Hm, I though sohnstig had 1:18.954
Oh, and pretty sure kazzie77 is a) not registered, just some random dude to pop into the room b) had an illegal car (not because of being 91, but at least because he had a carbon hood, and probably a customizable suspension)

I was just told it was illegal because it was a '91, nobody ever told me he had illegal mods. I'll fix and re-post, give me a few minutes.

Edit: Stig's time is correct.

Yeah wow, like RT said earlier, Stig's only been knocked out by 3 thousandths of a second. Amazing grid guys 👍

Also, don't keep bumping the quali. sheet. it's on the first page.

Yeah you can definitely change views. You can get pretty creative with the views too... I'll have to give him some good highlights then.

What we'll do is make notes on what events (like spin outs, passes, three wide, chases etc.) happen on what laps on a checklist and I can go around recording them with different views and perspectives so he can mix it up how ever he wants.

But yeah it should definitely be a highlight style quick "trailer" type.
Make notes? LOL.... I dont know how long the race is (hoping for at least 25+ laps) there is gonna be sooo much footage with these slow cars. I forsee LOTS of 3 wide and passing. Have fun putting that together. I would love to see a vid of it.

Edit: Duh...its says 25 laps on first page

Yeah man, it would be cool to have as many notes as possible for me to go around recording. And anyone can help out by giving their own highlight notes they had during their race.

I would love to race with you guys. 89', passion pink. wheels-Green
You're gonna need to pick a different color again; I'm running Pink this season as well. :)

...some AMAZING racing when we were all bein serious
And some really crappy racing when people WANT to be serious but others keep driving the wrong way. 👎

I'll give you a few songs I've been kicking around in my head for something just like this too. For inspiration 👍
Oh god please don't, I hate that about your videos. I like to hear engines, music and racing should stay segregated.

I knew I would be dropped once the fast guys finally qualified. And why is there a 4th lap if you only count 2 qualifying laps? I hate that there is another lap because the tires are actually much better on that lap and I'd have really liked for that 18.288 I ran to have counted; I'd have qualified 3rd by .001 second.

Also; I'm not running the '89. Please change my car on the registration to a Pink '04.

Easy solution. Don't watch.

And you know it's a trailer style highlight reel, why would you talk about the music in my full race videos? Some people really like the music, others don't. It's music.

If you want a silent trailer, make one.

Graham, it says you are Green on green. I've already changed once, there isnt any other colors....shouldnt matter til next race, ur in room 2

I'm really good a syncing video with music so I'm sure this video will pump up many of you, I promise that.

Right after I qualified I started practicing again and was immediately into the 1:19s. :( But, I don't feel so bad since I would have ended up in group B anyway. I'll see you guys tonight. :)

Sorry man but there are hundreds of colors on this game.

I have over 700 paint chips. There ARE other colors.

@ Graham, no idea on the 4th lap, ask Wardez. I just copied his format.

Also, if anyone needs changes made to their registration, please PM me so I know about it. Sometimes they can get lost in the thread with as many posts that are made. I would also recommend people keep their changes to a minimum.

I forsee LOTS of 3 wide and passing.

Maybe in the last few laps but my strategy is and will always be to work with those around me to either get to the front or build a gap between us and the trailing group. So for the new guys, that means bump drafting, more bump drafting, and even more bump drafting.

I suppose it's 4 to
a) give other people qualifying time to finish their flying lap
b) make the period when lap 3 time is easily accessible a bit longer.

Easy solution. Don't watch.
Whoa, take it down a notch man. I'm not discriminating your taste in music, I'm just saying I prefer the howl of tires and the roar of engines. Also, next time you make a 'highlight' reel... try not to highlight both of my spinouts.

It does say that, but it's incorrect. And what happens next race, you're going to put up an argument again? I'm just asking kindly. I switched from green because there are too many shades of green; I ran pink last season so I decided to stick with it. There are very few people using reds/blues/yellows.

@ Graham, no idea on the 4th lap, ask Wardez. I just copied his format.

4th lap is there for two good reasons.

1. If it was set to three laps, the spectator would only have about five seconds to write down the lap time before it's covered by the race results screen. With a fourth lap you have lots of time to write down the last sector time and third lap time easily.

2. It makes it possible to have up to four drivers qualify at the same time with plenty of room and plenty of time for every driver to finish their third lap before the leader finishes the four lap "race" even if someone spins out and loses a whole lap. If it were set to three laps, the lead driver would finish the race and the countdown timer would start forcing the following driver to try and finish before the pre-set race finish gap time. Doing it the 4 lap way makes it so you can take as long as you want and can even ask the lead driver to slow down to accommodat any mis-goings.

That's why your fourth laps don't count and you should thus recognize them as cool down laps, not vengeful ones.

I mentioned last night and I don't know if anybody would like the idea or not, but I thought what if we were to take the AVERAGE time of the 3 laps?

Edit: Talon, Jett didn't qualify because he's not racing.

Jett! What happened to you, you're not even on the Room #2 list?

He said he was going to Thunderhill today so he couldn't make it. Wish I could go!

I like the average idea also. 👍

Well since we only run two hot laps for qualifying that would never work.

And I think the format is perfect as it is, no tinkering required.

And I think the format is perfect as it is, no tinkering required. The way I approach quali is to run a clean, risk free first hot lap just to set a time that will get me in the field, and then I try to improve on that time on my second hot lap. Too many people go balls to the wall on their first lap and spin or muff it all up and then they are under a ton of pressure on their second lap just to make the field.

I'll third that 👍

 That was me! lol. I basically had 1 lap to set a time which certainly wasn't my intention!! Pressure was on, but I was fortunate enough to find a pretty good lap.

Going be a great race out there tonight for sure. Congratulations to the top 16 on a great qualifying effort and to SLC for pole. 👍

It's a good, fair system, but it took forever on Friday night. If the game had better recording of all laps that all drivers ran, they could do this SCCA style and run 20 min qualifying sessions. Drafting is part of it, so work with someone.

That's my point. Count the 3rd lap and average them all out. It would help those that blow a turn on one lap and have an incredible lap moments later. It would help alleviate the crazy amount of pressure people are already under having only 2 chances to run a time under dozens of scrutinizing eyes.

I was disappointed until I realized there's a Room B. Barely made it but made it lol. Just confirming the Room B race takes place at the same time as the A race? The B image is broken in the OP, also.
