***Forza 6-wish list***

Sorry for double post but the previous one is pretty old.

Now that it has been confirmed that. Oculus Rift has partnered with Microsoft and Xbox, I wish that it gets implemented even if it's for Autovista. Looking at those beautifully rendered cars with a VR headset must be an awesome experience.

It'd be nice but from what I've seen I don't think Xbox One has the processing oomph for a fully immersive VR experience on the console alone. As I understand it they'd need to port Forzavista to a PC with a suitably powerful graphics card in order to achieve this and much as we'd all like to see that happen I've a feeling that MS don't as they're protective of their console. I'd dearly love to be definitively proved wrong on this though.

All the BMW's, Mustangs, Vipers, Camaro's and such from FM4 and I'll be happy
With X1 to 360 backward compatibility, you'll be able to enjoy all that FM4 epicness on X1 quite soon

A tech question to anyone, if I may...

It was said back in the day when I was a Playstationer, that PS1 games would look a little better and load quicker on a PS2. The same or similar was said for PS2 games on a PS3

Is that so, or just a placebo effect? What I'm asking (in crushingly long-winded fashion :lol:) is, will 360 games look and load a tad better on the X1? Is that even technically possible?

Thanks in advance 👍

I suppose that would work, I mean a newer console could load in everything faster due to better hardware. Unless a remastered version was released I don't see it looking any better.

Thank you :) You know, I'm so chuffed X1 is getting 360 b/c. My 360 died two weeks ago and I wasn't going to get another. Nearly got round to trading my 360 games in. But now it's all fluffy wonderfulness

The HDD bandwidth should be noticeably higher than on 360, and I think I've read on neogaf from people who are using BC now that load times are much better.

Thank you 👍

edit: Forgot to ask earlier, more tech. Would lowering the resolution of my X1 to 720p boost
game performance? Resolution kills fps in my PC sims but does that carry over to X1?

I use a relatively small (26") lcd so I reckon I could get away with it, looks-wise

Thanks in advance :)

I'm not sure Xbones will have much of a performance problem playing 360 games in the first place to require any resolution drop but as I said elsewhere I'm no techie.

As for FM6 my most fervent wish is that they keep Chris Evans the hell away from this and any future incarnations of this game.

Thank you 👍

The emulation will run games exactly as they were on 360, native resolution/framerate is exacty the same, but it's upscaled to 1080p the same way that Xbone's sub1080p are. Basically Phil Spencer said Xbone is treating it like native games which is why you can still use all the OS features like streaming/screenshots/etc.

Can I just get this out there: fix engine swaps. That is my big wishlist item for FM6.

I don't mind these generic ones in the XB1 games so far - the majority have an obvious real-life source - but I'd really love to see a return to same-manufacturer swaps, perhaps in addition to the current ones. Maybe even give us another option in the Conversion sub-section: Alongside the Aspiration and Drivetrain swaps, perhaps have Engine Conversion (Same Make) and Engine Conversion (General).

The 4-rotor swap for the Miata is just silly. Toss us a few more Mazda swaps and I'd sink countless hours into all sorts of combinations. Give me a BMW with their 2.0L turbo and I'll get sucked in recreating all sorts of their cars.

Another thing I noticed today: could we paint over CF aftermarket hoods? I mean, without resorting to sticking vinyl shapes over them. It made sense that we couldn't in the 360 games, but with CF now being a selectable texture for coating your whole car, there's no real reason to not let us repaint the hoods themselves. On a similar note, maybe let folks paint their brake calipers now that they're more visible. Can't be a big hurdle, I imagine.

Given today's escalating gear counts, I feel a re-think of the transmission options is in order too. Let people decide how many gears they'd like on their cars. Offer more transmissions to take this into consideration.

Lastly, but almost most importantly: give us better organization. FM4's was great: I loved that I could have custom folders, organized however I preferred, for my garage. Even that exact system, un-touched, would be welcome, but nowadays, we could go one better: let users create custom tags so that their cars can show up in multiple folders at once. I had some cars in my "Often Used" section that also fell into my "GT recreations" one, as an example. I'm worried my poor right trigger is going to die prematurely given the current setup.

Would genuinely love to see something like these somewhere down the line for the game:

Well, I so far did get one of my wishes granted; FM6 will have night & weather courses. It's not dynamic, but it's still better than nothing.

Anyway, I have a track wishlist:
- Fuji Speedway Classic [80's & 90's]
- Fuji Speedway Modern [GT & Full]
- Monza Circuit [Full, Short, Classic]
- Watkins Glen
- Suzuka [East, West, Full]
- Maple Valley Raceway
- Alpine Ring
- Amalfi Coast (w/ Full Circuit from FM3)
- Willow Springs
- Circuit of the Americas
- Sedona Raceway
- Mugello
- Sunset Pennsula
- Camino Viejo
- Lime Rock Park
- Ascari
- Hockenheimring (Classic Layout)
- Spa Francorchamps (Classic Layout)

EDIT: On the possibility of seeing Porsche dlc in FM6, I have some models that I would like to see included in FM6 if the dlc occurs:
- 550 Spyder
- 911 Carrera RS 1973
- 911 Carrera 3.8 RS (964) 1992
- 911 Turbo (993) 1996
- 911 GT2 (993) 1996
- 911 GT1 Street Version (993) 1996
- 911 GT3 (996) 2004
- 911 Turbo (996) 2004

I wish they can bring the Forza series to the PC. I don't see why not. It will surely bring in more revenue for MS since sim racing is quite big on PC.

Whatever profit they gain in PC players they'll lose in hardware sales and the subsequent attached games on console so I don't think they feel it's in their best interests.

A free-play or Arcade mode with all locations and cars (in stock form) unlocked from the start, as well as the ability to choose race laps, static weather conditions for race, simulation damage (on/off), wear and number of opponents. That's basically my "win it or bin it" request for this game.

I guess you're right. Or they can bring in the past series like FM4 and FM5. Bring back life to an old game since I'm pretty sure sales have stopped for the console for them.

Didn't Forza 3 & 4 have this?

Oh, never played Forza 5. Don't see why they would remove it, I saw it as a nice way to test out a car before buying and tuning it in career mode.

For Forza Motorsport 6, I hope for Turn 10 to have the dlc cars a bit more fair in pricing. I mean, not in the overall packs as their charging 1 dollar per car, but for how much they charge for a single car out of the pack. $3 per car in FM5 was too much, I think $1.50 to $2.00 for a single car out of the pack would be more fair. I also think that there should be a free car per pack like in FH2.
