I really don't think I'm a threat in this one, I've only built half a car so far and I don't think its going to be a competitive pair unless the newer version goes together easily and performs better than expected
No, the little Fiat needs SS, the Fiat's don't stand a chance currently. The newer one is competitive, but nothing to redeem the turd-like 500 F. :/
Did I guess it right?

No not the Fiats, the older one needs power to be competitive but it quickly becomes undriveable as a result, I can usually cope with oversteery cars but that thing snaps around so fast and so often that you just can't catch it. The new one is a good drive but its not going to close the gap

Yeah when the tires break free, it's RR and has a 3 foot wheelbase. :scared:
Even with a lucky lap it only breaks around 59, maybe a 58, and everything else gets at least 56's or lower for me.

Let's review shall we:

Cote d azur is similar to London, on steroids, @Lionheart2113 is back and painted orange, @DolHaus only needs to paint his purple and we are all chasing taillights. Throw in @Otaliema promising a TT tune and a motivated @Motor City Hami and this one is over............
Watch out for the sneaky wolf man tho (@brian wolf )
You`ve checked out my tunes! I`m just hoping for 1 good do or die lap from testers! :dopey: I think I`m in with a shout at having the fastest VW`s.......
As long as no one else enters them! :dunce:

PS Testing is underway 👍

I like your dedication. definitely looking forward to what you make of all the tunes that have been (and will be) submitted.
Cheers. 👍 I`m going to try and test them as they are submitted, so I don`t have a week to go and 36 tunes to test!

@Motor City Hami When you get a minute can you link tunes that are ok to test to the tuners post please

You have @xande1959 in the VW's as well. I think there is atleast 1 more tuner in them, but there have been changes. I'll be testing, just not officially, so I'll give them some thumb mashing around the track!:dopey:

I will link all posted tunes tonight.

As for car selection for me, I am still undecided. Very busy week so only had time to base tune and test drive a bit late at night when I was half asleep.

CRX - love it
CRZ - hate it

80's Civic - can make it work, reminds me of my first race car
'04 Civic - fast but has no personality

Old Mini - love it, but slow
New Mini - absolutely love it, one of my favorite cars in the game

Old VW - love it
New VW - competitive, but lifeless

Old Fiat - may just have to pick just to show that I can tame her. This one will at least end up in my garage. Added weight and added POWER!
New Fiat - have not driven it yet

Focus' - been there, done that, not even going to test them

So what am I going to tune. I need to pick a pair tonight and start fine tuning.

You better test mine last.....it might be the end of old sweaty!
Mine just might break it too ya know and if @Motor City Hami enters the 500F it's surly done for

:D:tup:

I had to take a break, so I could not get burned out. Gotta lotta cars to drive on here pretty soon, so... I've also really come around on the wheel. Took a few days, but wowsa.
It only gets better with time on the wheel. Do a brake mod on it sooner then later it makes a huge difference on the feel of the brakes. Much eaiser to control the car with more real resistance on the pedal.

I'm still baffled by the concept of your exit oversteering Mini, the physics just don't make sense in a gran turismo universe

The only way I can think of doing it involves massive rear toe out and locked springs or soft springs that bottom out and bounce the rear loose

I've had a VW Jetta(92) and a Chevy Cavalier(04) both exhibit exit oversteer in the right circumstances, in real life. It is strange indeed, but absolutely possible.

The car is basically undrivable with it happening so it's been more or less tuned out.
To achieve it do the following
Max/Min Ride hight
Min/Max springs, dampers, ARB.
Camber 0.0/1.0
Toe -0.35/-0.70
Ballast 200@50
Weight three windows hood
This will snap the tail around on just about every turn you can hold it most if the time in the sweepers and hair pins but 90 degree turns forget it. So basically the lower half of the track.

Yeah I've seen and experienced it in real life, mostly with 80's/90's Peugeots where you can get them loose by either clutch kicking or suddenly releasing the throttle mid corner, you also see it fairly often in the Touring Cars when the rear tyres have gone cold and they put it over the curbs and it'll just snap round.

In GT you don't really get lift off oversteer as the weight transfer isn't aggressive enough to dislodge the tyres, this said I do remember some Japanese guys over in the drifting forum sliding FF cars around quite convincingly so I'd be intrigued to find out how it works

I just found a video that said pretty much the same thing 👍

(Guess who's going to build a FF drift car )

Try that CRX and loosen rear springs 0.01 or 0.02, and you have fun.
