I tried this one out, it doesn't look as much as the real one (the blue highlight is a little too strong), but it doesn't look bad, I'd leave it as Saléve Vert and wait for @MadaraxUchiha 's version.

Btw, I got my own little version, but need your opinions on it

Two-Tone-Polish
Lowlight: 0,49L, 1,00R, 0,32R
Highlight: 0,22R, 0,52L, 0,25R
Mine is already on the chart under Aurora Diamond Green Metallic. Also, please keep in mind that the colors aren’t 1:1 recreations. We do the absolute best that we can to make them as close to the real colors as possible but don’t expect perfection or exact recreations. It is a game, after all.

Hey guys! I hope all is well! I just want to preface this by apologizing for not being as active as I'd like to (been taking time off to seek therapy). On the contrary, I've also been taking time to further learn how to make colors in Forza and it's been a fun process! So today, I'm here to share one of several colors I've been working on: Mercedes-Benz's Graublau (DB166)

Mercedes-Benz Graublau
Material: Normal
Hue: 0.55L
Saturation: 0.08R
Brightness: 0.67L

@TheTKaZ and @MadaraxUchiha, here is my final version of this color. I have decided that two-tone polished is the best way to go for this color, and that metal flake really doesn't produce an accurate result. I know this is counterintuitive because it is a metallic color in real life, but that's just how it goes sometimes. I made this newest version of the color a little brighter and more saturated, and I made the hue of the flake a little more teal-colored.

Salève Vert / Aurora Diamond Green Metallic (BMW)

Paint Material:
Two-Tone Polished
  • Lowlight: 0.38R, 0.60L, 0.72L
  • Highlight: 0.55L, 0.62L, 0.66R

Since Salève Vert and Aurora Diamond Green Metallic are the same color, I think whoever's values from now get added to the spreadsheet should be added for both colors. That way, there is only one set of values associated with the color.

@Ty-Ahmaud, good start on Graublau. I think you should bump up the saturation a little. What image did you use as a reference? This is a good one that shows the color well.

Just delete the values I did and add yours :) I think you made a typo because the hue in lowlight is definitely not 38. Did you mean something else? I tried it and the color is a bright green :/

I used thisreference photo that has the car out in the sun.

@MadaraxUchiha, those values are accurate. Do note that I used two-tone polished. Metal flake would produce a brighter color. I don't know why your game would show a different color than what the values are supposed to produce, but I copied them down properly. You can even see the 38-hue green in the images I posted. I'll add my values to the appropriate places in the spreadsheet.

In case you want them, here are your old values for Aurora Diamond Green Metallic:

Paint Material: Metal Flake
  • Lowlight: 0.53L, 0.30R, 0.13L
  • Highlight: 0.48L, 0.26R, 0.22L

@Ty-Ahmaud, based on your reference images, I would say that your replica is accurate. I'll add it to the spreadsheet.

Hello, I am new here to this forum, but I have been using the spreadsheet since FH4
I have a few questions. Do you use the Chis-Hill.co.uk website to get the color values still, or is there somewhere else you get them?
How do you determine whether to go with Metal Flake/Two-Tone etc? And when you are "eyedropping" a paint color, do you take a dark section for the low lights and bright section for the highlights?
I would love to start contributing some of my own "custom" colors as well colors I have found through instagram etc.

I still use the Forza Color Picker for every color that I make. @MadaraxUchiha and @Mitcho2001 don't, but I find that it still works. Metal flake is the way to go 98% of the time, although there are exceptions like that BMW color that @MadaraxUchiha and I were discussing yesterday. As for picking the values, it is best to use a dark area of the paint for the lowlight and a bright area for the highlight. You can certainly post some replica colors here. If they're good enough and not already in the spreadsheet, one of us will add them to the spreadsheet.

I’m going to say that if you’re going to replicate ‘custom’ car colors, they won’t be added to the chart. What we do here is add actual car manufacturer colors to the chart, not some random Instagram influencer car color they decided to paint their car. The chart will become way more bloated than it already is if we start doing that. You’re more than welcome to share your designs on the game itself, though, or open a separate thread on this site about custom colors.

