I was looking back through the recent posts, seeing which colors had been added to the spreadsheet, and I noticed a couple of things:
First of all,
@Mitcho2001, your version of Aston Martin's Olive Green from the OHMSS Superleggera is, honestly, not great. I know winter is not the best season for replicating colors, and the Lego Valley paint booth isn't great either, but your color just isn't accurate. Sorry if I sound harsh, and I don't want to say or do anything that makes it sound like I am better that anyone else here. I took a crack at Olive Green myself, and this is what I came up with:
Original Replica:
Reference Image:
New Replica:
Olive Green (Aston Martin)
Paint Type: Metal Flake
- Base Color: 0.08R, 0.18L, 0.26R
- Flake Color: 0.18R, 0.17R, 0.54R
I won't add this to the spreadsheet yet, until people give feedback on which one they think is better.
Secondly,
@MadaraxUchiha, someone a long time ago did Mercedes-Benz's Jupiter Red. This color is very confusing, because based on the year, it seems to be either metallic or gloss. PaintRef lists it as being gloss, like your version, from 2009-2017, and metallic, like the version in the spreadsheet, from 2018 onwards. Neither replicated version is wrong; it just depends on the year. I'll add your gloss version into the spreadsheet, as it hasn't been added yet, and make a note of the paint type difference.
EDIT: I was adding the rest of the paint colors to the spreadsheet, and I noticed there was some, um, funky stuff going on with some Mitsubishi colors. They were entered in without Ls or Rs on their values. This led me to redo the colors:
Lightning Yellow (Mitsubishi)
Paint Type: Normal (Gloss)
- Paint Color: 0.13R, 0.78L, 0.95L
Medium Purple Mica (Mitsubishi)
Paint Type: Metal Flake
- Base Color: 0.68L, 0.28R, 0.47R
- Flake Color: 0.69R, 0.23L, 0.81L
Reims Blue (Mitsubishi)
Paint Type: Normal (Gloss)
- Paint Color: 0.62L, 0.84R, 0.73L
