Top split definitely isn’t the place for me. I’ll give it a go in the bottom split next week. If I’m still way off pace I’ll have to hang it up until I get a wheel or figure out what’s going on.

No worries, that's what the pre-season is about, to figure this stuff out.

Thanks to everyone that participated today. Those that won races will pick up a point to start the season. I have some things to do but will post the results this evening. We'll also sort through everyone and bump people to one room or the other. Definitely some good, close racing out there!

Some of you are seriously quick in this car, made me feel like I was down on power . Definitely going to check my pedals though to make sure I'm actually getting full throttle because even in the draft I wasn't getting much benefit. I'm also using the gated shifter so probably hurting me a bit but I like the immersion. :)

It's definitely more fun with the shifter but you can lose time getting it wrong. My upshift paddle has been fidgety lately so it doesn't always register unless I hit it really hard. I had a few missed shifts that made a difference and it sucks, but that's my version of messing up on the gated shifter lol

Thankfully since it's a sequential manual I don't have to use the clutch, and the shifter itself registers pretty well 99% of the time. Sometimes I'll accidentally put it in the wrong gear though.

Oh I didn't know you could shift this car without the clutch. That's definitely much faster. Where can you find that out if it's sequential manual or not?

That was an absolute blast, thanks for the great racing today fellas!

Due to connectionsproblems I couldnt join. Good to see that it was fun!

Can you guys please share some laptimes? Wondering where I stand

Low 48’s mostly, but I saw at least one high 47. I saved all 3 replays, I’ll share them later for you if you’d like. :)

Yes please! I think it's pretty safe to say that I don't belong in Room I then :D my best is a 49.5.....

That’s good enough to be competitive, I could only run about that without the draft. Other than the aliens at the front the rest of us could only get into the 48s when we could slipstream someone, and the top 8 were able to stay fairly close to each other.

Replays are now shared, they’re tagged GTP, FMSC and Miata. The draft is super strong, in practice today my best was 49.3 alone, but in race with draft my best was a 48.4, so the draft was worth almost a full second. :)

Just a quick note to everyone. If there is contact made between you and someone else and they spin off the track or something, it is OK to slow and let them by if that is what you feel is the best coarse of action. But please be mindful of other people around you while doing so. We had a minor incident today with a couple cars and while they were trying to sort things out amongst themselves another car was forced off the track in the process because the track was blocked.

Thanks! :)
