Firstly, slandering the Ford GT for being impractical is like slandering a bus for being slow. Of course the GT is very impractical, it's a supercar!

And why do you disagree with Clarkson on the F40? The way a car feels is probably the most important aspect of a supercar, and by nearly all accounts, this is what Ferrari does best. And according to him, this car provided the most exciting drive because it felt the best compared to all of the other cars he drove. This is his own opinion, and he is entitled to it, no matter how wrong you think he is. As me and JNasty have agreed on, what may be automotive perfection to one person may be the complete opposite to another person.

And besides, who cares about if it has no door handles. And it's 100hp deficit clearly didn't hurt it much, as it was the fastest in the 0-60 times out of all the cars in the test (3.2s).

I don't necesarily disagree with clarkson on the f40. I haven't had the opportunity to test it myself. I'm trying to get to he point that jnasty has been describing. Every car feels different to everyone and everyone likes something a bit different in a car. There is no way to determine the best car, no course can be used to compare all the supercars in the world because of differing strengths and weaknesses to each car. Clarkson tells you what car HE likes, that may or may not be the best for you. What makes top gear a good show is that they make it funny regardless of whether or not you like the car.

Yes every supercar is impracticle, but the ford gt is a bit too impracticle. Doors that can't be entered if a car is parked next to it. The gas consumption is a bit excessive. On the other hand his counterparts are taking the british perspective of a car built for america, where garages are big and lots are even bigger. But that doesn't matter because that is only their opinion.

Edit: Oh and personally I would take the zonda or the new new saleen s7 twin turbo.
