Yeah it would be cool if Horizon included some original tracks, maybe we can visit Camino Viejo.
Now that is a killer idea but I wont get my hopes up. I am already more pumped for Horizon 2 than I ever was for Forza 5. My purchase decision will depend on the size of the map and the amount of cars we get at launch. 360 Version. Destruction is great news for sure.

Holy 🤬.

As much as I'd be tempted to get the 360 version because of the significantly lower outlay involved, I can't help but think the two will be pretty different. There's no way we'll get anything even close to these visuals on there, and unless it ships on two discs, I doubt we'll get as many cars.

Er, wait, the 360 one will be based of FH/FM4? That opens the doors to a lot of cars we haven't yet seen on the One...

:D

YES exactly! If they are using the F4 engine we have the potential to have almost 700 cars!!! If they confirm that all the cars from F4 are in Horizon 2, I will pre order the game asap for the 360.

I think you are onto something about the X1, if they are porting that from F5, it will most likely have less cars for sure. I would prefer more cars by a longshot over graphics in an offroad game.

I'm pretty sure both versions will have the same cars no matter what game they're from.
I guess we will see. I wont get my hopes up. That could be good or bad.

With open wheel cars that have either no roof or a canvas panic roof, I hope they don't model them with them up. Let the Caterham driver get wet!

Anyway, that's the whistle for the hype train, I'm on it.

I seriously doubt that any cars will be exclusive to the 360 version, it'll have the same car list, or a watered down version of the XBONE version's.

Still, a few of the cars that didn't make their way over to the new consoles would be nice.

Thinking about the number of rally cars that have been added to 5 with the rally parts, if it doesn't feature from the off, I'll be amazed.

Oh boy, the next few months are gonna be tough. There's no games other than this, The Crew and Fifa that are on my list right now, but this is the major one.

I think you are right and that's what I hope does NOT happen. That would mean we will only have a couple hundred cars like F5.

I think their repetition of the line, "hundreds of cars" nearly confirms that.

How many cars were there in the first Horizon?

OH

What if Rally di Positano is a thing here?

Those first two shots certainly look like a re-jigged version of it. Alongside a compressed version of the Amalfi coast?

At the very least, I'd expect it to extend all the way up past Tuscany to the Ligurian coast, or the French Riviera. Maybe even the skirting the Italian and French Alps. Being able to reach all the way to the east coast of the Italy would be great too, so long as it doesn't take a minute to do so.

maybe we can visit Camino Viejo.

Huracan shot #2 reminded me an awful lot of the first left hander at Camino Viejo. Aside from the barrier having a different design.

I'll be getting the current gen version but it'll be interesting to hear impressions from those who get the Sumo port. Their reputation for racing ports is pretty impeccable as I understand it.

Bit strange that they haven't really spoken about the 360 version yet; then again, it isn't really the priority of a lot of gamers right now. At least they admitted it would run on the Horizon 1 engine and not just leave it vague until a day before launch, like EA's dire Wii ports of NFS games.

After being disappointed with Forza 5 for reasons I won't get bogged down in, I have to say that I'm feeling positive for this! Love that they ditched the weird visual 'filter' the first one had (basically looked like everything was made to stand out more; almost like it was Photoshopped). Car list should be pretty good, now that 5s been bumped up with loads more rebuilt cars. Plus, Europe can get anything imported and registered, so it'd be more realistic seeing something like a Pontiac in Italy, as opposed to a Peugeot 206 in Colorado like in the first game. Stupid observation I know, but it kind of threw me off having stuff there that you wouldn't have or see.

GRID Autosport, The Crew, and now this! My bank account will be hit hard! :sly:

I will be surprised if we hear much or any information at all about the 360 version. When Titanfall came out for the X1 and 360 there was NO information AT ALL about the game. No videos, not even a single picture of the 360 version. Nothing. Luckily it was still a great game on the 360. Just graphically quite a bit worse.

So I wouldn't expect to see or hear much about the 360 version.

Using the same engine, I have a feeling that might still be included.

Didn't know there was a 360 version of Titanfall. :boggled: Guess that proves your point. At least the 360 is still a pretty current system, barring a few tech specs, so I wouldn't suspect that much of a difference apart from visuals as you say. I don't see why it'd be totally different like FIFA 14 on PS2 or whatever.

Using the same engine, I have a feeling that might still be included.

I meant the Xbox One version - that looks jaw-dropping. Better than 5 from what I can tell! Saying that though, the weird, bright filter on the first one did seem to be just that; a filter. The Rally expansion pack took it off for whatever reason and made it seem more natural. Kind of like Forza 4, but better in some areas.

"We’ve taken the view that, if there isn’t a barrier in the real-world, if there isn’t a wall, there shouldn’t be one in our game... So that means that not only is the world of Forza Horizon 2 bigger than the one in Horizon, it also has three times more driveable area; a three-times bigger play space. Which means that you’re no longer constrained to the road. You can take the road, or you can hoon off it, through a fence. Through a vineyard. Through a deep forest or up a hill. Suddenly we’re really realising that sense of freedom that people feel is so important to Horizon.”
My biggest issue with the first game has been rectified!

YES!! YES!! YES!!! So they did listen to the majority of the community that complained about the very tiny map and the barriers. Getting closer and closer to TDU2 in a good way. Getting more excited. :) This is getting closer to a day 1 purchase. Now its up to the car quantity. That will be a huge deciding factor for me.

Judging from the pictures and information in that article, we know we're getting:
- Huracan
- Zonda Cinque
- Gallardo Superleggera
- Ferrari F12
- Alfa 8C
- SLS
- Evo X
- STI hatch (on the Evo pic)
- Ford Raptor
- McLaren P1
- Lancia Stratos

Based on that info already, I would hope for a number just below the Forza 5 base game in all honesty. DLC for 5 is still happening, and since some of those listed cars were DLC in that game, there's always the off-shoot chance future DLC cars will be used in FH2 as well. Of course, this is pure speculation, so don't hold me to it.
