Are all those stupid looking winglets that were plastered on the cars now banned? Because without them the cars look so much better. And the Halo now looks like it belongs in the design, and not like a horrendous afterthought.

Yeah the complex bargeboards are banned and the wings are also a lot more simpler to minimize the dirty air they leave behind and accommodate closer racing.

There's too much yellow on the Red Bull nose. It makes it look more like an anteater than these cars already do.

There are a few slightly different showcars, this is the one that the "RB18" essentially is.
Something something FIA doing Red Bull's work for them something something.

Unfortunately all that "good" work was undone by putting a stupid thing over the front wheels and some ghastly front wing endplates

Aston Martin will be showing their actual race car.

And Williams have teased a new livery.

Wow, here we go. Our first proper look at an actual 2022 race car. Very interesting nose and general front end design. Livery looks very good, more along what I was hoping for last year. Some interesting detail on the sid pods as well.

We actually have pretty machines again. Now all we need is at least 17 wet/damp races and 2022 will be a great season.

I'm very curious about those bulges on the engine cover (where the crypto sponsor is located). Almost looks like conformal fuel tanks on a fighter jet.

I wonder if the other Mercedes-powered cars will have a similar feature.

Same sort of bulge they had last year, probably to do with how they package the engine tightly.

The Aston looks stunning. Hope the green is lighter this year as it was too dark on track before.
They did say they were going to make changes as it didn't 'stand out' from other cars last season, especially the Mercedes.

A good looking car I think, looking forward to mclaren's as that has been my favourite livery the last couple of seasons.
Imagine if mclaren adopted the same livery as they had in Monaco for this year!!

Notice the front view - first pic.
The left front suspension sports a pushrod, but there is nothing like it on the right front suspension. is it a dummy part? Will they go to a full pull rod setup?

I like the tiny inlets to the side pods and full rack of louvers on top. Cooling problems ahead?

Apparently the suspension is symmetrical on the actual video footage. May have just been a rendering issue on those pics.

The Aston looks great, pretty much what I hoped these new cars would be like. On first glance wasn't keen on the squared off nose but quite like it now and it's a really nice livery.

As a McLaren fan (and after watching IndyCar for the 1st time last season), I'm looking forward to the mega launch tomorrow night.
