Tomorrow, in all likelihood. If doing that is the easiest to obtain proof of your lap time then have at it.

No. Once you've signed with a manufacturer, that's the manufacturer you're committed to throughout.

Theoretically speaking it gives the winner an advantage. Since they're setting the time to beat they can only go faster, therefore adding even more pressure.

I would have used an F1 drivers name if that counts as fictional, but I think it would be disrespectful as I might come last . I always wanted to attempt time trials at F1 2010 competitively, will be using the PS3 version and will be interesting to see how far I can get up the leaderboard on that too. When I first attempted the time trials I was way off the pace and blamed it on setup and gave up .

Trial 1 of the F1-MTC has unofficially begun. Why unofficially you ask? Well, the information is there in the Event Calendar so you know where it's taking place, and you're likely to have registered your chassis already so have at it. It will officially begin when all of the event info has been posted...which I haven't written up yet.

I'm also going to include an onboard lap of the venue in question, done by me. No real laps driven by real people, that's too much pressure.

Awesome, I did have a quick go on the track unofficially earlier today and was again off the pace. This game is frickin' ridiculous, time after time my lap gets invalidated trying to match the ridiculously fast drivers. Maybe it is because I'm slow .

Seriously though, some of the cornering speeds is alien speed, anyone else find they are off the pace in the region of seconds. I guess I can improve, maybe playing on easy mode for the first season has not helped me with my expectations and also not playing the game much due to the physics being strange on the limit.

This is great 👍 I pulled a couple of laps earlier to set a standard, and then absolutely smashed it with 2f-2r downforce If I push hard enough and keep it together, I can shave a couple of seconds I think with a proper tune I can get under 1:25 👍

I was using Shaggy's ghost in a McLaren as my time to get close to, and was still about 4 seconds off pace. I know where i'm slow though so I just need to practice and hit my gears properly on downshifting

Do you think you will beat Shaggy Alonso's time? Anyway this time trial event, you have to be lucky to do a fast time, as it is easy to get times invalidated as you have to try and carry as much speed through, and is quite easy to turn too early.

I wonder what setup direction Pollero-F1 went as I tried following, even if I cut the corner at the start and get ahead of him, he seems to have more acceleration through the gears and passes me. Maybe I'm changing the gears at the wrong time, is it good to over rev as I'm not doing that? Could be just due to an amazing setup and phenomenal lap.
