Much prefer the PSX controllers especially when it comes to the thumb buttons, the joysticks are in a better place too.

Noooooooooo.

Xbox controller is perfection. Staggered stick placement feels perfect. Triggers feel perfect. Buttons feel good. Haptic feedback feels good. The little lip on the sticks, versus the convex sticks on the DS4, feel perfect. Battery life is better, and you can pop in rechargables on the fly.

I can deal with the DS4 when using my PS4, but I would take an Xbox controller in a nanosecond if given the choice.

I'm not able to see the stream from where I am right now - how does the "Eliminator" work?

I struggle to understand what a "Forza Battle Royale" actually entails.

It seems like they nailed the supra sound, it doesn't sound like something already in the game (incredible, maybe one of the rare cars to have a good sound), but my god, the Alpine sounds really awful.
To have seen a lot of them already (living near in the same region as Dieppe helps), I can guarantee you that is doesn't even sound as bad as this.

At this point, I'd just love them to focus one update only on revising and making a lot more accurate the in-game car sounds (even if they just take them from past games), that's really a shame for such a good game to sound that bad

kinda simple... u can race each other and eliminate them b4 u get to the final objective or if u get stuck behind the circle u will lose health then get eliminated ur self. At first u start off with a low level car (d500) and can get better cars by either eliminating the other players through quick races or pick em up on the map each round is 15 minutes with 72 players total

You could avoid players and try to find better car or you could try to win PvP impromptu 1v1 race and grab opponent car/prize car. When final zone shrinks every one will compete in big impromptu race.

The only saving grace with Eliminator for me is that it looks like you can't use your own cars, you have to use the ones they've chosen for you. Good thing is we won't be seeing a bunch of noobs in 4wd swapped 599XXEvos, bad news is you're stuck with whatever they give you.

Fred, do I have to post that GIF of Eeyore sitting in the rain again? Haha.

Eliminator sounds like it could potentially be cool. I'm actually pleasantly surprised it was something more interesting than what I expected, which was a race mode where every lap the last place player gets eliminated.

Not too hot on the Eliminator bit, but I still enjoyed the show nonetheless. At least we don't have to pay for the darn thing like GTS did with its glorified time trials dlc. If it's not too annoying I guess I'll try out, but not to get the Porsche PO (I'm not that desperate :P).

Edit: Guess we can confirm that the leak is real then? The next coming months is going to be exciting, but let's PG doesn't put Eliminator in the playlist. :scared:

I would say the majority of the leaked files will be legitimate but I expect some to possibly be saved for FM8. Plus the pre-launch car list leak that was on Reddit last year had cars like the Valkyrie, AMG One and the legendary Dakar truck. They have yet to materialise.

I'm disappointed they skipped the Alpine GTA Le Mans for a Renault-themed update. It's one among few cars I really want to see back at Horizon! Then seeing something completely random like that Clio Concept taking a spot only makes it worse. Though, I'm glad to have the new Alpine A110, Clio V6, and two additional generations of the Megane R.S.

Also not overly thrilled how they made a big deal of Toyota's return and then only add one car for a whole season. "TOYOTA IS BACK" feels more like Supra is back. I will be holding my breath for some Toyota secrets in the advent calendar, but I probably shouldn't set myself up for another disappointment.

Finally, what happened to Camaro IROC-Z that was teased? It's strange to officially promote a car and then keep it out for who knows how long...

Well ... they will definitely add an eliminator to the Festival Playlist.
As can be seen from the reactions already seen in forums and streaming chats, many players have negatively reacted to the eliminator.
They will be sure to do it in order to lively this mode.
Perhaps a popular car will be chosen as a prize for this mode. They have done it many times in trials. Don't be surprised.
Cars like Huracan Performante and Ferrari Portofino are particularly at risk.

That's true. It will be more exciting to see them in the next Forza anyways, since it will be a new game for us to play come next year with the new console. 👍

Let's not give PG any more ideas shall we. :P
Honestly, I think the Eliminator looks like fun. I'm looking forward to it.
It's especially good knowing we don't need to bring our own into the event, so that's a plus imo. 👍

The Eliminator looks fun and the fact you can't bring your own cars, but I can see people purposely ramming people out of the circle....

I'm thinking maybe the ink was barely dry on their new deal with Toyota when they announced that, and it'll take a little while get whatever Toyota cars they have up to snuff for inclusion - so they decided to focus on getting a single big favourite into the game first.

Coverage/comments about the Eliminator on oither gaming sites seems to be very positive, with a lot of people saying they are going to jump back into the game to try it tomorrow. Also sounds like the press attended an actual event to try out this new mode.

You're probably right. Give some people a chance to ruin the fun and they'll take it. But it seems like it's just a minor setback if you do get pushed out since you have time to drive back in.

Judging by the MotoGamesTV vid of the Supra, it sounds amazing.

That's the opposite of what I have heard, but that is from Facebook, so....

I've seen it go both ways, but most of the naysayers are closed minded folks. I at least give it a try and if I don't like it, hope the Cougar Eliminator is available by some other method.

Provided they don't shove you out far enough to not get back in, but allowing themselves time to get back in, or taking both of you out of the game.

The Supra audio rattles seem too up front and in the face. Makes me wonder if they recorded some modified car, which wouldn't surprise me given how it barely exists in factory form nowadays.

Just avoid the comments on any vid regarding the Supra's sound (I made that mistake myself...)

People on YT seem to think that if it doesn't sound like GT Sport, or like a 1000hp screaming drag tune, that it's crap.

I generally do tend to ignore those people, most of them are people that hate Forza in general or complain when it isn't the latest superhypercrapmobile.

Don't get me wrong, I like supercars and the occasional hypercar, but it is not a detriment to the game for me if the latest one isn't added within seconds of the world knowing it exists.

I absolutely agree that the sounds in FH4 could and should be better across the board, but man does it get dull clicking on YouTube videos of the game, and the comments are just dozens of people whining about the engine sounds.

There's someone with an entire YouTube channel that seems to be dedicated to chronicling and complaining about the sound in Forza, haha. Can't recall the name.
