Can someone tell me who has the Lego expanison, if it's worth buying it or not?
The map is very nice.
You can enjoy different locations depending on the area, as if you were shrinking the map of FH3.
It is especially designed for tarmac events, and it's a good map if you like road racing or drift.

The car list is bad. Yeah, all cars are LEGO.
barn finds too.
Aside from whether you like LEGO, these cars have few upgrade options and are also not suitable for painting.
However, these cars have high performance and easy controls and are very easy to drive.

But perhaps they are planning an update to this extension, as can be seen from their statement that "only 3 cars are available at launch."
Perhaps all cars added with that will be LEGO, but the car list will be a little better.

Played until I got the F40. I like the map, and there feels liken more objectives to complete than Fortune Island. Will be playing more this weekend to unlock the Senna. Also the treasure map helps again for bonus boards etc for those who want to get those out of the way quickly.

I'm definitely liking the challenge board system that the expansion has. One of the things I never really liked about Horizon games is the whole "just go out and do whatever until we tell you that you're making progress" aspect. Having some clear goals to work towards and a structured way to plan out how to earn them feels much better, and I hope it's something they plan to carry over into future games.

Also, not incurring a huge speed loss for crashing through the scenery is much more satisfying too, to say nothing of all the plasticky clattering sounds. I almost feel kinda bad for breaking some of the more complex looking stuff. (okay, not really)

Agreed. It's been obvious since Horizon 3 that the open ended nature of the series has worn thin, and I think they need to reign it back and start adding more structure to it, and the challenges within the board is a nice way to do it.

Brickhampton and Falcon Raceway roads don't show up on the main map but they do on the mini map when in freeroam.
If you zoom in, the roads show up on the main map. Not sure why they disappear when you zoom out.

They made me do it :)

Well that's going to offend some people.
You are probably right, bur I don't understand why anyone would be offended by it as a true racing fan. It's good when an racing game, especially arcade does good numbers to show the publisher around the world that there is still an big audience for this genre.

I know, those aren't copies sold, but still, this proofs that FH4, a racing game no less, is a main driver for gamepass subs and still millions of people bought the game. Great for PG, great for Forza and great for racing fans on any plattform.

I think it's impressive performance and most players are indeed those who bought the game. Game Pass was a only a console thing until last week and the released numbers show most Xbox One owners don't subscribe to Game Pass yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see an FH5 into the 20, 30 million players in the future, which is far more than any traditional exclusive has achieved this gen.

I'd wager on the arcade racing genre having a much bigger audience than any sim. This audience has been brought down by the lack of quality of the usual market leader (NFS) but the most a random person will do to venture into sim territory is Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo. When you bring Forza Motorsport content over to a new open-world game with beautiful graphics and accessible physics, you'll have a hit no matter what.

I'm liking the expansion so far. It's definitely better than Hot Wheels... :D I couldn't enjoy Hot Wheels as much because the physics engine isn't friendly to cars with extreme speeds. I wanted an F-Zero-like experience, instead I was sliding all over the place. Sure I don't like to run Forza aero nor AWD conversion but I think the Hot Wheels tires should've made a difference then, instead they were just reskins of the Race tires.

I just finished the Alien challenges and now finishing off the Exploration challenges. Next will be the the races and the PR Stunts.

I'm guessing that the Goliath will unlock once you finish either your house or every other race.

I completed the LEGO story or whatever the yellow challenge is. The only annoying part is that she wouldn’t shut up. I wish there was a skip feature for when the people talk.

I wish there was a skip feature for when the people talk.

I'm pretty sure racing games are the only ones that haven't caught on to the whole "let people skip the talking" thing - if you can skip entire cutscenes in story-led games and end up completely confused as to who's who and what they're doing, it makes absolutely no sense that you can't skip the monologues in FH4, especially when the gameplay is usually to follow the blue line and achieve the target displayed on the HUD.

Dirt 3 was the same, where it was apparently necessary to explain why you were driving a car (to win rallies, who knew?), and I know there have been others. Even Metal Gear Solid would let you skip cutscenes, just not the CODEC chats.

You may have struck a nerve.

One game i remember where you could remove the dialogues was TDU2, you couldn't skip the scenes which were at the start of EVERY SINGLE RACE, but you could turn the voices volume to mute so at least you could tell Tess to shut up for the entirety of the game

@DJTHEKING yeah I remember that one, as if there's ever been a racing game with less relevant cutscenes and yet you still can't skip them! IIRC your character is a bartender trying to be an actor or an actor trying to be a bartender or something? Riveting.

Anyway, I'm hoping FH5 changes this, "play your way" should mean you can ignore all their justifications for letting you play your way, after all.

Saving my wheelspins I got 6 super wheelspins and 9+ regular ones and I haven’t done the seasonal events yet. I’m at 747 cars.

I don't understand why there isn't an XS Radio logo available as a manufacturers logo when Timeless, Pulse, Bass Arena and Block Party are all available. I'm going to have to make one from scratch if I want to make an XS-themed livery available in the store.

Are the Lego challenges glitched or something? Trying to do the "Smash 100 tables" and it's stuck on five.
I tried that challenge yesterday and only got up to three. It's oddly difficult.
