The M3 GTS in FH4: no Alcantara leather wheel, no rollbar (what you get in the chassis upgrade is quite different and badly textured), no shift lights, no base 3-Series parts (which were in FH1), no colors other than Inca Orange (I think very few not from Individual were built in other colors but not sure).

Playground on the M3 GTS: "AMG LOL"

If I was Daimler-Benz I'd be phoning Microsoft the exact second after this video was first uploaded.

My God, why do I even care. After I saw in this very thread the Corvette ZR1 shipping with Z06 wheels and gauges being treated as a "minor bug" (which came to no surprise considering who said that), all hope is lost for this game.

Turn 10 needs to look at FH4 very closely and do EXACTLY the opposite if they wish FM8 to have any kind of success. That is, attention to car detail and sounds, and fair access to each and every car in the game. Making Forza great again involves sanitizing and/or purging every aspect of Forza Motorsport even remotely related to the mess Forza Horizon has become. Because Forza Motorsport's competition is Gran Turismo and, starved of content as they are, they do treat the bits they get with utmost respect after all. Meanwhile, Forza becomes the laughing stock of the community with Legos and bugs that would make Black Box, Criterion and Ghost Games blush.

And yes, I'm angry because I wanted this car really bad, and, in its current state, it sucks.

You know, you could write to Turn 10 or Playground Games on their Twitter, the official Forza Complaint Thread, or support page and point out exactly what you just said. They fixed another car recently, one of the Mazda's, that had messed up gauges or something. They do listen to stuff like that, as far as I know, so if you bring it to their attention, the better.

What does any of this have to do with replicating colors?

@Mitcho2001 Also, there's a mistake on the chart. Under Ford, you have the color listed as 'Electric Spice' when it is actually called 'Orange Spice'. Thought you'd like to know :)

No, it's actually called Electric Spice. The chart is correct.

The color I added isn’t on the chart. Orange Spice is an entirely different Ford color then. Electric Spice is used on the Ford Edge. The color I made is used on the Ford Focus ST. I didn’t create Electric Spice. Electric Spice is more yellow, and the one I made is a dark orange.

I just realized the color on the chart isn’t even the one I made lol The Orange Spice color I made hasn’t been added to the chart yet. It’s on page 10.

As you can probably tell, I’ve been inactive for quite some time. Kinda been on and off here and haven’t got around to the new colours yet. However, I’ll get onto that today while it’s still on my mind.
I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be inactive for, but I will get around to updating the spreadsheet when new colours roll through. That being said, I apologise for any inconveniences. :(

Would @JaCor653 be able to update the spreadsheet? Does anyone else know how to do it? Just in case you become inactive for a long period of time :) It’s not an inconvenience, buddy. We all have lives outside of Forza Horizon 4 lol

That is definitely possible. It's best if I do share it when I'm away from this, as I do worry and stress about keeping the spreadsheet up to date at times. So, @JaCor653... is this all good with you?

The color for the Ferrari is actually Rosso Mugello not the other color we’ve been doing.

Winter has forced me to take to Horizon 3 to create my colors.

Incidentally, I am having a bit of a hard time with Acura's Thermal Orange Pearl. There don't seem to be many great images of it on Google. It is some kind of two-tone or metallic paint color.

I tried using metal flake as the base, and any values I tried made it look way too metallic compared to my reference image, which if anyone is wondering, is this image:

Acura_NSX_exterior.jpg

Two-tone polished wouldn't work, either. It would make the color way to dark, and honestly, kind of ugly.

@MadaraxUchiha or @Mitcho2001, could you see what you can do with this color?

I can definitely give it a shot today; see if there are any other possible options regarding the paint type.

I'll also see what I can do :) Sorry for the late response, I've been playing Need For Speed: Heat and really enjoying it :D

Hi lads, been trying to recreate this paint in FH4 but I can't quite get it right. Should be Mallard Blue, Metallic Petrol Blue or Profondo Blue Met (visited three used car sites and all had a different name for the same colour ahah). Anyone able to help ? I just really, really dig this colour. Cheers

Could you possibly do Toyota's Barcelona Red Metallic? Surfing through the web, all the colors varied, so this is the best looking one I found. If you have a closer image, please use that.

I don't know if it's because that image is on a sunny Summer day, but when I try to make the color it turns out darker.

The one I came up with matches more with this color from the Corolla:

Also tried switching between Metal Flake and Two-Tone but they are too dark and chromed IMO, so I think Gloss is a close match.

Barcelona Red - Standard/Gloss

0.98R, 0.87L, 0.49L

If anyone can do better, please be my guest.

The image that @st1llsideways posted is actually a great reference image. You need to increase the brightness of the color, you know, so that it is brighter.

The one I came up with matches more with this color from the Corolla

Remember when I said that metallic paint colors look glossy when not in sunlight? I can tell just by looking at this picture that it was cloudy when the picture was taken. You should only use sunny reference images; otherwise, you won't be able to accurately replicate the color.

so I think Gloss is a close match

Except it isn't because the reference image clearly shows the color as metal flake.

Look, here's the thing. If you are going to continue to post colors here, you need to gain practice and common sense. Using gloss paint to recreate a metallic color makes no sense. You had this same problem with your Hyundai paint colors a few weeks ago. @Mitcho2001, @MadaraxUchiha, and I put in the time and the effort to make sure our colors are as accurate as possible. You, on the other hand, just slop something together and call it good. That is not what this thread is for. Do that all you want in the Paint and Designs thread, but don't do it here.

I am not telling you to stop posting here. I am just saying you need to improve your method and your focus, and try harder than you currently are.

I hardly do custom paints, so I don't know the strategies you guys use for a precise replica.

Don't get on me for trying something I'm still learning.

Silly request, but would anyone be able to replicate the blue color from the MC12 FE? I'd love to put it on my MC12 Versione Corsa.

Sorry for 3 images, but this is to show how different the color looks depending on the lighting.

Sorry for 3 images, but this is to show how different the color looks depending on the lighting.

I've kind of already done that. I'll refine the color later today.

EDIT: Maserati makes a similar color in real life called Blu Inchiostro. Do you wnt me to recreate the Forza color, or is the real color close enough?

Ah, sorry. I didn't know that somebody had already done the color. The real color would work for what I'm going for! Thanks. :)

Well, Playground Games didn't perfectly replicate Blu Inchiostro for the MC12 FE. If I replicate the real-life color, it won't perfectly match the fictional in-game color. I would just replicate the color already on the Forza Edition, but it would be diffucult to add it to the spreadsheet since it doesn't have a make or a color name.
