Formula A

In a mikey_2412 lobby.
6:30PM UK time.

Formula A is a brand new series being brought to GTPlanet by 1996mikey2412. It will be a championship combining the three races per event style of BTCC, the small underpowered cars like the new FIA Formula E and of course, Formula 1® style points system.

This is the first season and is still currently experimental. I am open to ideas and to sign ups most definitely.

I promise this will be one of the best series' you will ever compete in online.

-------------------------

Car
Red Bull X2014 Junior
258BHP | 550KG

The car must be standard with oil change. Tuning will not be prohibited meaning it is now up to the drivers to set up their car to maximize their chance of getting the best result.

Sports:Soft tyres are the only tyre permitted.

The car cannot be fitted with numbers so colours will determine every driver from each other. Only one of each type of colour can be used per team/driver. You will be notified if there are any colour clashes.

-------------------------

Sign up

It is massively important that you sign up in the following format:

GTP ID
PSN ID
Team/Independent
Team name
Car colour

-------------------------

Entries
1996mikey2412 / mikey_2412 / TBA / Silver

The AWOL rule will be used in this season. As such, if you miss any three events without giving any reason or, even worse, any contact, you will be removed from the series. However, you are allowed to re-apply for the championship.

Drop scores
Over the season, a driver will be allowed three drop scores from nine rounds. This means a driver can miss three rounds (with reason) and still have a fighting chance at the championship.

Event Night

Practice - 6:30PM BST
The room will open at approximately 6:30PM and free practice will be on while the rest of the grid join the room.

Qualifying - 6:50PM BST
Qualifying will start at 6:50PM. It will be set to 'Race together' from the pits. It will last 10 minutes at every circuit.

Race 1 - 7:00PM BST
Race 1 grid will be decided by qualifying. The race will last 50 kilometers, and hopefully roughly 30 minutes.

5 minutes will be given for ballast to be applied.

Race 2 - 7:35PM BST
Race 2 grid will be determined by reverse results of race 1. This race will also last 50km and last roughly 30 minutes.

5 minutes will be given for ballast to be applied.

Race 3 - 8:10PM BST
Race 3 grid will be determined by reverse results of race 2. This race will last about 10 minutes as the final race of the night.

-------------------------

Ballast
Ballast will be given for the top 5 finishers of each race, as such:

1st - 50kg
2nd - 43kg
3rd - 36kg
4th - 29kg
5th - 20kg

These are still in testing so these may not be the final ballast specs.

-------------------------

Points System

1st = 25 points
2nd = 18 points
3rd = 15 points
4th = 12 points
5th = 10 points
6th = 8 points
7th = 6 points
8th = 4 points
9th = 2 points
10th = 1 point

The Formula One® points system will be used for this series, as explained at the top.

-------------------------

Rules
This series will follow GTPlanet's OLR Rules, and every driver that signs up must agree and adhere to these rules during the season.

Corner cutting - corner cutting is strictly prohibited and can be easily punishable , but only if there is no justifiable reason to why you have corner cut.

Bumping - this is a non-contact sport, meaning that any significant contact can be punishable but only if blame can be pinned on one driver. If there is an incident that causes one driver out of the race, the stewards will immediately look at it and a penalty will most likely be imposed on the causing driver.

Car specs - car specs are given to keep the competition fair between all of the drivers. Meaning that if any driver is found to infringe any spec will be liable to heavy punishment.

-------------------------

Warnings

1 warning (3 penalty points) - only one warning can be given in any race, any after that will be substituted by a 10-second penalty. 5 seconds will added on to that penalty for each offence. However, there is no limit to how many warning you can get on race night.

2 warnings (6 penalty points) - two warnings will equal 6 penalty points. 6 more will mean a one-round ban.

3 warnings (9 penalty points) - three warnings equals 9 penalty points, putting the driver on probation. 3 more points means a one-round ban.

4 warnings (12 penalty points) - 12 penalty points means a one-round ban. If this is received at the final round of the season, it will carry over to the next season.

5 warnings (15 penalty points) - 15 penalty points sees the driver being banned for the rest of the season.

-------------------------

This is a series made by 1996mikey2412 and is open to any ideas and entries.
