Shame for Stroll, he was having a great race.

But he moves too late. Of course all the drivers weave in the middle of the straight with other cars too close, so it's inevitable we'd see this but it doesn't stop that being stupid from Lance.

That said, Alonso moved out so late that Lance was allowed to make a move to either side because he started to move as Fernando did.

I'm surprised this isn't a red flag. The FIA have shown in the past few years that they give one for the slightest of things. Waaaay to much debris on the track that could gives punctures.

That's a really poor bit of driving from Stroll.

Also, how on earth is Alonso still going, crash, flew, landed, hit the wall, not even last. Madness.

Two JCBs on track and no Red Flag?
I thought the drivers didn't want to ever see them on track?

Oh look, they've actually slowed down past the incident because that's what drivers are supposed to do under a Safety Car.

They did put out a warning towards the teams that there is a recovery vehicle on track (which is new)

Also it is dry, with good visibility, which does make a difference

Glad Alonso didn't have another Australia 2016. Didn't realize his front end lifted up that high and for so long. 😐

So, Red Bull is winning the title in the real world with three races left. Meanwhile the current FACC standings are:
Mercedes - 320
Red Bull - 315
[Ferrari - 234]
McLaren - 174 (Countback; 2x 18)
Alpine - 174
Aston Martin - 154
Haas - 129
AlphaTauri - 98
Alfa Romeo - 97
Williams - 72

The issue was always the visibility and driving conditions.

He’s lucky he missed the service road entrance. Then there was Stroll in a cloud of smoke in the middle of the fastest part of the track. That could have been really bad, all because of one dumb move.
