Does anybody know if there will be another article on IGN today?
Should be but going off the last two days it's at least an hour late.

Also you forgot another important detail in the first post.
  • Destructible environments. :)
I didn't forget, I left it off since we don't know how destructible they will be, you could smash up fences and signs and flower pots in the first after all. And so far all I have seen is fences being destroyed.

Sounds really interesting, having holiday roads enforces my idea of Tuscany as a drivable region (that and the screenshot).

That said, soundtrack is subjective, the First Horizon had like 2 songs I bothered to listen (mainly this) the rest was just dubstep gibberish that I had to opt out and use my custom soundtrack (mostly made out of Chemical Brothers).

More variety in music wouldn't go a miss, maybe some classic track like this one would be more fitting to the scenes (something relaxing, not :censored:ing bass everywhere).

Very nice, 1080p. Horizon 2 will be the prettiest racing game for sure.
The locked 30 fps were to be expected, because open world and dynamic weather system.
Seriously these guys should show other developers how to make games run @1080p on the Xb1.

Well that was rather boring. I am glad to see its at 1080 but something more would have been nice too. At least it sounds like the barn finds will actually be worth it this time for something more than an achievement.

Already impressed with the fact that there are straight up new cars to the franchise; not just 'new' to the Xbox One. Also good to hear about more barn finds. Always loved finding wrecks in TDU2, and was really excited for Horizon's spin on it, but it just ended up being way too easy and short.

It would have been nice to have the entire barn find roster consisting of brand new models to Forza, but half of them being new is a step in the right direction as far as player incentive goes. Better that buying those new cars through DLC at any rate.

Was there ten barn finds for fh1?

Nine.

That is indeed great news. I've put 85 hours and counting into FH so far. So by the looks of it, I will probably never see the end of FH2.
Agreed @Master Weasel. :)👍 And this time, I'm going to be just like you and take my time as well. Not gonna rush, woohoo! :D

1080p/30fps was to be expected. I'm okay with it, since I played many games that were 60s and 30s anyway. Haha. :)

I'm well aware of that :)

I just found 30 for the bone hilarious.
NFS Rivals is 30fps on all consoles, even PC. Even more hilarious. :)

Whys that? You are aware that all consoles(current) have certain games locked at 30fps correct?
Why? Because you would expect that these new, not just updated model, consoles would be a decent leap especially given the pc architecture they're based off.

But obviously they're too stingy to put a decent GPU in :)

Ah, its more of a Lol @ current gen consoles, rather then a Lol @ Xbox One.

It's both really. The resolution difference between the x360 and xbone version will be hard for the average consumer to notice.

Current gen games, as well as this, look good none the less. Doesnt bother me much that its not up to par with the ever changing top specs of PC's.

That probably has to do with me never really being interested in PC's, though.

It will be quite noticable, because in this case the last gen version is running on the old engine.

Well I'll be curious to see how much of a quantum leap the xbone version will be.

Xbox One pun ahoy!

And I'm not a Sony fanboy or pc, I have a ps1-3, Xbox, Xbox 360 fat, Xbox 360s and my pc isn't a gaming one so I'm not intending to seem like a troll or starting a console war.

I'm just a pessimist.

Yes that is great news that the barn finds will be new cars. I also agree about how fun it is to find the wrecks in TDU2. Which reminds me, I still need to find all of those.

Be great if we had more of a role in the restoration. Sort of like in Street Rod II.
I for one would not mind it but at the same time I'm not sure how we would. I definitely don't want to be running around collecting parts for the resto the entire game. But the only alternative I can think of is paying astronomical sums to finish new sections of the car like engine suspension Ect.

I would really enjoy that. Travelling to find certain parts, trading, or even generic race. Anything will be better then how it was taken care of in FH1.

Right as I posted that I'd like that, you posted that you wouldnt haha. With an open world, I dont see it being to much of a hassle. Especially if the world is big enough, it gives incentive to travel.

Hey you copy cat, I have all those. lol!

I think I wouldn't mind some parts runs but I don't want to have like 4-5 missions per barn find to get. But some kind of improvement to the barn find system would be better than the old one for sure.
