And just to add a cherry on top, the near mythical Ford Capri FE is now available..

As a prize for reaching Grandmaster Rank.

So the players who’ll get there( or are already there via questionable means.) will either be keeping them or auctioning them off for silly amounts.

This Weeks Chevys are a mixed but overall good bag of cars.

The Corvette is Great, doesn't feel over engined and the flappy paddle gearbox is probably the best GM has ever done, a Proper Super Car or what ever the Zr1 would fit into, would probably be a good comparison with a 812 or a GT2 RS speed wise:

The Camaro 1LE is basically a Handling pack, and it's a big upgrade there, shame it didn't go on a diet though, and engine sounds on both these new cars are standard LS though so it's a bit of same old in that department, overall a good car though, might make for a Good Handling S1 Build similar to the M4 GTS:

My pessimistic speculation…There is no Forzathon exclusive car in the Forzathon shop of Season 4, and all of them will be cars like F355 and Iron Knight.

Having only ever seen one 812 Superfast on the auction house with a 20M buyout, I decided it might be more advantageous to spend this week's Forzathon points on Civic CRXs, I've only been able to afford two but I'm hoping if I hold onto them they might be worth something - even just a couple of hundred thousand would be more than I've gotten from a super spin in some time, which now seem to manly give me three green cash drops of 10-45k each.

I'd hold out for a more valuable car if it were me. Unless you have the painter/tuner rank to list them for higher prices the Civic isn't a great return for the points.

Isn't there some thing where if you already have it you see plenty in the auction but if you don't they barely if ever appear.

The same happens to me on the 2018 Cayenne and my friend can see plenty for sale as he already has one.

Sure they aren't looking at the other Cayenne? Not that many 2018 ones come up on the auction house and they get bought out almost immediately if they are not listed for 20m. I have 2 and I don't see them any more often than other wheelspin exclusive cars, if they can see plenty I would tell them to buy them all.

Figures the one week I actually have a stockpile of Forzathon points on hand, the store has two cars I already own - one of which I got in a wheelspin like two days ago. I even own the mustache.

Also, the car prices are higher. 300 FP -> 400 FP, 200 FP -> 250 FP

Who at PG is deciding this stuff and what are they thinking? They put the Volvo Iron Knight on there when no doubt a lot of people have it already since it’s needed to solve one of the treasure riddles. Not to mention it only costs 800k, which isn’t a lot of money, especially when said riddle is one of the last ones, so you’ll have millions of credits already to easily buy the Volvo from the Autoshow. And then on top of that, the prices have increased too.

Disappointing to see this when the Forzathon Shop seemed like it was headed in the right direction last week.

The Forzathon Shop has to be my biggest disappointment with this game. At launch I almost wanted to skip the game because the car list was missing so many cars from FM7, but then the 812 Superfast, 911 GT3 RS, ZR2 and Civic Type-R were announced as Forzathon Shop exclusives. So the shop came across as the channel through which missing cars from FM7 would be introduced to FH4 on a weekly basis. Sure, in recent weeks it also had the CRX Mugen and KTM GT4 (odd addition though), but other than that the exclusive shop offerings have been total letdowns with so many Hoonigans, Forza Editions and now that useless truck. :banghead:

This is the second time soo far they have had the Forzathon car be in the Autoshow, I would suspect they will go for a new car next time.

I was thinking it would be the Shelby Raptor, might be next week.

I'm assuming the Iron Knight is there to allow anyone who didn't own it and didn't want to buy it for credits for whatever reason, to get it for the treasure hunt.

I thought PG confirmed before the game came out, that there were no cars or cosmetics "exclusive" to the Forzathon shop - it would just sell a rotation of stuff that was otherwise exclusive to wheelspins?

Not really the point I was trying to make, but I do remember Ralph Fulton saying in a pre-launch interview at Goodwood that cars in the Forzathon Shop would be one-time exclusive offerings never to be offered again.

I don't remember that, at all, if I'm honest.

I like the truck, it's just too bad that I already own it. The Alfa is new for me so I'm not complaining about that.

Perhaps it was added because of the Fortune Island riddles, so that people don't need to spend CR on a car they'll only use for a single challenge.

While we are all experienced enough to blow through the expansion in a few hours the wider playerbase may not have reached that Treasure Hunt quest yet.

Wish the FT shop was for cosmetics only and we could purchase all cars. Even if I had the time I wouldn't want to play the events they've been serving up for FT points.
I wish it ran how it is now, but have the higher end/more expensive cars on there to still purchase with FT points.

Ok, watch this then:

Listen from 3:40 - “that content will go away forever” while showing all the seasonal offerings.

He said Events, which to me, sounds like races. As he goes on he mentions one of the "events" as the "Trail." I think you may have misunderstood.

I think it'd be interesting if, in the next Horizon game, they made the "Forzathon Shop" the only place you could buy "Forza Edition" cars. You'd still buy them with FP, but they'd be way more expensive, and you'd earn FP by doing activities that required skill (versus the current system, where they are more like group participation awards). Maybe even make those activities part of the weekly churn of events, and award them for winning online adventure events too (or placing top 3).

It'd give players long term goals to work towards, make the FE cars feel MUCH more special and rare out in the world because you had to do a ton of work to "buy" them, and it'd incentivize people to keep playing the multiplayer.

Or here's an idea - make it so the cars are like equipment in an RPG or something, and you can actually pay FP to "raise" the quality of any car you own to a "Forza Edition", either with a random FE perk, or one of your choosing.

Someone get me in touch with PG. I've got ideas. Haha.

Yeah, I could have sworn I specifically remembered Ralph saying the Forzathon shop stuff WOULDN'T be exclusive - it would just be a rotating collection of wheelspin stuff. Can't be bothered to try and find the source of that though.

That's actually what I somewhat remember too. I haven't found anything about it saying that the rewards would never be given again. If that was the case, the vast majority of people wouldn't be able to get most of the cars. Hell, even the people that didn't purchase the Ultimate edition would have been SOL for the first week of vehicles released.

“Event” is very loosely defined when the interiview refers to the monthly schedule while Ralph also refers to it as “content” going away forever. However, probably not Ralph’s fault it was depicted in an ambiguos way.

Considering that even the monthly layouts list the races as "Events", I really don't think it was used loosely and that you may have just associated it to something that it never was. An event is still content, and it does go away and a new one gets replaced every season. Sure, he did say content, but specifically, given the context of that convo was around the events, I would just still think it was a mix up, but not on their end.

Those rare cars are one of the things that make the game a bit more special to me. And a bit of nostalgia of the Gran Turismo used car dealer times.

I smiled a lot when I've got my Crown Vic and now I'm dying for the Austin FX4.

How do you get to the last treasure chest???

I know it's on top of the island, how do you get on the island??

I used the land as a ramp. Somewhat southwest from the spot there should be a decent sized hill.

EDIT: Probably should have put it as a spoiler.
