Is anyone else having a problem signing in to their Xbox? I've been trying for 30 minutes and it's just not happening.

New Christmas rewards available now. I'm Tier 7 and I got 10,000 credits each for FM5 & FH2. That's a smaller amount than they usually give away monthly, but free money's free money.

Monthly still coming, I suppose. I saw that there'll be Christmas rewards the other day and was looking forward to it, but 10K, cheap basta.... I mean, thank you very much!

Had to buy myself a Christmas present even though I said I wasn't going to. Finally gave in and bought myself the Thrustmaster TX. Set me back A$ 417. Hope it's worth it.

Dunno if anyone else got the couple of cars they gave away the other day.

Just the Focus for me. Still wished I'd have gotten VIP before buying the expansion.

Yeah, been having problems too signing into Live.

I already had the Aventador in FH2 but not the Focus RS, and I already had the Focus RS in FM5 but not the Aventador, so it worked out for both.

^^ Hahaha....meeee! I took a dump on it once!!

Glad you're enjoying it. If I hadn't played H1, I might have enjoyed it too. H1 is truly impressive though, it does a few things better than FM4. Check it out ONLY when you get through H2.. cos you don't want your current experience to get tainted in any way. :D
I played the demo back when FH1 was released, but the Colorado setting didn't awe me as much as southern Europe (especially seeing i'm living in the south of Spain, so it's almost as if i'm driving around here but in cars i could never afford in real life).

What was better about FH1 then?

Second impressions: Driving through tunnels and downshifting is quite addictive, shame you can't adjust the engine volume separately from the SFX, the engine sound is a lot more dimmed compared to FM4 (which was a bit over the top), so i have to crank up the volume to enjoy the engine sounds but then all those SFX and voices sound damn loud.

Other than that i just love cruising around which means i never really win one of those speed trap challenges :D

You haven't actually played h2 360 yet. Judging by what everyone is saying it sounds good, and it has everything fh1 has, so you probably will enjoy it. Give it a go, you might love it :)

I got this from my parents for Christmas and it's like Horizon 2 in film form.

I agree with the similarity of Spain of some section of the map and honestly about 90% of the map resembles much of the Spanish countryside.

I came back from holiday with my wife last night from Barcelona visiting my parents and it may sound strange, but ever since I played FH2 I thought (this looks like Spain!) Montellino, San Giovanni and Sisteron are very very similar to places I have been to in real life.

Lucky!! All I get to see is flat, pot hole infested roads surrounded by cornfields....if im lucky, I can get stuck behind a two lane wide farm tractor to allow me to soak in the sites!

You need to play the entire Horizon game to see how gorgeous it looks. Sure, a Southern European setting makes for an interesting driving game... but the visuals do not do any justice to the setting believe me.. the X1 version is what you're after if you want to enjoy the European setting. H1's Colorado setting is richly detailed, very scenic... makes for stunning photos.. and the lighting and reflections you'll love. That's guaranteed.

This is something the Horizon games do better than Motorsport (on X360).. the tunnel sounds.. they're oh my Lord so pleasing to the ear. The engine sounds on H1 are actually quite good... not mute and weak like in H2-360.

GT guy, I think you missed one of my earlier posts; I did get the game and returned it within an hour. Not even close to how good H1 was. It offended me. I did not feel motivated to explore it. Very basic and arcadish control. Engine sounds = mute. And it looked dull and dated. Major letdown.

Apologies, missed that post. Sorry to hear you didn't like it.

I haven't been near my Xbone for a couple of days (family bereavement in the Netherlands necessitated an 835-mile round trip, fortunately I wasn't driving) but I just heard on BBC News that Live and PSN were hacked by some folks calling themselves the Lizard Squad over Christmas. I understand XBL at least is now up though.

This ended up on the "family Xbox" over the holidays so the little time that I've spent on it, I have to say it's really a fun game to play. It's refreshing to just play a game that doesn't take itself to seriously and just focuses on cars and having a good time. Hopefully Turn 10 continues to support it like they have been since it's release.

Hey I got a quick question for you guys. How long did it take you to install the disc onto your Xbox? I should be getting a One soon and I would like to know ahead of time.

Indeed that's the refreshing thing compared to circuit racing games, my game of choice for that is Grid AS, but it takes an effort and requires concentration as I play on hard, and have to go through practice to warm up, quali for setting a good time and a though race to get good results, whilst with FH2 I enjoy cruising around most of the time and when I feel like it I stop by to have a fun, slightly less hard race as the gameplay is more arcadish. It feels very relaxing and addictive.

How you mean knife edged? Don't have a PC so the real sims are not yet available for me. ;)
The steering is twitchy and you can easily upset the balance of the car. Yet at the same time, you don't seem to get any weight transfer or oversteer while braking or lifting the throttle, so it's up to you to steer the car into the corner "manually" on that narrow balance of traction. To me it lacks the intuitive flow of a realistic simulator and it's a bit tense to play.

Depends on the class of cars, open wheelers are my least favorite but apart from that i think you do have good weight transfer when releasing the brakes and can use it to throw the cars towards where you want them to point quite easily, but of course if you would compare it to pc sims it will fall short. A good simcade is what it is, and very challenging on top of that (which is it's main attraction). Also with the quick tuning you don't have to tweak long to correct the cars, as you can get them to your liking in 5 minutes.

But as i said, for a relaxing drive/race FH is the best choice :)

You can race a Mclaren off road, it's about as far removed from a "sim" as you can get. It's just a fun game I think...

How do you share designs online? I've searched the Forza forums and the only answer I found wasn't helpful..
