Could I possibly get Ford's Millenium Yellow, please?

It seems like a tricky colour to shoot, as most of the pictures make it look over-saturated. These two represent it quite well.

Looking to do the Puma and Focus RS Millenium editions.

Eggyolk Yellow (Ford)

Paint Material:
Normal (Gloss)
- Paint Color: 0.13R, 0.65L, 0.99R

Ford’s Eggyolk Yellow was called Zinc Yellow by Mercury. Ford also used the name Zinc Yellow. Zinc Yellow was used for the 1999-2000 Puma and Focus RS special editions.

After quite a long absence, here's another colour drop. I'm taking a break from the colours I've been wanting to redo, now working on getting more colours under specific manufacturers instead. Back a long way in this forum, I recreated Koenigsegg's Racing Green and remained to be the only colour from the Swedish marque for some time. Though since then, two more colours, Burgundy Red and Jesko Absolut Grey, have been added. Now it's time to expand that list even more! So this is just a batch of Koenigsegg colours, pretty much from the Regera and its different variants, in other words.
(Thanks, university... :grumpy:)

Koenigsegg
Koenigsegg - Arctic White.png

Arctic White
Paint Type:
Standard
Hue: 0.00 L
Saturation: 0.00 L
Brightness: 0.95 R
As far as I have read, this is only a colour used in the company's "Polar" striping package for the Regera, which I discovered in a list of Regeras made to the specs of Koenigsegg's employees, and is one of many which I found from that list alone.

Koenigsegg - Battleship Grey.png

Battleship Grey

Koenigsegg - Blue-Tint Carbon Fibre.png

Blue-Tint Carbon Fibre
Paint Type:
Carbon Fibre Polished
Hue: 0.57 R
Saturation: 0.64 L
Brightness: 0.77 L
The first of six carbon fibre colours, this is more or less a secondary colour which can be found on the Regera d'Elegance.
(I found out the hard way that using Carbon Fibre Polished as the paint type is a bit of a pain, hence the exaggerated brightness values for those which are coloured.)

Koenigsegg - Burgundy Carbon.png

Burgundy Carbon
Paint Type:
Carbon Fibre Polished
Hue: 0.97 R

From the research I did when making these colours, this is only a colour used for highlights. I imagine that it's the same orange used for the One:1's highlights.

Koenigsegg - Crystal White.png

Crystal White
Paint Type:
Metal Flake

Hue:

Koenigsegg - Gold Leaf.png

Gold Leaf
Paint Type:

Saturation: 0.56 R
Brightness: 0.89 R
I purposely have left the base and flake values the same as Metal Flake seems to be the only paint type that works best when it comes to representing this colour. I tried with Aluminum Polished but looked far too reflective, and so too did Two-Tone Polished. There seems to be no middle ground, so it was one or the other.

Koenigsegg - Green Carbon.png

Green Carbon
Paint Type:
Carbon Fibre Polished
Hue: 0.43 L
Saturation: 0.54 R
Brightness: 0.94 R
The inspiration behind the colour itself was British Racing Green, as Koenigsegg say, while this has been named as the Regera 'Malin'. Turns out this is also a one-of-one colour. A rather unique one, at that.

Koenigsegg - Horizon Blue.png

Horizon Blue
Paint Type:

Base
Hue:

Another one-of-one colour, which apparently took forty-two layers of paint and clearcoat after twenty-five tries to create.

I tried with Aluminum Polished but looked far too reflective, and so too did Two-Tone Polished. There seems to be no middle ground, so it was one or the other.

For the metal flake paint type, the normal thing to do is to have base brightness lower and the flake brightness higher. However, doing the opposite of that causes the paint to "break" and be less metallic-looking. I'll try this color using that trick and post here with the results.

That's awesome, thank you.

@GTvsForza is that Semi Gloss or Two Tone Semi Gloss you've used for those Crayola colours?

All are Semigloss/Two-Tone.

You can also use Matte to make it look more crayon-ish, but it's anyone's preference.

Liquid silver looks very nice, cant wait to put it on the Senna, thanks mate

@VXR, I've been doing some research on the Ford Puma and Focus RS Millennium editions. Apparently, they were painted Zinc Yellow and not Millennium Yellow. Millennium Yellow is not a real color. When I was doing that color, I thought it looked familiar. I was right; there is a Zinc Yellow Focus (not an RS) that someone down the street from me owns. I live in the United States. I did Zinc Yellow a long time ago, and it is in the spreadsheet. Because of this, and the fact that there is no such thing as Millennium Yellow, I will not be adding that color to the spreadsheet. I feel that my recent version of this color is more accurate than the old version, so I'll replace the values and mention all of this in the post. @MadaraxUchiha, you did Zinc Yellow way before I did Eggyolk Yellow, and they are the same color. How should we handle this? We now have three versions of the same color in this thread. Maybe @Mitcho2001 could set up another poll with the different versions of the color?

Here is yours:

There’s no need for a poll. Just use your values since that’s the direction you’re heading in any way. I’m not going to argue about it or get into it.

But you had the color in here first. Sure, I've done two versions, but they were both after your version. All three versions are pretty much equally accurate, although my first version is a little off. I can't decide whether your version or my second version is more accurate, and, as I've said, you did it first. I don't need my version to be the one that gets added to spreadsheet. In fact, I think your version should be applied in all situations.

I can't decide whether your version or my second version is more accurate, and, as I've said, you did it first. I don't need my version to be the one that gets added to spreadsheet. In fact, I think your version should be applied in all situations.
If you think my version is the one that should be applied in all situations, then we can do that. Zinc Yellow and Eggyolk Yellow just need to have the same values on the chart.

My apologies, I didn't realise Ford had sourced it from elsewhere in its stable and figured they would have called it Millennium Yellow based on it being only used on 3 limited editions.

Crayola Colors Part 6
You can use either Semigloss or Matte (I used Matte here)

@JaCor653 What’s your reverse brightness trick? I want to make custom colors from paints that aren’t actual car paints, but when it comes to making the flake I don’t know what to do :( The values I have are just from the color itself so there’s no flake value and I have to end up using the same values for both -.- Which, as we both know, is wrong because a metallic paint job differs greatly between base and flake.

Usually for a metallic color, the flake is brighter than the base. However, doing the opposite, making the base brighter, causes the paint to "break" and less vivid and metallic than it would be otherwise. This is because the two layers are not "formatted" properly as I described. I've done it a few times here with various colors. Sometimes, that's what you have to do to get an accurate replica.

That's how I do my two-tone Crayola colors. Black W/ Glitzy Gold for example. The base color should be black, but it's actually the gold shine on the car.

Maybe it was just those pictures @DEMONATOR4556 posted. I guess I do remember seeing pictures of Shmee's one and it being painted a solid color.

EDIT: Did you ever do Chevrolet's Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat? I found some new C8 Corvette colors to do, and that is one of them. I ask because the color is in the spreadsheet, as a two-tone polished color, and back in November, you said you had it on your list. However, I can't find a post in this thread where you actually did the color. I used the forum search function and everything. If you did it, I'll let it be, but if you haven't, can I?

@MadaraxUchiha did you happen to see my inquiry from yesterday about whether or not Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat was still available to do?
