After thinking about it more and more, I'm kinda looking forward to trying out the eliminator. As long as it doesn't get included in the playlist. I'm sure it will be as fun as the devs made it out to be. We also will make money and xp from it too, so double the fun to be had. :)

I'm just glad we don't need to pay for it. That's the one thing I'm the most happy about, and the devs just keep on giving (for free too!) Can't complain about that at all, so I'll give this new mode a chance and see what's up. 👍

Also, TOYOTA IS BACK!

Lol you really signed up just to say that? I’m sure being credited would be nice but it’s Not like anyone was trying to steal any thunder whatsoever. Posting the discord source wouldn’t even work for the vast majority of people because they’d actually have to sign up in the first place so simply asking would have sufficed, really.

Why was Pitbull so mad about this?? Picture that with a Kodak

The biggest concern will be the allocation of AWD cars for this. It would be Preferable if they had some basic Modifications to them and had it, or all of a certain stage being FWD or RWD.

If they haven't thought about it, I would be surprised though.

It may not be different to you, but it’s a hell of a difference to me. Everybody has their favourite manufacturer, mine is Audi, so of course I want new Audis in the game. And the new RS models are new generations of cars with new looks and performance, plus we don’t even have a single Audi SUV in the game :(

And the argument that different generations don’t have much difference between them can be applied to almost all manufacturers, from the million new BMWs and Porsches we got in the past to almost all the Renaults in this update.

I was talking about new Audis added to the game, and Caddy doesn’t really have any new cars that need to be added to the game, not until the Blackwing cars come out at least. It’s a completely different story when talking about old Caddys in which case we def need more of them :D

I'm about to buy my second Audi, I really like them, but I also like variety. Rather than give us up to date cars just because they are up to date, I would rather we got interesting cars that haven't ever featured in Forza, or ones we've all loved from previous games. You're right about not having any Audi SUVs, I was really hoping for the Q7 V12 TDIs return.

The Eliminator is not a "holiday gift" to us, it's Microsoft abusing FH4 to get more Game Pass subs.

It's unclear to me if its development had more influence from Playground or Microsoft. I'd guess it's a joint effort since PG is now a first-party studio and they're bending over to Microsoft for approval on every chance they get. On the other hand, Microsoft needs a first-party battle royale and which game better to do it on than their most popular title?

Halo community rejected battle royale in Halo Infinite. To see some people in Forza community ok with it leaves me disappointed. And it's funny because I think battle royale perfectly suits Halo...

Kick in the balls is having to play the Eliminator to unlock not only the Supra but also one of the new Renaults and, at Tier 24(!), the Mercury Cougar. The salt on the wound is the inability to have different Supra builds without having to scavenge the AH for more of them, like with the Skyline GT-R and the Mazda RX-7 in FH3.

Well, the game has completed its metamorphosis into automotive Fortnite now. I'm starting to wonder whether there will even be an FH5 in the near future considering you don't just add a battle royale mode to a game you expect to support for one more year at the most.

I'm disappointed they skipped the Alpine GTA Le Mans for a Renault-themed update. It's one among few cars I really want to see back at Horizon! Then seeing something completely random like that Clio Concept taking a spot only makes it worse. Though, I'm glad to have the new Alpine A110, Clio V6, and two additional generations of the Megane R.S.

Also not overly thrilled how they made a big deal of Toyota's return and then only add one car for a whole season. "TOYOTA IS BACK" feels more like Supra is back. I will be holding my breath for some Toyota secrets in the advent calendar, but I probably shouldn't set myself up for another disappointment.

Finally, what happened to Camaro IROC-Z that was teased? It's strange to officially promote a car and then keep it out for who knows how long...

Sorry for double post but the fanbase of Toyota basically amounts to (MkIV) Supra and Hachiroku.

If you like anything else such as a Lexus LF-A, Celica GT-Four, Soarer, etc. you're already an outcast. :P

It has been said several times that the Supra will be available in the Auto show, so you don't have to play the Eliminator to get access to it and you will be able to have multiple builds, which wasn't an issue any way since you can save multiple tunes for the same car.

It probably won't be the only way to unlock the Renault or Cougar either.

