That will work great for me, I'll be a little late to the session but I can take it over most likely when you depart.

I'm practicing right now if anyone wants to join.

Let me know and I'll send you an invite.

Well we were able to hit 1:48.5xx. But it seems there's about a second more, probably a little more, to be found.

Got a quickie up for anyone who wants it, carbon fiber bumpers, hankook motif with all the FMSC number plates, etc. Sorry for the cell pic, FM.net seems to be down.

Oh wow awesome. So you're putting that up as a design for someone to nab? Really great stuff man 👍

I'm working on some myself tonight.

Because there's SO much interest I'm gonna sit down and talk (or send every one a bunch of XBL messages xD) about whether we should split the sign ups into two groups, have a qualifier test in order to rank the fastest drivers into a group A and others fall in to a group B/Division 2 race group.

There's 28 people signed up so far and I'm expecting a couple more. So two rooms would do us well.

The other question is, do we run them at the same time or on a different day? I'm kind of more comfortable with the former option because every one who's signed up has signed up knowing that the posted series time (6pm Pacific) suits them.

These would be two seperate championships if we were to go this route. Two separate points tables.

However, there might be a benifit in making the group B/Division 2 race on a different day. Possibly Sunday. It could suit more people.

So let me hear you all out. Please discuss what you'd think would be best.

I agree about having two groups, having 28 people on these short tracks we race on will just be a mess.

Regarding times, I think you hit the nail on the head:

"every one who's signed up has signed up knowing that the posted series time (6pm Pacific) suits them. "

Just my $.02 :)

Well yeah, it would have to be two groups because the max grid size is 16. Something like 15 in each group would do nicely.

I just can't decide whether the two races should be held on the same day or not.

New livery, just for fun I won't be campaigning it - retro apple computer theme!!

Sounds good Pace. Hmm, here's what I can do (in order to save us as much from a headache as possible)

I'm gonna try to slowly attempt my initial idea for qualifying. But I'll be setting it up for every one for this first week. I'll allow people to qualify in 15 minute sessions. Is there a way to pull the results of the race (fastest laps) without actually having been on track? If not, I'll just join the game and park somewhere out of the way for people to qualify.

For now the format that will be the same for every one is that up to six drivers will get on track and have 15 minutes to put in their fastest clean lap. dirty laps will be reviewed (always save replays) and a standard 3 second penalty will be added.

Starting tomorrow, I'll allow people to request to qualify and I'll then set up an official session for them to set their time. The important thing is: you can only attempt to qualify once. No re-dos.

Let me know if any of you have concerns, thanks.

Yikes..the best I can get so far is 1:54.

I'm going to work on it some more tonight, I think it might be my shifting.

DFV2 - that apple livery is rad!

Hey guys sorry but I'm not gonna be able to host the practice races today, but if anyone would like to volunteer and set up a room for some quick practice runs then by all means do so.

Use this list:

To find people to invite to the session, or simply post the room title here if it's going to be public. Thanks.

Also guys, if anyone has any trouble getting their number plate put together (not every one's a painter) then just let me know by PM'ing me on here or over XBL and I'll gift you everything you need ready to go.

And! I was just contacted about including an official sponsored prize car as an award to the winners of this series. Stay tuned!

What kind of times are you guys running at Hockenheim? My best so far is around a 1:47.2xx. Let me know if anybody wants to practice for tomorrows race. GT: Xi CP iX

Yeah ,that's about what I'm hitting, some people are hitting '46 and even faster.

Should be quite the competitive field come Friday.

People listen up!

PLEASE read and RE-READ the new op!

Let me know if there's anything out of shape or incorrect on it as well.

Thanks!

Can't remember what I was running here in practice but now that I know I need to be in the low 47s I'll get some practice in tonight. Anyone else up for some seat time?

Also, wardez can you shoot me the series vinyls as a gift please? Still haven't put them on the car yet..

Just a friendly reminder:
Make sure to practice your laps and get used to running Hock. Nat. without the driving line because it will]/b] be off for the race.

I'm practicing right now with a couple guys if you'd like to join us.

Yeah I really hate that, you can't even spectate.

But it's all good, I'll just have to make each session for practice a bit shorter, maybe 5 minutes, so it's not too much wait time for others.

Captured my fastest lap of the day in HD. With telemtry. Hope it helps some people find time:

Qualifying's running all day tomorrow. That's going to be different than what we would usually do because I want this first race to be a 'feeler" for participation.

I'm currently the only person allowed to host qualifying sessions, and I must be on track for every single one in order to save the replays as well so you'll all need to get to me in order to set a time. Preferably through XBL messaging, although you can feel free to post a general question here as well.

The way it'll work is that any number of people can qualify at any time by just messaging me, or joining the room I have set-up for practice. So it'll be practice, practice, " hey guys, someone wants to qualify, so every one leave the practice session so they can start" I'll set the room up for a 15:00 minute session and then ask if anyone else wants to do the qualifying session at the same time. I'll allow up to 6 people at a time, separated by at least ten second to be in one session at a time.

I'll simply write down the time, save the replay, and then add it to the qualfying spreadsheet. This qualifying "session" will be repeated through out the day, leading all the way up to 15 minutes before the race, when we'll have final qualifying times and order. I'll then instruct every one on how we're going to split the participants, if there's more than 16 (creating a B Room).

So yeah, it's one part improv. one part getting every one used to the system.
