Shame about Seb's mistake, but with this car it's not over yet
Also, interesting tactics from Merc :P
And please, run a sprint race now, Liberty, please

How could Bottas be even slightly happy after that? Time and time again he bows down, at least show some sort of desire. Will be such an empty career considering the potential on paper.

Does anyone seriously think Bottas had the pace to overtake Hamilton? As soon as Lewis got his tyres up to temp and as soon as they hit the stadium section that 1s gap was created. There were a few laps where it looked like Bottas struggled to gap Raikkonen.

Great drive from Hamilton. Terrible mistake from Vettel. Game on for the championship where in my opinion Ferrari now has the faster car. Will be interesting to see if the predictions of Ferrari being quicker on the tracks in the later part of season come to fruition this year.

Bottas had already been told to hold position by then.

After being told to hold station, what was he supposed to do? Stay in dirty air and cook his tires?

Aaaand Merc told Bottas to hold position. Between this and the "tactics" debacle at Silverstone, it's becoming harder to root for Mercedes. 👎

Would I be right in thinking that Ferrari told Raikkonnnnnen to let Vettel through a little earlier in the race?

He ran wide at the fast right going into the stadium so I assume he got told after then. I never suggested that, my question was aimed at the people disagreeing with Mercedes' team orders.

Hamilton: Fair play to him, having great pace and not making any mistakes, but the last two races have demonstrated that started the front runners at the back is not a punishment, even without the rain he probably still could've challenged for a podium.

Bottas: At this point I'd be wondering, "Are they ever going to let me try and win a race?"

Vettel: Without his off I'm still not sure he would have won. He had the right idea with strategy and the team didn't, but even so he couldn't manage the tires. Had he not gone off he probably would have then pitted for either inters or ultra-softs seconds before the safety car was called and then either have to pit again for dry tires or lose the lead anyway.

Raikkonen: Not much to say, just unfortunate he couldn't catch Bottas in a very anti-climactic finale.

Ricciardo: Without his engine blowing his choice of tires could've worked out well as he could've gone all the way to the safety car without pitting.

Verstappen: Played virtually no role in this race, probably for the best with his track record.

Haas: All over the place but somehow Grosjean still grabbed sixth.

Renault: Another expected result.

Force India: Good race for them climbing their way through.

Sauber: The tables turned with Ericsson being clean and Leclerc spinning left, right and center.

McLaren: Vandoorne didn't actually retire which Sky didn't pick up on, and Alonso's new signature move appears to be retiring with a lap to go.

Williams: Their pace has improved but apparently their reliability hasn't.

Toro Rosso: That's a very important point for Hartley, hasn't had a clean weekend in ages. I'm not sure who's strategy call that was with Gasly, perhaps they're on Hungary time and anticipated the rain which of course is hitting the circuit after the race.
