Does anyone in the US have a way to watch the races on mobile? The ESPN app we used to use got a forced update and now it's crap that doesn't work at all.

Does your internet provider have a streaming app?

I sometimes use SpectrumTV app with ESPN. Currently watching it on the PS4 ESPN app though.

Yea, on PS4 now. I woke up and had to do my morning bathroom business but it was right as the race was starting and I didn't want to miss anything! I gave up and missed the first 5 laps. From now on I'll be ready for every race so I can watch it on TV with no breaks. I'll pee in a bottle god damnit!

What's even more shocking than Ferrari falling back is Vettel stuck behind LeClerc.

Surely I can’t be the only one who despises both Hamilton and Verstappen. Never been a fan of the silver spoon guys and it’s frustrating to see them winning.

So far not a great start to the race from my POV...

Who do you support then? Because they're all silver spooners. Noone gets into F1 without buckets of money.

And Bottas seems to be having problems getting through the back of the field, still only P18

Edit: and almost losing another wing on Stroll

Bottas having trouble against Strol was just sad. He has fresher tires and a freakin' Mercedes! If he isn't inspired anymore he better speak up sooner rather than later

Anyone who earned their stay at a top team after trials in a lower team. Not really the time to go into it right now since hopefully the race picks up soon, but if you are handed a top drive with little to no time working your way up, I’m not going to be a fan.

Also doesn’t help that they act like they deserve to be in a top team at early 20s while there are drivers who instead are just eternally thankful for having their opportunities. It’s a state of mind

You still need a silver spoon to get to the lower teams. Let's not do this now.

If a driver goes into a top team and does what is asked of them, especially if they match or beat a more experienced team mate, they deserve that seat. Look at Gasly this year, showing how a top team doesn't guarantee success. Hamilton was clearly a massive talent, proved it in his first two years and has been the class of the field since 2014. Do you think Schumacher was a silver spoon driver for doing half a lap in a midfield car before being snapped up by Benetton?

Both Max and Lewis proved their worth, winning multiple championships in karting and having success in lower series before graduating to F1.

You don't get up there without working your way up. But teams are also not going to go after drivers who take too long to get up to speed.

Interesting comment from Martin Brundle: "Rubbing is racing AS THEY SAY IN AMERICA"....does that mean it's not the same concept everywhere around the world??:lol:

I don't really agree with that. Going through all the little league (i.e F2, F3) and winning them prior to getting into F1 is technically their trial phase. F1 is supposed to be at the top and the fact that they can come into F1 and go into the top team is testament to their skills....I may be one of the few people who think this, but the best drivers will always be in the best cars. You are not going to see a low performer in those lower categories come into F1 and go in to a top team.

He just means that in America it's called "rubbing is racing". In other countries it might have another term but the idea is the same. You may also hear it called "argy bargy"

Verstappen spent a season and a bit in a Toro Rosso, which certainly wasn't a top drive.

If Hamilton's first season had been Pierre Gasly-esque, sure. But he matched Alonso as a rookie, that's harder than making your learning mistakes whilst running around in 16th.

Nice guys finish last. If you don't completely and utterly believe you're the best, you won't be. That's the nature of sport and competition.

I prefer the nice guys. I was always a Jenson Button fan, and a Damon Hill fan before that, but I know full well they only won because of short periods of car dominance. The Schumachers, Alonsos, Vettels of the world are multiple champions beause of their I'm-the-best mentality.

Alright guys I’m just salty with the direction that F1 is headed in. The good news is that Russell, Norris, and Albon will be in good cars in a few years and things will be good again. Let’s keep the discussion to the race.

I’m sorry for bringing this up. You aren’t going to change my opinion on these guys and it would take an essay to explain what I admire in F1 drivers.

K.

Great race for the lead

Verstappen was cruising.

Now he's back on it.

Hamilton will have to pull back and cool down everything first.
