This is what happens when Lewis is on the receiving end of adversity, dont make him angry he just knuckles down and tries even harder, sublime driving. Wonder if the dirty side of the grid will cause some fun with no support races & plenty of dust at Mos Eisly...

So apparently a few drivers didn’t lift for Gasly when there was double waved yellows, Max included. I did not see any yellows on tv feed.

Looks like only Vettel and Alonso lifted. But others elsewhere have said Bottas’ onboard, for one, showed full green on his display.

the digital flag system (track, pit and in car) didn't work.
Interesting, then.

General view is that nothing will happen though since a lot of drivers would be affected. I just stumbled on Reddit someone posting that even Max’s onboard shows him flying by Gasly with yellows being waved.

I watched Bottas’s onboard and it looks like theres marshal waving a yellow flag on the left side of the track across from Gasly’s car. It’s hard to see though.

On the left left side manual waving yellow and on the right green digital (meaning green for pitlane). And on the steering wheel nothing.
He should have looked to the left.

I wonder if there's any direction in what takes priority when there is conflicting information. I would guess it would be the flags in case the digital system breaks.

Regardless of whichever "system" they see, if you see a yellow flag or lightbox, it means danger slow down. Argue all you want, but a flag put out by mistake or "against the wishes of race control" is still a warning and could be for something else Race Control haven't seen. Yellow is yellow.

The end to this season is getting superheated in a way I haven't seen since I started watching F1. And the FIA at least is going to be leaving it with egg on their faces IMHO.
How many times have we been denied Lewis vs Max because of penalties this season... sigh...

Weren't some drivers given massive penalties and 3 penalty points for not slowing down under yellows in Austria?

I think most in that were cleared but a few got penalties.

Really bad time for Perez to lay an egg during qualifying. I did notice the graphic alternating between green and yellow when Gasly had the tire failure. The twist would be that if grid penalties are handed out, Gasly's misfortune could actually net him P2.

Does anyone have the speed traps details for the straight in Qatar?....I'm curious to see the gains that Red Bull are claiming Mercedes has right now. I thought there were much faster cars than Lewis in Brazil but Horner said in the interview that They are now nearly identical to Red Bull in Qatar so I'm very curious to look at some data.
