@PlumCrazy010, TAKE THE HINT! You are wrong. Just accept that fact and stop defending yourself. The color is metallic. Are you really going to argue about what kind of paint is best used to make a color in a video game? You are clearly wrong, and continuing to plink the same note on the keyboard won't magically make you right. As @MadaraxUchiha said, this is getting tiresome and it's frustrating me that you keep going on and on about this. You make good colors, and the folder you made with images of all of the colors is helpful, but this is just not right. If you keep this up, @MadaraxUchiha and I may feel the need to ask you to stop posting here. We don't want things like this to happen. It's not professional and it's not mature. If you think the color should be two-tone polished, then good for you. You think whatever you want. The color is metallic. End of conversation. I don't want to hear anything else about this from you, and I am sure that @MadaraxUchiha doesn't, either.

Where is it? I
How did you unlock it already?
Hi, quick question. Is the "chart" a physical chart or is everything scrambled in the forum? I'm looking for the Ferrari Azzuro California and I only see the request message for it and I can't find the color code. This actually is identical to my real life 50th anniversary BRZ and I'd like to use it in FH5. If you could link me to it or tell me where to find it, it'd be much appreciated it

The link to the spreadsheet is at the top of the first post of this thread.

Has McLaren's Borealis been considered?

I'm just double checking here before I make the request. (or I can try and make it but get mixed results)

I'll do it later tonight.
Thanks - I tried it earlier, but I ended up getting both a headache and a memory leak.

Edit: I would love to learn how you guys do your paints correctly because mine seem to constantly turn out a mixed bag.

In terms of how we make colors, @MadaraxUchiha, @Mitcho2001, and I all have our own methods. There are many websites and programs that allow you to get color values from an image, but some require a conversion so that the numbers match Forza's system. I use this website, which I've used to find the values for every color I've ever made. In this post, I explain how to identify the base color and the flake color for metallic colors. Beyond that, it is just a matter of practice, trial and error, and sticking with it. When Madarax, Mitcho, and I started this, our colors weren't very good. In my case, I've been doing this for about 4-5 years. Your colors may not be perfect at first, but the key is to keep trying, keep replicating colors, and not giving up if things don't look right.

Oh, my favorite words of "trial and error" right there.

I'll take any feedback I can get though, so I appreciate it.

P.S - Comparing notes:

Ford's Grabber Lime - is there a reason why the St. Patrick's Day Grabber Lime (which I presume is exclusive to the 2020 MY GT500) have a normal version of the same paint with the 2020 Mustang part of the normal version according to the notes?

There are three versions of Grabber Lime, which I showed off on the previous page to settle the matter once and for all. In 1971, Ford Motor Company sold the color with paint code I with a few different names on various Ford and Mercury models. Then, in 2020, Ford brought the color back for the Mustang GT500, with paint code F9; this version has since been made available on other Mustang models. Also in 2020, Ford produced a special, non-production metallic version of Grabber Lime for a St. Patrick's Day promotion. @MadaraxUchiha requested that his version of the F9 version stay in the spreadsheet, and I honored that request. I just put my values for the other two versions of the color in the public spreadsheet, closing the case on Grabber Lime.

Is it ok to request an update to Plum Crazy from Dodge to better suit FH5 if not no big deal
It's already been requested and on the sheet.

Dodge Plum Crazy Metal Flake 0.74 R 0.80 L 0.45 L 0.75 R 0.78 L 0.77 L Paint Code C7
Dodge Plum Crazy Metal Flake 0.72 L 0.68 R 0.50 R 0.71 L 0.49 R 0.89 L Paint Code PHG/FHG

Word of advice: Control/Command + F goes a long way.

I know its on the sheet I requested an "update" for FH5 due to the difference in lighting and graphics

speaking of colors that need to be updated, i've made Millennium Jade more accurate for FH5 sort of

it isn't the most accurate but i tried

Another clarification:

Porsche's Carrera White, I'm assuming that's non-metallic when it was made because you weren't convinced it was a metallic... right?