I don't see how adding a new feature for everyone is abusing FH4 for more Game Pass subs. Game Pass has enough big name titles, such as Halo, Sea of Thieves, Gears, etc, to warrant subscriptions on its own without needing to "abuse FH4" to generate subs.

Your anti-Microsoft bias is showing.

It's the combined whole of Toyota's return I'm looking forward to, but I do have a deviant soft spot for the Corolla SR5. Overall I just want more variety wherever it makes sense. The Supra is a nice addition, but on its own it's not game enhancing like that Mitsubishi DLC that brought several cars in one go. I'm sure there might be good reasons why they cannot do the same Toyota, but drip-feeding one car per season just feels flat.

Hey, it's a gift to us.. and we are also part of the Forza Fan Veterans. :P
I don't see where is the problem in adding fresh modes never seen before. And I don’t get it.. Why are you compare it to some shooter, even FPS?
I'm way more exited over this new mode than the return of the Supra. :D

Not this **** again.

To see some people in Forza community ok with it leaves me disappointed.

Fun fact: we're not all super serious sim racers who want Forza Horizon to be a slavish cruising simulator. It's certainly an interesting enough idea (and from what has been shown in previews, done with enough care even if it is a clichè idea) and what's important is that it has people interested in Forza Horizon again, even those that don't play racing games religiously like those in this forum. Which is something that the insularity of this forum more or less contributes to: the vast majority of people I have seen people outside of GTPlanet react positively to it, and have interest in at least giving an honest, college try.

This forum and some within it really can't get their heads wrapped around the idea that Forza Horizon is a bridge title - that a good chunk of those playing it aren't die hard racing fans that peruse forums like this, or playing racing games once in a blue moon. To say that it 'leaves you disappointed' that some people are interested in giving it a try really just screams that sort of elitism and thinking that your word somehow trumps the vast majority of players, which considering it's you it's coming from, I'm not surprised by.

You do realize that it's still planned to be able to buy the Supra through the Autoshow right? So the rest of your point is moot.

Well, the game has completed its metamorphosis into automotive Fortnite now.

Again - is that bad, when you consider that Playground has to contend with a group of people who don't care about racing games and yet enjoy Forza Horizon, and don't go feral for whatever new car might be coming in post launch content? Because as mentioned before, the player base of Forza Horizon isn't made up completely of people like us.

I'm starting to wonder whether there will even be an FH5 in the near future considering you don't just add a battle royale mode to a game you expect to support for one more year at the most.

Make outlandish, conspiracy theory style statements and treat them as fact, ????, profit. Do you go over your posts before you send them? Because this sounds ludicrous.

Why would you want to come out and act like someone is trying to steal your thunder when it literally isn't happening is the better question. Sounds a bit like an overreaction.

Discord link doesn't work for people who dont have discord, so again, even if he posted that, the vast, vast majority of people wouldn't even be able to see the source. I'm sure if you were actually a part of this forum you would have actually been tagged, but you weren't. Simply asking for them to credit you would have sufficed, rather than pretending you've been wronged.

Massive overreaction is a massive overreaction. A typical one at that

Why is everyone talking about Fortnite as if it's the reason that Battle Royale games originated. It wasn't even near the first, and it wasn't the only one that pushed it to the forefront. It just jumped on at a time it started getting popular and took thunder from the one making the push. What it did is function better as a working game.

Battle Royale games are extremely popular right now, it makes sense to add it to one of your biggest franchises to attract new players and keep the existing fanbase.

It also makes it seem like you are the only person to discover this leak. Newsflash: You weren't and you more than likely weren't the first, nor will you be the last person to ever discover a leak like this.

Megane is locked behind this worst mode and cannot be bought at auto shows.
And they basically don't add career mode or star card prizes to things like Festival Playlist and season event. It is unlikely that Megane will be available in other ways, such as Festival Playlist or Forzathon Shop.
I'm seriously frustrated with them. Not ironic.

Umm. Why are you already deeming something the "worst" when it JUST came out today? Also, all you have to do is participate the event and you earn influence and money at the same time. I don't think it will be hard to get the two cars at all imo.

Something like the Eliminator can become addictive, you just need to give it a chance and at least try it out.
