I won the Eliminator (on my second try).
I only did 1 battle (i played stealth then successfully guessed the way of the last rush to get a head-start)

Really, the best strategy in my short time playing this new mode is basically to be as non-confrontational as possiblr, and try to get something off road based or with AWD lest you need to blast through the trees.

Also been saved by the bell a couple of times with regards to getting challenged and then having the Final Showdown begin it's count down.

This honestly sounds like the kind of thing I'll just blast through to unlock the cars (mostly will do it for the Megane to be honest) and then not bother to touch again.

My first win in the Eliminator was satisfying! After playing for awhile, I finally got this beautiful thing. Well worth it!

Edit: My second win was with the Mini Cooper (lvl. 1) with me taking the flag against a high level driver. Thank lord for short cuts though. :D

That seems to be the ultimate challenge for Eliminator, win in the starting Mini, although it appears the Pacifist achievement is bugged right now(possibly the Heads Up one too.) because no ones got it and I’ve been in the final showdown twice with the Mini. ;)

The Underdog achievement was one that did initially worry me, but then I somehow got it in an unintentional power move way.

Had a Level 5 Ranger, beat a Mini, ditched the Ranger FOR the Mini, then beat a level 6 Bentley with it. :D

As someone who’s only other Battle Royale experience was GTA5’s Motor Wars, It felt pretty good to play the Eliminator, but like a few others here, hope it doesn’t join the festival playlist in the same way that the Playground Games are currently done. :scared:

But if you had to say.. play 3 or 5 games of Eliminator each in game year like the monthly TT or Ranked Adventure, then that could be a fair compromise for all IMO.

Just thought I mention this for those who prefer the sneaky approach to BR modes.

If you come to a stop and wait a few seconds, your marker on the map goes dim and given that I spotted a Evo parked up and had no marker on the map, I believe it means you can hide and not be found and challenged so easily. ;)

Let me know if that’s actually the case. 👍

Yeah, I think they even said that if you stay still you are hidden.

I won the Eliminator on my second try. I had moved up to the Ram Rebel TRX. Someone in a GT-R challenged me and lost so I got their car. Then it was just balls to the wall for the final race. It feels nice to come in first out of 66.

All Eliminator is reminding of is how much I hate trees in racing games. Stupid useless trees! Always getting in my way to glory! :grumpy:

Also, I have no clue about what I'm doing, I don't even know how to find cars in this game.

Look for two or three small columns of purple smoke, usually around buildings or places of interest.
Gotcha. That's the main thing that is puzzling me, how finding cars even works. I noticed the level system and already did get a car on my first time playing, I just didn't know how to repeat that.

Some players won them, so if it's bugged, it's not totally bugged. ;)

It works, thanks for the tip!
It's very handy to reach the final showdownn, especially for some achievements. Well, you'd better like stay still in the woods...

I do admit that it would be nice if there was more...sense to where Car Drops spawn, and there be a much better way to discern where Car Drops are on the mini map. Ala' Control Points in BFV's Firestorm, where one could see it on the map and also watch it be taken by someone, or themselves.
