i think as of right now i have to bow out of the super cup series! I just dont have to do this with my son being with me on the weekends. He wanted me to pick him up on sunday during the race and i had to almost push him away. I cant do this! So before the race even starts i need to bow out of it. Maybe if we get some races going on week nights I can do them, but for right now I cant. But i am more then willing to race with you guys in practices races and stuff during the week.

Good father. 👍

Maybe a practice race but not an official one. Also the slower class will not be able to finish the race in time

What slower cars? The GT race will be run after the 389PP Super Cup race.

Yey, 3 races in 1 weekend... Im turing into a racing junkie.

And spank, once June comes around, I will start making my own racing leagues that will take place probably weekend mornings or mid-week evenings.

Racing Series I will be creating after May:
BMW Z4 Spec Racing
Dodge Challenger '70 RM vs Chevy Camaro '69 RM Racing series
AWD Racing series (still looking for a proper AWD racing car)
German Auto Racing (Benz, BMW, and Audi)
and more...

As of right now I am doing research and testing all the cars I want to use so that when June comes, I will be ready to open up all the racing events. (Not at the same time of course) I will be starting with the BMW Z4 Spec Cup because that car is ready with the right mods and and it only has a little bit more HP then the GT Class RT just made so it should be an easy transition. Just trying out tracks to see which are the most fun with this car.

I hope that when the time comes, everyone in this series will be active in mine. I would like to see all the greats in it like RT, Wardez, Egghead, Brosif, RedReevos, and many more (too many to name, just putting names out there). I will keep it as organized as possible and ensure everyone has a great time throughout the series. I hope that everyone here will sign up for my Spec series' as well as attend as many of the races as they can.

I was answering the question of having 8 cars from both classes in one race.

I would do the AWD if it was like the RM Evo and the RM Sti that would be fun.

Is that your final answer. :P

Lol I'm spending 40 mil for an effin paint job YES ITS MY FINAL ANSWER :D
However since I now own 5 cars that are to spec and intend to buy another for this particular paint scheme I can't guarantee what I'll be running in practice ;)

Tiny print you should not be reading me. Ignore me. I'm colorblind so I may show up in the wrong colors by "accident." Tiny print is all a lie. Well mostly.....

That's how it works in real split-class races, though. The slower classes end up running fewer laps than the faster classes.

Nice wheels, BTW. 👍

I actually was looking into doing that, but havn't had the time to try both of them out on a number of tracks. I have both cars RM'd so it could be a possibility.

Yea that would be pretty bad 🤬. But make sure no small tracks such as ARM or something. But Trail Mountain or Deep Forest and GVE would be fun with them.

I think for now we might just limit the GT class to the first 16 sign-ups, then run a regular qualifying session before the race to help with time.
I'm pretty sure I signed up yesterday...

Now that I could really get into. 👍 Dibs on PANK!
So put me on the list! :dopey:

IF we run a series with the car, it will be a stand-alone NC series.
So much for that, huh?

Sucks to hear that man, but family comes first for sure. Does this mean that I get the spot in the next race?

We were still deciding to run it yesterday, it wasn't official. Now it is...

And it IS a standalone series, as it's separate from the Spec Class and not mixed like I had suggested yesterday.

Gosh Mr Negativity. :dopey:

...and I need a wheel color.

Bah, I love the idea og the GT cup but I can't make the race time. It's alright though since I already have a lot on my plate.

I think I'm just going to stick with the spec series. I'll join the practice room a little later or host one if it goes down, I'm still waiting for the bag of crap on woot.

4 spots left in GT. :)

Edit: Also thinking about writing an article on the FM Super Cup series for the user contributed GTP GT5 magazine HERE. I'm waiting confirmation of publishing wait times before I decide to do so.

2 spots left now!!!! I'm assuming we'll have a reserve list just in case right?

The more publicity the better IMO. BTW for next season, if the series keeps growing, perhaps you should consider adding some race stewards so that the B race can be official? I'll draft up some thoughts for it later today as far as how the points could be handled (separate obviously)

Count me in 👍

GT Series sign up:

Egghead43 - (GTP_Egghead) - NC '07 - tbd/tbd

LOL!!! I think this thread is getting out of hand. I think I might go out and buy some NOS now.

NOS works wonders on road trips:

Kept that R32 GTR behind me too! 👍

I suggested a "feeder" series early on. You'd make a separate thread and series called something to the effect of "Flyin' Miata Cup " or "FMSC 2" if RT's cool with it.

People who feel like they couldn't compete in FMSC would need to opt out of contention for FMSC to race in the seperate series, not qualify out for it.

Yeah and then the stewards could assess performance and see if anyone needed to be relegated down from the main series or vice versa. We could still maintain an A and a B room for the main cup and with stewards we could actually keep up with the points for both races. Perhaps limit the number of FMSC participants to 50 or so? This is, of course, assuming that the series continues to grow at the current rate.
