Ok...I'm worried about the lack of a first gen MX5. Hopefully they just haven't gotten around to revealing it yet. The FJ40 is an awesome addition though.
Turn 10 please add a Jeep Cherokee XJ too!

I noticed that you separated the FPV cars from Ford... Why was the same consideration not given to the HSV cars? As FPV stands for Ford Performance Vehicles and HSV stands for Holden Special Vehicles, wouldn't you agree that - if Ford and FPV are separate - Holden and HSV should also be separate???

It's like lumping Shelby in with Ford (or VW with Porsche) - not done!

It's a remnant from an earlier version of the list I haven't yet corrected. I kept them separate because HSV is considered separate in FM6, but the official listings for FH3 have so far bundled all the Holden-based models together.

Well, it's the guys behind FH3 that made the mistake then. Sorry for tossing you into the mix with that one!

Can't wait to start painting the Sandman. This is a newer concept of the Sandman but you get my point.

Mechberg responded about the car list blunder

Hi everyone,

As some of you have noticed, there have been some discrepancies between the first two weekly announcements in our Forza Garage series for Forza Horizon 3. In addition, we mistakenly revealed some of our planned cars for next week's edition of the series in yesterday's reveal. Ouch.

So, in an effort to right the ship, I've amended the Full Car List in yesterday's Week 2 edition of the Forza Garage for Forza Horizon 3. I've done my best to make sure the cars in both Week 1 and Week 2 are reflected in this list.

Some of the cars that were meant to be part of Week 3 -- like the Ferrari 166MM Barchetta -- will still be spotlighted next week alongside new images of the cars seen by the Forza world for the very first time. Others, like the Toyota FJ40, will be shown off in future weeks with new screenshots. In addition, we're including some previously unannounced cars in Week 3 to keep things fresh.

I'd like to apologize for any confusion this mistake has caused and I appreciate your patience as we try to correct things. I hope you all enjoy the next few weeks of car reveals -- I know I can't wait to tell you about what's next!

Thanks,
Brian

They have now made it worse FPV is now with ford and HSV is still with Holden.

This is not rite it's like mixing shelby, AC and ford together it's not rite, they are seperate manufacturers

Absolutely not right! If they put Abarth separate from Fiat, RUF separate from Porsche and Saleen separate from both GM and Ford US, then AMG should be separate from Mercedes-Benz, FPV separate from Ford AU, Ford AU separate from Ford US and HSV separate from Holden!

Does it really matter? Its a driving game not a brand game.

To a purist, it matters a lot! If they're going to put cars in brand categories, they should at least put them in the right ones! This ain't some lazy-ass, half-baked game they've just thrown together, a lot of work went into it! Now, they just need to follow through!!

Should the latest Focus RS be kept in a separate Ford EU listing, then?

You've got a point when comparing it to Abarth/Fiat, but Saleen and RUF are very different situations.

There have been issues with manufacturer groupings in Forza for as long as I've been playing regularly (2010-ish). The Viper had a few games before it was sorted properly.

Only for the GT S

And the C63 S. Which, confusingly, keeps the -AMG nameplate for FH3, but the GT S — a car fully engineered by AMG, not relating to any cooking Benz — gets grouped with the rest of -Benz, despite never carrying that badge!

VXR
Which is odd, because AMG are wholly owned by Mercedes now aren't they?

Yeah, but Merc is doing a three-pronged approach now. Mercedes-Benz for the usual lineup, Mercedes-AMG for the sports models, and Mercedes-Maybach for the luxo stuff.

It's very confusing, in much the same way FCA tried to make SRT a standalone brand a few years back (which was also rolled into its "base" manufacturers in-game, except the Viper).
