It will be very interesting to see the differences between the versions,
for the first time in Forza history we will get the same title on two platforms.

With the recent XB1 price drop, and the announcement of FH2, I am giving in and grabbing an XB1 this month without question. I will def rent or buy a used copy of FM5 while i wait for release.

Yeh same here, I mean I'm still on X360.

Since it's going to be based on the H1 engine, I'm on the fence now. No weather, no drivatars..

By the way, where have they confirmed the 360 version won't be having these two features?

Also, they had better improve the sounds and physics. Otherwise, I'll be safely skipping it.

As far as sales go, no doubt the X1 version. In fact, it's going to drive even better sales of the X1 console too.

Where did you get the idea that there will be no weather on the 360?
I read all the articles, it wasn't mentioned anywhere.

Well Turn 10 a while ago said that Xbox 360 hardware just couldn't handle weather and also Open Wheel Physics wasn't able to be done on 360 hardware, Also Dan said they didn't wanna implement those in the game until it was right and since they got physics right in Forza Motorsport 5 I don't see why it wouldn't be but the reason people are saying limitations for the xbox one is because we have to be fair to those who own a xbox 360 and they should have the same content which is bull, Us Xbox one owners don't pay over 600 dollars for something and receive a game with the content that's suppose to be presented out the game because of Xbox 360 owners or CROSS gen as what you would call it.

Or who knows maybe i'm jumping the gun.

Holy runonstencence batman.

IIRC, weather was not added with the xbox 360 because it was not up to par with the standards set. It would not be able to run at 60fps, and they where not about to just throw it in for the sake of having it.

No one knows why its not in FM5, maybe it was time, maybe it was something else. We'll see how 30fps and weather works on Forza Horizon 2, maybe it'll be a peak into the future of the Forza series.

Do you think Open wheel will be included on the xbox one and 360 ?

Hard to say. There's a couple of things that can happen. The can either have two games with different cars.. Xbox 360 not having any open wheels and Xbox one being the one to get them, or they can just not put them in all together. Both of which will create some backlash of some sort. That is something I wont guess on, I'd rather just wait for that information.

*edit* Nevermind, old news.

TL;DR: I just discovered that the Renault Clio Williams was being modeled for a Forza game.

Did they say there's no weather in the 360 version, or is this just an assumption?
If that happens I will not purchase it. That would also be a massive bs move. I am sure it will have weather on the 360 especially since TDU2 and several other racing games have weather. I am simply not purchasing a Horizon game unless it has weather.

Do you guys think it's worth it if I buy a kinect-less Xbox one for this and forza 5? This announcement is just too much to take!!!

We don't know because Horizon 2 is not out yet. This is also coming out for the 360 just in case you didn't already know.

Well you wouldn't buy the Xb1 only for those 2 games, right? Look at the future,
so if the devs stick to the plan that will mean FM6 next year and FH3 in 2016 and so on + plenty of other games.
And today's article said T10 even think about expanding the franchise with one more title. Rally sim would be cool.
