Car Drops are not the way to go, it's best to get them early then move your way up the ranks in H2H, only then will you be able to get the best cars.

Worth mentioning that you can prey on the weaker cars to increase levels. It's only a good idea to tackle a higher-leveled opponent if you're sure you can win. There are some higher level cars with crippling weaknesses.

There is some sense of balance to the cars. Beware when attacking Minis... It's surprisingly capable and you might be in for a nasty surprise!

Overall, my tantrum is not completely justified, but again, this is not what I like to do in the game, I prefer finer competition in proper routes instead of Free Roam Rush.

Second Eliminator win, 1out of 60, 3 head to head wins, one of them winning a level 10 car with my level 7. This was a great day!:lol:

I was trying to go for that achievement where you can't use any drops and it's very hard. The easiest way to win is to luck out on high level drops right when you spawn then use your car's power to thrash the opposition and make it to Level 10. If you don't use car drops, you need to either climb levels one by one or try to defeat a Level 4 car early with the Mini. There are some cars within reach of the Mini but you'll be handicapped no matter what you go up against.

This was more fun than expected, but I’m not sure how much I’ll play it.

I lucked out on my first game and ended up with an Aventador after tagging a lower level player. I came in 3rd, so not bad for a first.

Also, it gives me these open world PGR vibes, I love it.

In the meantime why not review the new cars from today.

Toyota Supra:

Pros: Comes with a ton of customizable parts and some bizarre yet effective tuning options like the McLaren/BMW V12. Looks pretty.
Cons: It's a Supra... Doesn't drive very well, really. A 300ZX is superior. Also has a slight bug in the exhaust for some rear bumpers.

It's worth mentioning that the Supra in this game is a very good drifter. The Supra HE is my most used car in FH3 for a reason. It doesn't like circuit racing, though, unless you really go hard on weight reduction, only to end up at around 1220kg still. Then you get smoked by an NSX in the corners.

Grade: 9.8/10

Renault Mégane R26.R:

Pros: Everything. I can't find a single flaw in this car! It can't be this good IRL, no way! :D
Cons: Needs to reach Eliminator Tier 10 to unlock (and that's about it since the car is insanely good).

With stock tire compound, no weight reduction and no aero this car will reach 7.2 handling at A800. That's absurd, it's 2018 Civic Type-R level of performance. It must be some kind of race car for the road with all that hardware, it's the only way this car can be this good.

Grade: 10/10 and I would give it 11/10 if possible.

All Eliminator is reminding of is how much I hate trees in racing games. Stupid useless trees! Always getting in my way to glory! :grumpy:
Yeah, the trees are annoying, but they’re also the great equalizer. A level 1 Mini has a chance against even a level 10 car if the Mini driver can just avoid the trees.

Also, how do we get the 18 renault megane rs
Get to level 10 in Eliminator. EDIT: sorry, wrong Megane. I don’t think you can get the ‘18 RS until the new season starts next week.

Well, that’s it for me tonight. I got to level 12 and I won the Eliminator three times. The last time, I found a level 7 Bentley Continental right away. So I just parked in the forest until we got down to 12 players. I made a guess the finish was going to be in Edinburgh and took off that way immediately. I guessed right and won by a big margin.

Before shutting off the XBox, I took place in one Forzathon Live. I wanted to see how many Supras showed up. There were six. Three were white with black hoods, and three had that awful orange and green paint from the first FF movie. I was the only one in the Megane R26.R.

First try at the Eliminator was so unluckily. Just before the start saw a Focus drop so I decided to collect it. By the time the animation ended was already outside the ring with only half of my life remain. Died before reaching the safe zone. Ended last.
Really like this mode so far. Maybe it just because Head-to-head races are so intense. Had my palms sweaty, mom's spaghetti.

I try to get a level 5 drop early and chase down a level 1 to upgrade my car. Then, it's a matter of stealth.

I managed on my first attempt to get in the top 30 without trying, I only got eliminated due to confusion. I had no clue where I was going in a race and got stuck. *facepalm*

I did better after that and eventually got to a point where I could make it to the final event. I had another problem though, I couldn't find any cars to level up with. I ended up doing the final race in one round using a R32 Skyline GT-R for instance.

I gave it another go this morning. Lost early in two rounds, then won it overall for my fourth win. I'm really enjoying this game. So much so that I have to remind myself to do the daily and weekly events.

Same, I got so tied up in the Eliminator I almost forgot about the playlist.

I can't seem to find good vehicle drops... whatever you do, never go for the G63 6x6!

So far I've come across nothing above level 5, except the one time I found a Lvl 8 Gallardo and couldn't swap since I was in a H2H.

The Supra is one I will avoid in the future, even if I'm in the Mini, it just isn't built well for this mode. The Ranger T5 is pretty good.

My best drop was a Bentley Continental. I like the Ranger but it's top speed is about the same as the Mini, about 124-125 mph. My favorite so far is the level 6 Audi RS6. I beat a level 8 Urus across Astmoor just on speed alone. And I agree with @-Fred-, the 6x6 Merc is useless.

Good to know, I never came across the Bentley or the RS6, lol.

V60, RS2, R32, Touareg, Supra and Ranger are all I came across.
I came across a Raptor once but missed out on it somehow.

There's a few guaranteed drops I think, I know I had a Golf R show up more than once in Ambleside near the pub close by Sunflower Meadows, and I've seen an R8 right next to the festival garage (good luck getting that one) but yeah, most of what I get are the level 3-4 cars at best.

Luck is really a big factor. Manage to get a lv7 Cayenne right after the start than start to hunt others. First win upgtaded to lv8 Gallardo Spider. Second win lv9 Acura NSX and just before the last round managed another win for the lv10 AMG GT.
The AMG is pretty fast but my best one was the lv9 Aventador. The RS6 is also a very good car.

I'm trying really hard to get the "Heads up" achievement, but no luck. The thing is, I won the event in my mini cooper with no car drops as the achievement says, but it didn't unlock...

For some reason it's stuck at 50% which I hope is a bug, because if I want to have to win the event twice just to get it..... If it was "complete" instead of having to win, I would understand, but you literally have to win without any car drops except in head to heads I think?

I don't get it... >_>

They are, but in every other case of racing; I HATE them! I really do hate them! I hated them in every racing game I have played since TDU1.

Another funny thing I forgot to mention is last night; I think I encountered a wierd glitch twice. For 2 rounds of playing, noone could challenge me to a race nor could I do the same with them. Note: This was when there were 20 something drivers left in each time this happened, so it wasn't due to the game narrowing down to 11 or 12 drivers left.
