These are some pics from the AWESOME B17 Flying Fortress flying the outskirts of Mexico City.
Nice, Mexico City is quite hot and high, I did a flight there once (icao MMMX) in the MD-11 and I couldn't derate the thrust much, I guess the bomber would be very suited to those conditions. I intend to do some more simming in Mexico and South America, haven't done enough high alt stuff.
This is my new set up, it barely fits my desk. The DFP is mounted up there because I use the pedals as rudder.
I always wanted to run multiple monitors but flight sim has so many 'toys' available I don't know where to send my money first. Good idea with the pedals for rudder, I should get my DFP out and do the same. I did once use it as a elevator trim wheel once.
What other controller hardware do you have there? I was thinking about getting a Saitek yoke and throttle box but the rudder set to go with it is way to expensive, I guess I could use my DFP pedals like you.
Earlier today I flew from Christchurch, NZ to Melb Intl, Aus.
Here are some pics.
Graphics not great quality as my computer isn't fabulous and I didn't have time to fiddle about with the settings to get optimal frame rate/picture quality.
Left NZ soil at 6am, arrived in Aus maybe 3.5 hours later. Autopilot used for the boring bits of course
Nice flight, I have done Wellington to Melbourne once it's a good length where it isn't over just after cruise but doesn't drag on all day.
It's a good thing you did the flight in winter (winter in the south) otherwise Australia would look all brown and ugly, I often change to season winter when I fly (in summer) just so I dont have to look at it.
Anyway last night I started a flight from Zurich - Vienna in the Jetstream 41, I had some Flight management system (FMS) issues and was running a little to late into the night so I rushed it a bit
These pictures are with default scenery but with REX 2 clouds and runway/taxiway textures.
Nice clear weather on taxi and departure

As I got closer to the foot of the Alps it started picking up

Checking my Active Sky weather radar there is some trouble ahead, but due to my tight time limit (need to get up early in the morning) and I was already running behind I didn't bother trying to avoid it or divert. Hoping to cut through the middle anyway.

Coming out the end of it, got through it without too much problems, just a bumpy ride and a few icing warnings which I rectified.

And a safe arrival. The runway PAPI lights (lollie pop lights) are indicating I am a little high yet my glideslope shows I am dead on.

At this point I parked and went to bed ASAP.
