Yeah, there were official screenshots and videos with them being released up until about a month before the game released. I'm guessing the fact they're still in the latest dev build means they're holding out hope that a deal can be worked out with Mitsubishi. (I think it's safe to say the Toyota ship has sailed, struck an iceberg and sank with no survivors save for the Arctic Trucks and the Ironman Stewart baja truck.)

If their remarks "coming soon" are referring to Mitsubishi, they probably already have a contract with them.
I guess they have intentionally made Evo appear in this streaming.
There was rumor that Mitsubishi wanted to add SUV to FH4.
Therefore, they may have obtained their license in response to Mitsubishi's request.
And if that was true, that SUV will be released as a free DLC for promotion like FH2 MX-5 pack.

Looking back at what was said, the dev didn't really say "coming soon" in reference to Mitsubishi (unless I'm looking at the wrong part), just to the dev build features in general. Mitsubishi was never mentioned really, and of course people are going to jump to conclusions. Shouldn't have been shown by PG really to avoid confusion but yeah I think Mitsu are still a no go for the foreseeable future.

Wouldn't the appearance of the Mitsus in the stream, which is meant for the promotion of the game, be construed to be misleading in regards to the contents of said game? (Unless of course, they have reached an understanding which, for the moment, remains privy? Sorry, I love writing in legalese...)

If Mitsubishi does magically appear in game via Fortune Island update, I'll be very happy. But for now, I'll remain skeptical of their inclusion in the recent stream.

There's a few cars announced in there I could do without, but in general everything else is fairly interesting, they cater to pretty much every fanbase and their tastes. Really happy to see the Jarama and another Morgan being added.
I could do without the Camaro and RS200, though. Why not just add the 1LE aero parts to the ZL1 that's already in the game, since the other major IRL difference between the two is suspension tuning and stickier rubber (something that the upgrading system already takes care of!) They're really milking that Hoonigan partnership to the end, the RS200's differences to the one already in game are the livery and the wheels.

Same here, but some people might form a buying decision based on this footage. Not good if people come back asking where to find the content previously promoted in an official post-release stream. In short, amateurish unless it's a tease.

The first post that mentioned it said "Jarma" and I thought it was a misspelling of "Jalpa." Which is a model I'd quite like to have back. But in the meantime I'm very happy to get the Jarama.

Ok so claim the awards and head out and then I noticed what was given to me.

That's a neat list of leaked cars apart from the copy pasted RS200.
Not so sure about locking a "new" car behind a Trial event, considering the completely bugged reward allocation (even after the patch that was supposed to fix that). Hopefully the Mosler be available via other means that doesn't involve having $20mil credits.
