Well, if my calculations are correct...

We have Horizon's map in the middle. Pink is that very map x3 (So, more or less the estimated size of Horizon 2 map) and in green, we have Oahu, from TDU.

We have to remind something. Horizon map is much smaller than that, since in Horizon a lot of the terrain is not accesible at all, so, if we only count drivable space, Horizon 2 map will be smaller.

The good thing about TDU was the long travels, but most of the map was...the same and the same. I prefer a smaller map, but with more things to do...
To be fair I hated the size of Oahu. Heck even Ibiza was a little too much for me. Personally smaller maps are great but they just have to be open a little more. While FH1's map was blocked off I enjoyed it and found no problems with the map size.

Oh sweet, nice to see a comparison, it's not quite as bad as I thought. And yeah, I forgot about the completely free map... TDUs wasn't so free (although TDU2s version was due to the off road ability). As long as it's packed with cool roads and such it should be pretty good.

Really might have to fork out for an Xbox One for this... unless the 360 version isn't missing too many features...

Those photomode pics look nice, but we all know they remove the nasty jaggies. :P
I wanna see gameplay videos now!
Can i remind you how Horizon looked?

It's killing me how the background screen is literally a censored trailer (presumable FH2). You can see artifacting and stuff and sometimes show some car-like figures when the censor screws up.
Let us see the trailerrrr
Wait till Friday for a Teaser

So either GameStop jumped the gun on a few details or they are legit. Their description says the game will have "more than 200 of the world's greatest cars". What do you guys think?

No it's because your not using an HDMI cable.
I'm using VGA cable because the first 360s didn't have HDMI output.
Anyway - the Horizon 2 photomode section will get flooded on day one for sure. :) sry for ot

I hope the handling isn't dumbed down again. The muted engine sounds in FH sucked as well.

Oh, and Big Shot please.
I have to agree. After listening to a couple of the cars in FM4 (such as a fully built Supra), it was quite disappointing to hear in Horizon how quiet they were (FM5 is a little guilty of this as well. That same Supra doesn't sound as aggressive or loud as it did in FM4, but they improved in other areas to equalize it). Hoping Horizon 2's cranks them up a bit more without having to rip through the tunnels.

Making a note that I'm not saying the sounds are bad, they're far from it. They just require me to turn up the volume more than I would normally to actually hear them in their glory.

You could turn up the volume in FH, but then the menu sounds will be amplified as well, and the menu sounds in FH are pretty jarring.

is it weird that i'm excited for an exclusive console game which console i don't even have ? i'm looking forward to watch the walkthrough and stuff. FH1 was amazing but the map doesn't looked alive to me.

What i've heard is that the game engine on X1 and X360 are different, curious to see how much different it will be.

Looking at this picture, it reminds me of an area I always love going through in NFS Rivals and smashing the fences. I so so SO can't wait to do the same here in Forza Horizon 2! :D

Oh yeah, did anyone noticed the Forza (F) logo is like Forza 5's too? :)

I'm not a big fan of Forza, but I would like to see what they can do with this Southern Europe map.

Updated the first post with new info.
"9. You can walk around other club members cars and purchase cars, tunes, or liveries."

Oh wow it truly is like the TDU2 race lobby. Sounding more and more like TDU2. That is excellent news on many levels!

Also you forgot another important detail in the first post.
  • Destructible environments. :)

It's about damn time. I can at least commend them for starting to move forward.
I agree. Its about dang time!!!

Just need a casino in the south of France part now ha.
I agree 100% but that's very unlikely in Horizon 2. That's one of my favorite features in TDU2. In fact I never had any interest in card games or casinos until I played the Casino in TDU2. Now I have won the level 4 poker tournament in TDU2 at least 20 times. Hopefully GTA5 will also get a Casino soon.

Rob Da Bank did a pretty good job on the music selection last round *hums Silversun Pickups' Lazy Eye* but the lack of static replay viewpoints was disappointing. Hope they fix that this time around.

I would like cars new to the series like the ones they added in 5. Sure I would like some of the cars from the other games but not all of them.
