Porsche 919 on Racing Hards, Medium turbo (optional, but just to make sure!) no stop needed, the other cars all stop and I was already on course to take the lead even if they didn't!
Yes, the most important thing is to manage your fuel setting so you don't need to pit, as the AI all does. Personally, I used a detuned F3500 to make use of the new car, using the tune that was posted a couple of pages back by @rheinaoi , detuned to 900PP.
(Disclaimer: I play on Easy, first run through of the Cafe mode was on normal, but after that I just wanted an Easy life  )

Races done at the very last, not much time this week since there's the Sanremo festival! All done on Normal, since I couldn't really try over and over again. But, all (except for one) were great fun!

The only 356 Coupe I had was the 550pp one I used for the one-make special time ago. Still very drivable even after 1.55 patch, no, it's even better. Easy win.

A nearly stock WRX STI on SH tires was really competitive here, won by a couple of seconds after a very fun race. In the photo, the very moment when I lost the CRB.

Decided my stock Evo X wasn't gonna be enough for this, so I tuned it up to 620-something PP on SM tires. Found my old GT2 race mods livery I made in Sport ages ago and decided, why not? Imported it and made it into some sort of Super Taikyu livery. Very fun and competitive race with the leading cars! This layout is GOOD. There, I've said it, I like a St. Croissant layout.

Only fitted the death star turbo on this one, on RM tires and FM4, stock tune. This car is SUBLIME, it was so much enjoyable to drive! Pitted on lap 7, did the last three laps on RS and won. Super super fun!

And now, for the tickets. The parts one, you already know what Kaz gave me...

And the car ticket? Not much better...

Dupe car in the exact same color scheme of the one I already had. Sold it for 550k.

I just raced the Suzuka race once & on the 8th lap, it started to drizzle enough for AI cars to pit for inters. Is rain in the ending stages just random or a given?

I was going to be disappointed that they didn't give this a Tourist Trophy like name, but apparently the Viper doesn't have a GT4 one-make event to take the name from. I'd have thought it would have from memory.

I wonder if this inspired the Viper race. The first event is even at Daytona!

OR, does anyone remember that old PC game called "Viper Racing?"

So I'm currently about halfway through updating all the PP values on the randomiser (doing it alphabetically by manufacturer, just finished Mazda).

I'm going to be honest, if PD change these again in a future update I'll be very tempted to just not fix them next time, I really don't want to spend a good part of another day on numerical data entry...
First-off, thanks for doing this. Very awesome and super appreciated given you don't have to do it at all.👍

Second, any opportunities for automation? If not that, getting it down to little more than a copy/paste exercise when new values are released? I ask because it looks like basic spreadsheet/db stuff when posted. Trying to solution now...pretty confident it's not really a matter of IF they will update them again.😁

As for what I did in GT today, it mostly amounts to thinking about what I haven't done in days. I need to get on the weekly offerings...haven't touched one yet and I'm down to hours, lol.

I think for that newly-added round of the Japanese FF Challenge 450, I'm gonna use a completely stock Honda Integra Type R '95.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: In the Snake Pit

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges continue to arrive on their regular schedule, with another set now available or, if it’s not yet midnight on Thursday in your time zone, coming soon...
Title could have been better this week @Famine - "A Nest of Vipers" for example?

And just like that, the GR.4 Viper I won is gonna be used. I'm just praying the AI doesn't realize it can use the GR.3 car, otherwise I'm screwed
Spoiler alert: The AI are still not as fast on the banking and bus stop. I gained the lead on Lap 6 in my 652BHP/1100kg/RS(prepared myself with stick boots just in case) shod Gran Turismo Racing Modification '96('02) GTS. ;)

Stickies it shall be then!

Interesting week, mostly thanks to some lovely time of day changes in four out of the five races. Sardegna is very easy with the AI struggling on the downhill section, fun layout in cars around that speed though. Tokyo is also very easy, you can go quite a long way under the suggested PP especially if you have good straight line speed, again a track I enjoy though. Wasn't too keen on Hypercar Parade even though I like the track mostly because I find it a weird race where all you have to do is beat the Vulcan (on RH), Valkyrie (if it's there) or the Veneno. The Viper race caught me out a bit as I didn't expect the AI to be as tuned as they were, or on RH. Ended up in my fully tuned '13 Viper GTS which completely blew the AI away and ended with me winning by like 20 seconds, absolutely could run something a bit slower for more of a challenge, something like the Gr.3 Viper might do it but much below that performance wise I think you'll struggle. Really fun to race as the sun set and the lights came on though. Last race at High Speed Ring is always a fun one because again it has a great time of day change which gave me a lovely hazy sunset with the odd bit of drizzle through the race. Sometimes this one has a lot of rain, quite a lot of variability if you want to repeat it but one run for me in my Camaro SS was enough to win by around 18 seconds. I think you can get quite far under the PP limit and run a lot of different engine swapped cars here, as long as you can run like 1:06 you can easily run a two stop strategy and win.

Cars for this week:
