Forcednduckshn's Lounge - Clean Spec Racing

Yep, Sebring. It's a great track, but brutally hot during the summer. It's funny, I see pics of you driving the Glen and my thoughts are...damn, the Glen! I would love to drive the Glen. I guess that's how it always goes.

My favorite tracks are Road Atlanta and VIR, they are absolutely amazing and I'm sure are very similar to Watkins Glen.

Sweet cars by the way Blindside!

I've had way too many cars, but here's the one I really regret selling:

Road Atlanta and VIR are on my list of tracks I NEED to drive. I just want to drive in Florida in the winter time ;)

Seriously though, you don't want to take your Miata to the Glen. Every single turn is super high speed with a ton of camber. All the miatas are basically turn-in, floor it, done. It's wicked boring. That 964 was a blast though...drag is minimal so I was doing in the 140 neighborhood before braking for the bus stop - what a crazy rush. However, most scary was WOT through the esses, and exiting the turn at 125+ while tracking out to the grass. I cannot believe that those nascar guys go 2 wide through the whole thing...

Really nice E36 M3's, blindside and SpecMiata (I especially like specs color combo) 👍 I'm thinking about picking one up (or possibly a E46 or S2k) as my next track car in fact :)

Since we're posting up our e36's, here's mine, she's a virgin, hopefully pop the cherry this summer once I replace the RTABS and put on a new head gasket for insurance.

When I first brought her home.

Those BBS are sweet. Lot's of people have E36's! I dont have mine anymore, but here it is. Like turbo, I regret selling...I miss this car.

You guys are making me a little jealous. Here's my daily driver:

And here's what I was driving last night:

Likely the two slowest vehicles posted so far, but also the two with the most torque :sly:

Can't see pics while at work! <sigh>

Hope to be on tonight running with ya'll, and will host a spec lobby if one isn't open already 👍

Cheers,

Nick

^^^ Name changer! :P

I'll try to remember to make it, although I don't have enough credits to purchase all these cars everyone speaks of. Maybe I'll just watch.

I'll be on tonight for sure. I had to lay off some people today so I'll be driving some stress away. I'll be armed with lots of stock Nissans and beer.

:)

I'll try and hop on @ around 9 PM EST tonight. I'm gonna to pull my DFGT out of the closet tonight so I can prepare for Orlando :) Maybe I'll invite my neigbhors over and tell them to do their best to distract me while drving also  jk

I hope they'll be distracting you like this...

...and not like this:

I should hopefully be back in Indiana and able to get on and practice with you guys tomorrow night and then hopefully the next few days. Been busy with real life aswell as dealing with all the forms and requirements Rachel sent over recently. Lol after reading the medical form and requirements I hauled ass over to "foreyes" and got myself some glasses for the 1st time in my life. Damn 20/20 vision requirements, got 20/20 in one eye, lol but the other one might as well be blind.

Can't wait to get to Orlando and meet everyone.

Fortunately I just had my tetanus shot done about a year ago. Hopefully you guys aren't too sore (in the area where it was injected) in the following days after receiving the shot. I felt like I got punched in the shoulder pretty damn hard (felt extremely sore and tender) for nearly a week after I had gotten the shot  It was weird because the one I had gotten 10 years before had nowhere near the side effects of the one I had recently gotten (don't know why :ill:)

Edit: I'm just going to set my DFGT up right now...should be online in the next 15 minutes or so 👍

I'll be on later (11ish), and can probably stay until about 1am EDT.

As a ninja, I'm already in superb physical health with all necessary vaccinations. Kidding aside, you could probably just "say" you had your tetanus shot more recently... As long as you don't go roll around in a sandbox full of rusty nails in Orlando, you probably aren't going to need it.

Pretty sure they need physical proof. I'll have to read over the paperwork again...

Edit: The paperwork says they "Recommend" you get one, so I would ask someone in the know to make sure.

Well guys, it's been awesome training with you these past couple of weeks! I've done my final laps in preparation for Florida and am now spending my last hours in town studying, taking finals, and sleeping(hopefully) before flying out to Florida early Thursday morning for the 12 hours of Sebring. It's been a pleasure racing with everybody and I know I'm infinitely more prepared for the National Finals after training with you guys than I would have been without the experience. It's pretty cool to see a crew of competitors get together and help each other out like this, especially with an opportunity so great on the line. It says a lot about the quality of members belonging to this forum and I think we can all be proud of what this thread has accomplished; I know that GTPlanet will be represented well in the top 16 as a result from us polishing our skills together. Thanks for the racing guys, it's been excellent.

Best regards,

Sean

While I'm not in the GT Academy (Canadian, and not fast enough anyways) it's been great fun to mix it up with you guys over the last few weeks 👍
The Daytona race we had last night with blindside was one of the best clean close racing experiences I've had in this game; going 3 wide into the bus stop and everyone getting through clean?!

You're definitely right that not only are these the fastest racers in the US, but the nicest bunch of guys too. There's a pretty serious prize at stake here, but you'd never know it by the way everyone's getting along, helping each other out, and joking around!

Best of luck to you in the finals :gtpflag:
