tell me I'm not the only one...

I was way to aggressive in that race. Only caused one accident, and that's because I locked my brakes.

Me Ten and Two had an amazing race with each other. For about 12 laps we were battling it out. However I did finally catch up to ACR, and then the other guy (Can't remember your GT off the top of my head, sorry) and just barely lost to him. .01 seconds to be exact! Hope I have a better race next time! Maybe I can actually tune my car without having the burden of homework on my head!

EDIT: Just looked at the track list to find that Infineon's next!!!! My favorite track in the game. It's scary with other people, if someone doesn't know the track, everyone pays. I can run pretty good times on this track so I'm pretty confident. However, I need to make my car less twitchy, otherwise bad things will happen.

I had a ton of fun, me and wardez were battling a bit in the first few laps, then it looked like he lost steering for a moment, from there on I was just lapping alone lol.

nice shots! highlights up a little glitch maybe - depending on who's replay you watch a lot of us are missing our liverys. I just downloaded a replay of our race and different people were missing theirs compared to above.

Yeah great shots JJ! But as plaske said, I didn't see your livery! But it looks awesome. I wonder what caused some people's liveries to be gone.

Cheers, anyway, long post from me coming later today on some rule changes and a need for discussing what we all want to do with qualifying.

Yup, that was me, I couldn't get past the AI controlled car of Fantomas after he finished a lap ahead, so my run out on to the final straight was awful....that finish was sooooo close.....

Me and ACR I think it was were battling for like ten laps near the end there. That was good racing!

So glad you guys had fun, except for the mic raging in my ears, I had a blast too, great racing.

I was lucky to have Turtle Beaches that race. I just had to turn down the Chat volume. It was screwing my race up when I had to listen to it though, I wonder why it happened.

I need to setup a tune this time. Homework got in the way of last race's tuning time. I probably could have done a little better with a proper setup. Good thing next weeks race is Infineon, I've practiced on this track loads of times.

Pacerace100
While I was taking these pics I zoomed out to see the 16 car grid and realized how many 16 cars really is. It may not be too many, but it was odd seeing it on Forza. Anyway, I had an awesome time in the race, and am looking forward to next week.

Lined up and starting to roll.

And for the easier starting grid, we could all run a qualifying session together, with compare best lap times on, so it orders us based on lap times, with collisions off. Then for the actual race set the starting grid as previous race finishing order or whatever wording it uses for that. This won't really work unless we have 16 or less though, as doing this with 2 rooms would be complicated. Does drafting occur when collisions are off? If so we could run the qualifying so only one car is on the track at a time, and just set it for 3 or 4 laps, 1 warm up, 1 or 2 times runs, and then we all finish the 3rd or 4th together.

Yeah pacerace, that's what I intending to try. Awesome pictures btw.

There should be a way to set the grid based on whatever fastest lap you did in the lobby and have the room rank every one based on lobby points. As long as no one leaves the lobby it should record and keep our fastest times.

The only problem is that we have more than 16 people signed up so I'm trying to figure out which way we're gonna sort that. The only thing I can think of right now is to have qualifying on Wedensday and Thursday in a few sessions, add every one's times to the qualifying sheet then by the deadline on Thursday night we'll have our ranking order.

If it's, 25 drivers for example, then we'll have 16 drivers in the first room and the second room will have 9.

Sound ok guys?

Race was fun, pictures looks good. This is Infineon's onboard lap and my tune/setup. Hope this help. Thank you.

Heres some photos I took from the race. I think I was the only one without a mic because my roomate broke it last week, but Ill have one by the next race more than likely. I wont lie though, I kinda like the rolling start. It gives a little more authenticity to the race. The hard part is making it fair but personally I think its fun. The last race at hockenheim was fun. I got a great start but got bumped off track at the end of the second straight. Its all good though haha, I had a early braking point for that corner so its understandable. Im looking forward to infineon. I watch the spec miata onboard laps all the time for infineon. Heres a really good link to some tight racing.

edit: watching your video Fantomaso makes me realize how much I need a wheel. Its so hard through the esses to keep the car straight with a controller. Im losing tons of time on the corner on the downside of the hill. That one also is hard with a controller to get right

Amazing! Thanks for moving the stuff over here guys and welcome to FP!

Thanks so much for posting your tune and the video Tomas, it'll go far in helping people get faster.

I'm off to work, but will keep an eye on the thread and post some info. during my breaks.

Also, I'm posting our points standings and a race edit of our race I'm making in HD tomorrow!

Cheers!

You are CRAZY smooth through every turn. Compared to your run, I am anywhere between 3-5mph slower through every corner. I even tried your tune specs and my car seems to behave so loosly compared to your video. And the best part is, you did that with COLD tires?!

There's a reason he won the first race!

ACR FLITZ checking in!

I had a lot of fun and I am still not sure how I came in 4th don't think I passed Wardez and JJ, but maybe it was due to you being in the pits. Had some great battle with JJ (he was slightly faster) and one other driver I can't remember. I got to run in clean air for sometime and could keep it consitent lap times in the low 1:47.x

Time to practise for the next race. This should be interesting..........

For the qualification and lobby points:
- Make sure no one has run any race in the lobby before you start (if race has been done just abck out to the party lobby and then back in to the race lobby)
- Set qualification to best lap time and all your other setting with roll of and collision always off.
- Run the qualification
- Set up next race and set grid order to lobby points (lobby points never show but it is there). change everything back to race settings.
- Correct grid order sjphould be set according to Best qaulification time.

All this will only work in one room, so if there are more then 16 it is not so easy to set up. But maybe a few from the top (1,2 and 3) from the previous race is gaurateed a slot in the qualification/race and the rest have to make a pre-qualification earlier in the week to show their right to be in the top 16. Just a thought!

Hey Flitz nice to see on b'ard mateskey.

So guys, I'm allowing race differential and both front and rear anti-roll bars.

Just think of the first race being so successful that we now have enough money in our little imaginary spec bank to give every one meaty new part-age.

Let me know if any of you have any concerns.

Cheers

ACR Puertorro here!!!! Just want to let ya'll know that last race was fun. Not knowing the track didn't help much,:lol:but overall it was great. Gracias for putting this thing together Wardez

Captured my fastest lap of the day in HD. With telemtry. Hope it helps some people find time:

Nice lap man! Sound quality is so much better than GT5, you are making me wanna buy an Xbox and a CSR Elite!