Since when was Carrera White metallic? When I did it back in July 2020, I didn't notice anything about it being metallic. Plus, if I had done it using metallic paint, the white would have been too silvery and not white enough. If you want to do a metallic version, then go ahead. If you think you can do it better, then do it yourself. Also, your words make it sound as if I did something wrong by reproducing a color wrong in a video game. If you think there is a mistake or an opportunity for improvement, don't just say "There's a mistake;" actually fix the mistake. If you are not willing to solve the problem, then don't bring it up.

I think the confusion might be from Porsche's end. "Carrara White" (yes it apparently is carrara, not carrera, just to make things even more confusing lmao) was a colour available on the 997 generation 911 and it was indeed a solid colour. However if you buy a new Porsche now in Carrara White you will actually get Carrara White Metallic which is a different colour with different paint codes. I haven't been able to find any photos of a CW car next to a CWM car but I did find a Rennlist post of a CW 997 GTS next to a base White 991 Turbo: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3...rrera-white-vs-base-white-2.html#post14914810

I'm sorry, the tone was incorrect of me to say. But I was reading Porsche's brochure on the 911 Speedster and it said Carrera White Metallic.

Edit: Romeo, you are a lifesaver XD

I've been playing Horizon 4 again and wanted the game's Lotus Elan in black. But with the stripe and lettering, which disappear with custom colors, so I recreated them, and I am going to import them to Horizon 5 too. I though about recreating the colors this car had in Gran Turismo 2, could someone make the colors? I looked up them on one of the websites from the first post...

GT2's Dark Gray didn't have an equivalent, I thought it was black, so maybe Black?

Red and Yellow are in-game, but maybe could be recreated more accurately:
Pale Yellow should probably be Lotus Yellow, which is already in the chart, so no need to do it. Red started in '72 with Regency Red.

Chrome Orange, I didn't find on the website. There are only the colors "Colorado Orange" and "Firecracker Orange".

British Racing Green is in the chart.

All that's left is Indigo Blue, which I didn't find on the website... It started with French Blue, then there was also Oxford Blue, and starting in '71, the exact year of the model from Forza and GT2, Lagoon blue. Although none of them seems as dark as it was in GT2, and I did find it on a different Lotus in another website.

L20_IndigoBlue.jpg

The ones I thought about were blue and green,so if someone could at least recreate Indigo Blue for me, I'd be very grateful.

Comparision between stock logos and mine:

Still could improve though...

I'll do it tomorrow.

EDIT: I would like to see the Lotus car list expanded in FH5. Cars such as the Europa, MkI Esprit, Mk5 Esprit, Eleven, 2-Eleven, and others should really be brought back to the game.

EDIT 2: I just replaced a mystery set of values for Ford's Velocity Blue Metallic with an improved set of values. The old values were not accurate, and they were the same for the base and flake. I think this was a color that @Mitcho2001 created before this thread. It's strange, though, because I also created a version of that color before this thread was started. I am surprised I didn't post it here when I first started participating in this project.

With the coming cars such as the F8 and the SF90. Can I request 'Rosso Ferrari F1-75' paint to be considered?

Mercedes-Benz
Crystal Antimony Grey Metallic

Nissan
Blue Pearl (1998 Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car; There is already a Blue Pearl color in the spreadsheet, under Nissan. This color is different. I could not find the actual name of the color. I doubt Nissan even named it since they only made one car in the color. "Blue Pearl" is essentially a stand-in name.)

Porsche
Liquid Metal Silver (2015 Porsche 918 Spyder signature color)

Toyota

@MadaraxUchiha, this is a color that you said long ago you weren't satisfied with, and that someone else could make another attempt at the color. All this time later, here it is. As always, I'll hold off on adding it to the spreadsheet until you give the go-ahead.
