This is how Electrolyte Green looks in real life:

To me it looks like it’s a metal flake type paint.

Is Metal Flake a better option for making Metallic paints or Two-tone Polish? I think the Polish makes it look too shiny.

It honestly depends on the car and what type of paint job it is in real life. Also, I just did Electrolyte Green myself :)

I think these metallic colors from Hyundai have very light flakes, they shine a lot under the sun.

I don't know if it's me, but that looks more "polished" than the reference you showed.

I think I told this to @MadaraxUchiha before, but I think he shouldn't use the Festival showroom to showcase his colors. I rarely buy cars at the Festival since the light exposure in there makes things way too reflective.

It's a video game. Of course it's going to look more 'polished'. It isn't 100% accurate to real life.

I also did the color Crush used on the 2018-2020 Camaro :)

@HyperSpeeder I'm not wasting 10,000,000 just to buy the castle just to take pictures. Also, how the colors turn out is also based on what kind of tv you have and what settings you're using on it. I have a 4K UHD tv so the colors on my tv are probably different than what others are using.

Who said you had to buy the castle? You could do what I did and just take midday shots out in the world.

Not to sound mean or rude or anything, but I don't need your advice honestly. I've been doing this for quite a while now and have made successful replications of various colors. I take the shots in the Festival because I do what works for me. You do what works for you. You see, in the world the light is constantly changing while in the Festival the light source is a constant. I don't have to worry about driving around to find the perfect spot for sunlight just to take a picture. If I feel like I need to drive outside to capture the color with a picture, I do so, and if I don't feel I need to, then I don't. For instance, the Crush color I just posted shows accurately outside while indoors it doesn't resemble it, hence the reason for the outdoor shots I did. Also, I don't *have* to do any of this quite honestly, I do it to help add more colors that are missing from the sheet.

On that note, there is a color that I need help with creating: Tourmaline Violet (BMW)

From what I can tell, it's a metal flake type paint, but other than that this color stumps me. I tried making it but it came out all wrong :(

@Mitcho2001 There's a mistake on the chart buddy. On my color Verde Gea & Oro Electrum you have the color listed as Two-Tone Polished when it's actually Two-Tone Semigloss. Thought I'd point that out lol

I also just made Blu Caelum Metallic (Lamborghini) :)

I'd imagine that Tourmaline Violet would work best using two-tone polished?

It's a stunning colour and a reminder how perfect the E46 M3 shape and detailing was. How I miss that level of elegance from BMW.

@MadaraxUchiha Ok, that's your style, but easy on that criticism thing, we're here to help. :)

Nice Blu Caelum BTW!
I know we’re here to help lol I didn’t mean to come across as mean or rude or anything. Thank you! I really love Blu Caelum and currently have it on my Huracan lol

@VXR I think it’s a metal flake paint. The last picture I posted you can see the metal flakes on it, if I’m not mistaken.

Could you show some reference pics for each color, preferably in sunlight, and also what manufacturer they are? Thanks :)

Giallo Modena and Argento Nürburgring are both Ferrari colors, and Papaya Orange is a McLaren color.

I was planning on doing the first two anyway. I'll move them to the top of my list, and I suppose while I'm at it, I could do the McLaren shade as well. I'll post back here tomorrow with the colors.

It's great to see more colours coming through! For what has been recently added and finalised by you, I've gone and added them to the spreadsheet. Meanwhile, I'll have to go through some of the posts again as there are some colours I haven't got around to doing, due to personal life and activities getting in the way. Hopefully I'll be able to get everything here updated within a day or two, but we shall see where things go...
(The conversation going with the colours from the Veloster has got me to look further into it. I'll review them and make any changes if needed.)
I know it’s matte grey but I think there’s a official Ferrari name for this too

From some very quick research and going back to Ferrari's configurator, that is Argento Nurburgring. To me it looks like Two-Tone Semigloss is the best option, even though it is considered to be a "Metallic" colour by Ferrari. I had a look at several F12's like your provided example and it seems to check out.

I have more colors to share :)

@JaCor653 So, I think Giallo Modena is more of a golden yellow according to these screenshots:

The one you did has a lemon yellow vibe to it. Maybe it was the reference picture you used?

The reference I used was color matching the version of the color that is in the game. I remember now that the version of the color that is in the game is wrong, hence the need to recreate it more accurately in the first place. I'll fix it tomorrow, unless you want to.

The in-game image of the color may also look off due to saturation/color differences among different devices. On my computer, the yellow looks very desaturated, but on my phone, more like it's supposed to, just without the orange hint the real color has.

Yeah, I was saying that earlier about how things look different also depending on what kind of tv you have. Since mine is a 4K UHD things look a lot different than other TVs people are using. I’d love to fix it and see if I can come up with it :)

If I'm not mistaken it's one of the colors affected by the "yellow bug" (also the yellow colors from Porsche and possibly other brands).

Here's Giallo Modena everyone :) I've done 2 versions so I'll need you guys to decide which is the right one.

So I've gone over the colours for Hyundai so far and done a few tweaks here and there, and they look somewhat accurate at the moment. The paint samples I got for them weren't pretty, so I had to "eyeball" the results in the end.

I'll be getting onto some of the new Ford Shelby GT500 colours tomorrow, with the configurator to help me out with the colours that are not yet in the spreadsheet, along with all other colours added from then onward.

I think I'll be going with the first of the two. That has a lot more contrast and is potentially the best result. I'll check it out when I have the time to see what it's like.

Of the five @Gotbeefboy564 posted the other day, three are already in the spreadsheet. The only two you'd need to do are Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Twister Orange; the latter is a solid color, sou you can use the sample from paintref.com. I'm not saying these are the only five colors for the car, but it's a start.

@Mitcho2001 and @JaCor653 I could really use your guys' help creating Tourmaline Violet (BMW). I've been trying to recreate it for over an hour but to no avail :/ :( Here are some reference images of it, though. I hope one of you will have better luck than I did.
