I don't follow you, but whenever the topic of Forza doing something wrong is mentioned, you always seem to pop up with a backhanded remark.

It's amazing how quickly you change your tone when you're called out.

He's always quick to point out what's wrong about Forza. It's not hard to see the pattern.
Then you should say about what King does as well. I don't see you stopping him whenever he has something bad to say about GT, EVERYTIME.

But it's rather easy for you to say that about me... I agree with @Tornado very much.

You talk to me as if I'm a fanboy. Not cool man.
I don't disagree with you, but please don't treat me like something I am not to stand by your point....

Considering there's not a single comment about you in that last post other than about your post count - there's two about the general GT community, so I suppose that can include you if you'd prefer - I'm not sure where you're getting that.

I get that you don't like GT, but wow that was over board.

If that's what you get from my posts, then you really are misunderstanding them! I dislike certain choices PD makes (especially with regards to the PS3 titles), but the series? Nope.

As an aside, I also don't consider the obvious GT5 comparison to be nearly as valid as it is being presented here because I've seen nothing to suggest that the differences will be nearly that large.

And that example doesn't really prove anything, because I would (and basically did) say the same thing for some of the people in that particular thread (King1982, for example).
I suppose any time I see someone using the term "sheep" to describe people, I automatically assume they're being snide. It's not like you don't know what your intent is behind using a term like that.

You're right; the jump from FM4 quality models to FM5 probably wouldn't be as big as the Standard/Premium divide. But it'd still be missing the explodable Forzavista modeling, so there'd still be a two-tiered system in place. I suppose one already was there in FM4 with Autovista (and pretending the awful S2000/22B/NSX/C4 Vette model quality was on par with the other cars), but my point is that there won't be a tiered system of any kind in FM5. All cars created for the new system.

What does this have to do with my post count. Seriously...

If that's the case, than I won't shy away and say I too dislike some of the choices T10 makes as well. In particular, ForzaVista which is a waste of resource. You're okay with it, I'm not but still love the series.

And unlike if PD was to do the same thing, I don't consider T10's decision to be the better one considering how much more was lost and how little was gained.

I do find it very annoying when either side makes stupid remarks (I'm a GT and Forza fan afterall). I'm not trying to police the site, but when people act coy and plead ignorance, it annoys me.

Sidenote: It's sad that all of us bitching is all we ended up talking about tonight haha!

Well. I'm not really trying to police the site, nor trying to be ignorant. When you're really a big fan of something, it's rather hard to keep up with the other, but at least you don't have this. I respect that. 👍

Haha. I know right? Funny thing is I've also gotten Slip into it as well.

So they apparently didn't bother future proofing any of the Forza 4 DLC.
This really has me scratching my head.
Same goes for Horizon DLC. I'm assuming all cars were done to the same standards by the same people/teams.

This really makes me question the split of new/returning vehicles for DLC. There's no way they're going to completely dump fairly new assets.

Where are these Horizon DLC cars:
Virage,
R8 GT,
Sesto Elemento,
RT 12 R,
599XX,
8C Spider,
Gumpert(s),
Aventador J,
Gallardo Spyder,
shelby 1000,
M3 GTS,
FORD GTX1,
The evo x and r34 gt-r they had on the first showroom reveal,
LFA Nurburgring,
2013 civic,
HPD FIT,
1973 rx-3,
2013 RS4 Avant
bmw m135i,
r390,
Joss,
CLK GTR,
Alfa TZ3,
2002 m3-gtr
and another 10 or so trucks/suvs/wagons

They did just show a 2014 civic @sema and that's not on the list as well.

They may be new models but they weren't modelled for Forzavista so putting them into the game would be like having a GT6 premium and standard car list

Im glad that turn 10 didnt go down the premium standard rd. They stuck to there guns and have turned out 200+ cars all with forza vista and laser scanned tracks. This is a good platform to start with on the next gen console. Im glad they didnt cut any corners it just means that the final product will be quality not quantity.

Do you actually believe that? These are cars that came after FM4, the game which was a test bed for forzavista. Why would T10 not model every car to FV standards while they were already working on FM5, a game which would feature FV for every car? We both know they're smarter than that.

Maybe they aren't, nor you or I could be entirely sure what goes on behind the scenes or when these cars were scanned for modelling

There's a video where Dan says "in many ways in FM4 we prototyped what a forzavista car should be in the next gen".
Does that not sound like even the cars new to FM4 were already future proofed?

If you've ever worked on a large project (I'm talking enterprise level), you'll know just how important production schedules are. I'm sure they had the foresight to scan each of those cars to Forzavista levels, but the immediate output was for FM4 and FMH assets.

Poor car models, dull undetailed interiors, not as bad as GT but quite similar

Not remotely close to similar. GT4's car models used an outdated design system and suffered from that and poor quality textures when they were new (which was 5 to 9 years before they were reused), and as a result they were locked out of most of the features the Premiums had. The dozen or so cars that looked awful in Forza 4 could have been excised without too much problem (the main one I would miss isn't going to be in Forza 5 anyway), and the 400 other ones (many of them which are barely over a year old) would just not have Autovista.

Yeah, because most of the cars built for Forza 4 (especially the DLC) looked near as no difference to as good as the ones I've seen for Forza 5; and I never bothered with Autovista in FM4 so certainly I don't see that as a reason to excise 400 some odd recently-modeled vehicles for the game. And since the GT5 comparison isn't nearly as strong as being presented to justify it (even with Greenawalt using it as a jab at PD), I don't see much of a reason why anyone would be particularly bothered by it.

HA, no they don't
