Um its been the 6th for 18 hrs now and still no final car list..................

Perhaps because it's only been 53 minutes into the 6th there are time zones in the world. And considering T10 are an American company I'd say they'll release it east coast time which is only 2 almost 3 hours into the 6th.

T10 goes by Pacific time IIRC, so expect a list within about 6 hours.

My Delta S4 is in!!!

I don't care (so much) that my 155, 99 Turbo and Volvo 240 are MIA anymore.

The S4 is in!!!

But they took my FXX away! It wandered over to GT6 and forgot to come back :dopey:, I was hoping to see the 2014 C7 as well, maybe next time eh?

Yeah, it does seem like a bunch of great cars got lost in translation. It's very hard to swallow, but that's change.

Now I know what it feels like to be a dirty apologist.:P

Did they say 120 new cars or was I dreaming? I hope they have a plan for adding good cars that runs in tandem with their planned dlc release of sixty cars. It would be nice to know what the final count on cars and tracks is going to be.

Exactly what I was thinking, although someone pointed out to me that it was from a website that was exactly truthful. How many are actually new from the full list?

Not sure if any else are missing but those stood out to me...

Thanks for compiling them by manufacturer though. Much easier to look at!

Yes at release. There are going to be some DLC add-ons like Nurburgring in Jan.
I certainly hope so :) Unlike PD, Turn 10 is quite good at keeping up with the gamers' expectations so I will be looking forward to see some track DLCs.

So they apparently didn't bother future proofing any of the Forza 4 DLC. That's pretty disappointing.

And once again I've been denied my C4 Corvette!

Looks like they're going the GT3 route in a big way. Low quantity, high quality.

It'll be interesting to see how that turns out. It worked very well for GT3, obviously. In a different time and place can it work as well for FM5?

Although what T10 did was okay, and others accept that. However, what about those who were expecting the list to be greater than FM4? But I am rather disappointed with the track count though, there should have been more tracks.

Anyways. Think of FM5 as a "Enthusia" with great physics and everything from the FM series. That should help.

*A tip from Toko Toko of course* ;)

The perceived low quality, high quantity of GT5 was what drove me away from the series. On the flip side, I loved GT3, despite the decrease in cars. I probably spent more time on GT3 than any in the series.

FM5's numbers might make it a bittersweet launch, but I feel too many can't see the forest for the trees.

People expected more than 600 cars done to a higher level of quality than they were done in FM4, all done in two years time?

Like I read so many times in another section; it sounds like this isn't the game for you. If you'd rather quantity over quality, there are other games that follow that approach.

See above comment.

...what? I think of FM5 as FM5. FM4 had the best physics on consoles, so unless they bungled that up pretty heavily, I've no doubt FM5 will continue the tradition. Shame I won't be able to find out first-hand until next year.

That's some insight...

GASP! How rude Slip, I expected more from you. :sly: Anyway it'll be so nice to see you say that to any casual, such as what myself is already.

The reason why I said that is because Enthusia was a great game even with lower cars and tracks, but had great physics and I see FM5 just like it but better. If you don't like that, that's fine. It's just a tip.

A casual wouldn't have a few thousand posts on a message board dedicated to the game, now would they? :)

My point still stands, especially considering all the folks rushing to defend PD's choice to recycle PS2 assets with the rebuttal that we (logically) couldn't expect the entire GT4 car list converted to Premium status for GT5.

I'd rather afford both games the same measuring stick; I find recycling last-gen assets disappointing, and a knock to the level of consistency in a game. PD chose it as opposed to the path they took with GT3; Forza mimicked that game's choice instead. Same goes with the tracks; I can certainly understand folks being disappointed with the lower number, but I'd much rather the laser-scanned goodness we've seen so far than rehashes from ages ago.

What I find so surprising is some people using two entirely different methods to judge games. A good move for one game's development should be a good move for another's.

Ah, I see your point. I'll stick with my GT3 comparison then; a reminder of when PD wasn't afraid to sacrifice headline numbers in the name of a gorgeous, consistent experience.

You talk to me as if I'm a fanboy. Not cool man. I've gotten every single FM title except for FM2, and enjoyed them. Sure I won't be getting FM5 and the XB1, nor the PS4 because I'm ready to move forward yet, so I have GT6. If FM5 was the X360, you'll see how fast I'll get that game. I'll think about picking the XB1 when its price drops or at least bundled with FM5.

I don't disagree with you, but please don't treat me like something I am not to stand by your point.... I get that you don't like GT, but wow that was over board.

You were just calling the Forza fans that would buy they day one DLC "sheep". How do you expect people to take your criticisms?

Only the blind ones at that with this latest season pass, not all. I really dislike that in Horizon and was worried some fans will flock to that, now it's somewhat happening in FM5 which I don't like. GT fans blindly bought the paint chip DLC and I too as well, so I'm also blind. I should have worded it correctly. And oh, I guess you follow some of my posts on the GT Fourms, interesting...

And isn't the Day One DLC free?

EDIT: Basically I was talking about the Season Pass, that's too much...

I don't follow you, but whenever the topic of Forza doing something wrong is mentioned, you always seem to pop up with a backhanded remark.

It's amazing how quickly you change your tone when you're called out.

I don't see how the two things are automatically related.
He's always quick to point out what's wrong about Forza. It's not hard to see the pattern.

And that example doesn't really prove anything, because I would (and basically did) say the same thing for some of the people in that particular thread (King1982, for example).
