Crofty shut up. The Red Flag has nothing to do with the championship contenders and just because one has benefitted from a gamble it doesn't mean it's a deliberate bit of gameplay from the race director.

If the Tecpro needs to be restrung, it needs to be restrung. That is the third car (I'm aware of) that's hit that wall this weekend and it needs the strings inside retensioning it will take a while. Red flag Vs 20 minute safety car, red flag all the way.

A good compromise would be to allow it, but if you change anything to the car, you move to the back. The cars that move to the back are placed in order of position they were in before.

Would be way more fair, but still allows teams to fix dangerous situations

You can make that argument about Imola too... or lots of points and decisions. Lewis will just need to put on his 7x Championships britches and pass Max.