Yep, they are indeed different colors :) The production version is different than the car show version.
That reminds me of what Audi did with Jet Blue Metallic. For the Le Mans quattro concept, the color was called Jet Blue; then, for the production Audi R8, the color was renamed to Jetblau. The actual color of the color was also changed slightly. Same story here, except the change in color is more dramatic.

EDIT: I just added another color to the spreadsheet. It's the color from the 2022 Toyota Sports EV Concept. The color does not have a name, so I have just called it "--." I also updated the Toyota color Ablaze to be more accurate. However, there is a thing with that. If you Google the color, you will find a bunch of images that show a bright, almost pure red. That is not how the color looks. In real life, the color is slightly desaturated and has a slightly orangeish tint. I recreated the color based on images that I took which show the color accurately.

Also, @Mitcho2001, could you remove the Cerberus Purple poll? It is from two years ago, it served its purpose, and I don't think it's necessary anymore.
I'll get in contact with the admins about this, as I'm unable to delete the poll myself; only edit the options and voting choices. But yeah, it's definitely not needed now.

Just like @JaCor653, I'm still using this tool as it's the only one I know of. He's also gone over how the lowlights and highlight values are picked, so there's nothing for me to add to that.

I should clarify. They are mostly Porsche Exclusive Paint-To-Sample colors or other special one-off paint-to-sample colors. I.e. verde franscesca 488 pista

In that case, a lot of those colors are already done and in the spreadsheet. You can post here for feedback, but don't count on a lot of your color being added to the spreadsheet.

Here are some proposed color updates. Azzuro Thetys Metallic is the only new color. For some reason, some of the screenshots slightly darken the new color. They are much closer to the real thing in game than the image portrays, especially the Tiger Eye Yellow.

8.8-3.jpg
(Porsche) Ice Blue Metallic - Metal Flake | 0.64L 0.21R 0.38R 0.57R 0.25R 0.95R

8.8.jpg
(Porsche) Golden Yellow Metallic - Metal Flake | 0.11L 0.84L 0.60R 0.12R 0.68R 0.88L

8.8-2.jpg
(Acura) Tiger Eye Pearl Yellow - Metal Flake | 0.10R 0.69R 0.31R 0.12R 0.73R 1.00R

8.8-4.jpg
(Porsche) Azzuro Thetys Metallic - Metal Flake | 0.54L 0.21L 0.51L 0.54L 0.12R 0.92R

8.8-5.jpg
(Porsche) Black Olive - Metal Flake | 0.32L 0.23L 0.25R 0.35R 0.09R 0.39L
This particular color was image dependent. I made it a metal flake so it has the dark tones in it.

These are all already on the chart under their respective manufacturers and won’t be added.

Please go back and read what I said at the top. These are proposed UPDATES to already existing colors. The only one NOT on the chart is Azzuro Thetys Metallic. I provided all the color codes as well as reference photos and a comparison so you can see how they're more accurate. All you have to do is add/change them.

They’re not getting updated. What we have on the chart is accurate. I checked the colors on my tv using the codes we have on the chart already and they look accurate. @JaCor653 will do Azzuro Thetys Metallic, also. You’re welcome to use them for your own personal chart, but we honestly don’t need more collaborators for this. I’ve said this countless times, but we’ve poured hundreds of hours into this chart over the past few years. I think we’re more than experienced at what we do here. I’ve also said that you can’t expect 100% accuracy since it’s a video game and there are many factors that go into it, such as the kind of television or monitor that someone has. I myself have a 4K UHD OLED tv and the colors look fine and accurate on my tv. There are 10,000+ colors on the chart, and we’re not going to go through every one to make sure they’re 100% accurate.

I added a couple of colors to the spreadsheet. @MadaraxUchiha, I've been working on Aurora Diamond Green Metallic, but I just cannot get it to come out right. I don't do this very often, but I think I'll let you see what you can do with it. I know you already did the color, but I think it was a long time ago. I checked your old values that I wrote down on Saturday in a previous post, and they produced a color that was almost black. I'd be interested to see you take a new attempt at this color, and hopefully we can close this case.

Fiat
Rosso Passione (redo; I originally did the color)

Maserati
Blu Passione

Hello! Any chance if someone could make the values for Fords Blue Jeans Metallic?

Sand White Metallic

Porsche

Python Green
