i use the spreadsheet all the time and the colors always look great and i wanted to thank everyone who puts the work in to make these awesome color matches:tup:

now i wanted to paint my 720s in volcano yellow and saw that it was made as a normal color, but it should be metallic. it's pretty hard to catch on pictures but if you look very closely especially in videos or real life it's clearly a metallic color.

could somebody please try to make a better match?:)

here would be a video to see it:

Coincidentally, Destroyer Gray is a gloss color and is also used on the Chrysler 300 and is called Ceramic Gray by Chrysler :)

Could I possibly get Ford's Millenium Yellow, please?

It seems like a tricky colour to shoot, as most of the pictures make it look over-saturated. These two represent it quite well.

Awesome thank you!

@JaCor653 I just wanted to point out that you deleted the version of Burnt Amber (Ford) I had on the chart and added your own values for that Bronze paint you recently did :(

I did Burnt Amber way back on March 15th and if you don’t mind I’ll put my version back on the chart.

As we just discussed the other day, you didn’t let me know before changing/deleting my version like I did a long time ago with Synergy Green.

I don't remember there being a Burnt Amber (Ford) in the spreadsheet. If it had been there, I would have seen it and not replaced it. I'll check the edit history of the spreadsheet, and if you did have a version of that color in the sheet, you can have it back.

EDIT: I went back and looked at your post, and I noticed two things:

1. You also did Arcadian Blue before me, but it must not have been added to the sheet. I would say our versions are equally accurate, so I give this to you because you did it first. Again, if it were there, I'd've seen it and not replaced it. I'll add your values to the sheet in place of mine tomorrow.

2. I believe your Burnt Amber is off. I am typing this on my phone, so I really can't go into great detail until tomorrow. Anyway, your rendition is too dark and brown. My multi-named Bronze/Burnt Amber is much more accurate. I'll have a comparison up tomorrow.

I don’t remember the reference pic I used since it was so long ago, but I wish you still would’ve at least checked the chart or searched the forum to make sure one of us hadn’t previously done it, as you’ve asked me to do and I’ve been adhering to :(

Edit: So the reference picture I used back then was this one, hence why it turned out the way it did:

8250D7FD-3F2E-44DF-AD51-840D7FF88FC2.jpeg

In regards to this reference picture, the color is accurate. However, I will say I’m not going to say anything else about it and yours can stay on the chart. Just please next time before you do colors make sure to check the chart or search the forum to see if they’ve already been done, that way we can avoid situations like this.

Can someone do impact red from Toyota
That's a really bad reference picture, but I'll do it nonetheless and see if I can find a better, clearer picture :)

Edit: So I did a quick Google search for more pics of Impact Red, and I couldn't find anything at all. Are you sure that's the correct name of the color or is it called something else? Impact Red didn't bring up anything when I searched for it so I don't think that's the real name of the color.

Edit 2: A reverse image search shows that's a 2007 Toyota Camry, and the only red color available for that year according to PaintRef was Barcelona Red Mica, which is already on the chart. That's the color you're looking for :)

In regards to this reference picture, the color is accurate. However, I will say I’m not going to say anything else about it and yours can stay on the chart. Just please next time before you do colors make sure to check the chart or search the forum to see if they’ve already been done, that way we can avoid situations like this.

I remembered you had done other '68 Mustang colors, and I checked the spreadsheet for those. That's why I did the Mercury version of that one color instead of the Ford version. I admit that I don't always use the forum search function, especially if I am in a hurry or it is late at night or early in the morning and I'm not thinking about it. Thanks for letting me keep my version of Burnt Amber in the sheet. It does make sense from a continuity standpoint, so that all versions of a color have the same values. With that having been said, I'll replace my Arcadian Blue values with yours in the sheet.

EDIT: I have replaced my values for Arcadian Blue with yours in the spreadsheet. Sorry I never added them when you originally made that post. On another note, here are my reference images for Bronze/Burnt Amber:

I did see your reference image when I did my Google searching.

If you’re doing the color @JaCor653, don’t use those reference pics as they don’t show good lighting so the color will end up looking different as we’ve seen plenty of times.

You know what? I didn't ask for your help, and I don't need your help. I have been doing this long enough to know how to identify an adequate reference image.

I, too, tend to recreate colors of cars I see around town. Escpecially now that it is summer (in real life, of course), the sunny weather really highlights some interesting colors. When I can, I try to stop and take my own reference image, but that's not always possible. It's enjoyable because these people's cars are painted in colors I might not have otherwise done, but I see them and I'm like, "Okay, I'm doing that color."
