatter dreams in equal measures :mischievous:

I just accepted 3, including yours. Thanks.

From a testing point of view, I think it might be a good thing to hide the feedback as it might inadvertently cause a "that's what I think too" effect.

I know that looking at the lap times, I've been inclined to try to beat what other testers have done, which is not what it's supposed to be about.

Maybe hiding both until the end might be a better way to do it. Who knows for sure though?

I do agree, it would have made much more sense to hide both or just lap times.

OP will be updated tonight.

I found myself checking out one of the other test drivers' times and noticed that I was always just a bit faster than him on the first few cars. I tested another and checked to find that I was a bit slower.

I had to stop myself from going back to try to beat that time, because it would have changed my list order, my testing procedure, spending too much time on one car, etc.

Thankfully I realized it before my competitive nature won out on that. ;)

I also stopped checking the other times out.

Edit: I still need access to ugabugaz car. I haven't gotten a response to my FR. If his car his shared by anyone else, please let me know. Thanks.

My lap times are here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=8120955#post8120955

Just as well this is finishing soon, check the maintenance notice thread, PD are apparently rolling the PP system back to how it was in 2.09 in the next update.

Unfortunately I do not believe I can provide results. I've been sick so I've been getting plenty of bedrest, and the results I had have been completely wiped somehow.

Some really fun rides in this bunch. 👍 Now let's see if I can finish 550pp in time :nervous:

Added - Been busy.

No problem. There's still time for me to run your car. :)

Edit:

-All done. I will write up the feedback and DC before I go to bed.

-Note: I have a RUF 3400S (Praiano tuned) that I drive quite a bit. I also had driven CyKo's Solstice prior to becoming a test driver, which may account for the placement on the lap times for those three cars. I have no idea.

I do know that had I signed up sooner, that I could have gotten much more out of all of these cars, but due to me signing up so late in the game, I could only spend so much time with each one.

I did enjoy doing this and found some cars that I like driving. A little request: Anyone who hasn't posted their tune(s) for this Shootout, could you please do so? I'd like to make my own copy of these cars for my garage. Thanks. :)

-Just for fun, I'm going to drive krenkme's TVR, but I'm far from a Ring-master.

Edit #2:

-I will be doing my feedback after I wake up tomorrow. I'm too exhausted to write things up properly tonight.

-Krenk, remind me to touch base with you about the TVR

So…that's 450PP pretty much done and dusted and that's all great, but the class I actually bothered to work on, 550PP, is still waayyyy off being complete…:grumpy:

:scared:... what hospital should I send the flowers to, and should I notify the next of kin? :dopey:

Thanks, and good luck :scared:

I am almost wrapped with 450PP, might not get 550 done. :( Just running out of time.

Not sure I'll be able to be on tomorrow night either, I plan to be driving down and hopefully getting a car, which will keep me wrapped up late enough itself.
If I can't get on the PC I'll post for everyone to post their feedback if they desire, so at least you don't have to wait any longer for that though. :)
I should be able to wrap-up Tuesday night though. 👍

Great field of 450PP cars by the way. :)

CSLACR if you are interested in extending the 550 pp deadline a day or two I think many of us are in the same boat testing-wise :)

450PP Testing Results

All cars tested for a minimum of 3 flying laps. In a couple of cases I needed another lap or two to ensure I had 2 good flying laps.

Ok, I'm done with 450, it seems a few tuners never sent their FR's, holding up a tester, so if there's no meltdown we can extend the deadline.
Probably the only way for me to test 550 would be making it Friday.

We could release the feedback as means of staving deprivation too.

Top six could really use a rerun. I'm pretty sure they're in the right order but the margin of error is higher than I like.
All cars driven 1-2 laps + some restarts of course, more restarts = less laps. (in this case 1)

Very nice times there CSLACR.👍👍

I have no problem with giving testers another week with the 550PP class, but can we pleeeaase get at least the 450PP feedback now?

Really interested in where I went wrong with the S15 since I thought it was quicker than the times have shown it to be.
If it's just the limits of the car that's one thing, but if I messed up on the tune then that's something for me to improve on next time.

I just sent in my feedback. It took me a little longer to get to than I expected today. It took me a little longer to write up than I thought it would also.

Next time, I will sign up and get started earlier to have more time to test.

I really felt like I was rushing through the test drives, which is probably why my lap times are slow and possibly inconsistent; meaning that I got used to some cars sooner than others.

I would like to say that, some of the cars were a pleasant surprise. Some that I didn't expect to like before I drove them, I found myself enjoying a lot. It exposed me to some cars that I might not have driven otherwise.
